“Oh, mother what are you doing here?” Philip asked astonished how mum knew about it. Could it be Bertie who leaked the secret to her? But Bertie’s expression made her look innocent about what was happening.
“I asking me what I am doing in my husband’s company?”
“Sorry, mum?”
“Sorry about what, the pseudo pregnancy that has been a threat to you all this while?”
“It isn’t fake, Philip slept with me at the hotel he got himself drunk and I carry his baby,” Bertie said, probably she could outsmart them.
“Then let’s go to the hospital”.
“Fine, I agree”.
Philip looked more confused, he opened his drawer to reach out for the folded paper, but it was gone. Things were beginning to get difficult and confusing.
“What are you looking for, for Philip, is it this?” Shannon brought out the folded paper, waving it in the air.
“I can’t get this, how did you get that?” Philip stuttered “It’s high time mum, you invade my privacy too much,” Philip said in fury.
“You never had privacy, and who the hell do you think you are to hide things from me?”
Philip was very angry but couldn’t do anything other than just sit, boiling in silence.
“Now get up from there now and drive us down to the hospital”.
Philip stood up reluctantly and picked up his car key. He shuffled his feet out of the building towards his car as he was followed by Bertie and Shannon.
“Mum, mum” A voice called from behind, turning back to see who was the caller, she turned out to be Sandra. Sandra trotted to meet Shannon.
“I have been hearing some harsh voices, but I never knew it was you, I was like since the CEO was around he should be able to resolve any fight popping up, not until I was informed by one of the workers who told me what was happening, is it true?”
“Yes, daughter, but I insist on us going to the hospital to confirm if that test is correct”.
“Okay mum”
“Sandra take care of the company”.
“Definitely”
Philip got into his convertible, and Shannon joined Bertie in the back seat of the car. Sandra waved as Philip drove off.
Sheila was in the supermarket when Gabriel came to meet her.
“What’s up, babe?”
“Am fine and you too”
“Same, am very fine”
“That’s good”
“I got a plan because I don’t want to be far from you”
“What’s the plan?”
“Working as a driver or a gateman in Philip’s house”
Sheila giggled for a moment. “We have enough workers at every post so I don’t know how to get your plan done or do you know?”
“Nothing again, no wait, I think I remember something now, how about cooking up a lie against the present gateman to cause him to be sacked and employ me”
“Gabriel!!!!!” Sheila exclaimed “That is too much for me to execute”
“For our other plans to be executed easily, you’ll have to get this small job done”
“Do you call it a small job?”
“Yes oo”
“Anyway I’ll still think about it”
“Can you get me anything to eat?”
“Gabriel you so much love food, anyways what would you like me to buy for you?”
“Anything"
“You sure?”
“Yep”
"Okay, I’ll get you Sharwama”

At the first hospital, they went to, the result showed she was pregnant. That was where she had cooked up the plan. But still, Shannon wasn’t convinced, so she decided to try another hospital, their family doctor.
After the test, they sat down at the reception office. Within a few minutes, Dr. Vivers came out of the lab with the result.
On checking the result, it was clear that Bertie hadn’t anything like pregnancy. Shannon gave Vivers the first result they did.
The doctor upon seeing it, knew at once that it was a fake result.
“This is a fake result isn’t it?”
The doctor said, staring at Bertie who was short of words. But then she thought she couldn’t just give up. So she said “This is not a fake result yours is fake if not then let's test another hospital entirely” Bertie turned to Shannon “You’ve tried mine and also your family doctor, let’s try another one I want both of us not to know”
“Let's go ahead” Shannon Vivers shunned.
“You don’t have to go anywhere because in case you don’t know Philip you are incompetent to impregnate”
“That can’t be true”
“It Is ma but you can see me later on that”
Philip was down again, Shannon sacked Bertie right away as they went on to meet with Dr. Vivers about Philip’s health.
