Philip had started working in his office when he heard a knock on his door.
“Yes come in,” Philip said.
Sandra entered the office, Philip looked up and found out it was his sister.
“Good morning”
“Good morning Sandra, how are you”
“Fine and you”
“Beautiful”
“That’s very good, have your sit”
Sandra sat facing Philip “I am having something to discuss with you”.
Philip immediately sat upright and stopped all he was doing, paying keen attention.
“Go on”
“I am about to travel out to oversee and not only that but also settling there. So I told mum about it and she agreed. I don’t want to keep you out of it which is the reason for me being here and indirectly I will quit working here”
“That’s quite great, you’ll be settling there, so when will be going?”
“Ending of this month”
“Wow that’s so fast and how about marriage?”
“I’ll settle down soonest”
“Okay before you go I’ll give you a token to use for whichever thing you would love to use it for”
“Thank you” Sandra stood up “I’ll have to go now goodbye”.
“Have a nice day”
“And you too,” Sandra said as she left for her own office.
Philip was very happy with his sister’s plan of traveling oversee. No one to disturb him again.

“Grim….Grim……Grim “Shannon’s phone rang Shannon was busy watching an American movie. Her attention diverted instantly to her phone which she picked up to check the caller’s ID. It turned out to be Pastor Wilson.
“Hello Pastor”
“Shannon how are you and how is everything over there?”
“Fine sir”
“It’s been a while since you came to church, hope there isn’t any problem”
“No Pastor, I’ll even come to see you today, I have something to discuss with you which isn’t right to be discussed on phone”
“Then, I’ll be expecting you, the Lord bless you”.
“Amen pastor, have a nice day”
“And you too” Shannon cuts the phone and immediately dialed Philip’s number. Philip picked it up.
“Can you come and pick me up at home?”
“Am very busy now mum”
“It’s very important and it’s because of you, pastor Wilson called.
“And what did he say?”
“Nothing but then I told him we are coming to meet him today”
Philip heaved “Okay mum, give me thirty minutes and I’ll be with you.
“I’ll be expecting you” Shannon cuts the phone call.
“I have tried to dodge this but finally I will still be forced to go and meet this pastor, I hope he doesn’t say nonsense this time around”.
Philip picked up his car key and went out of the building, zooming off with his car to Shannon’s house.
After some minutes, he got to his mum’s place. Shannon was already outside the gate, carrying her handbag, tying a black scarf to have her hair covered, and wearing a pleated wine color gown with designer sandals. Philip stopped the vehicle right in front of Shannon, she entered, and then they began the journey to Pastor Wilson’s place.
Philip was more on driving not even noticing if there was someone in the e=vehicle while Shannon stared through the window at the trees, forests, bushes, houses, churches, shops and so on that were beside the road. She saw people who were on their farms doing very serious cultivation. Young boys and girls at the roadside hawking.
Shannon didn’t like such a thing, she had always wished to be of help in such a situation. She hope she could do something which would benefit the children and add great value to their lives. Shannon diverted her attention away from the window, staring at her son,
Philip who seem absorbed in the driving thought they were hooked in a hold-up, he tried maneuvering his way through the vehicles which he did although it wasn’t easy.

Driving to the church hadn’t been an easy task for Philip due to the hold-up on their way which turned a journey of just thirty minutes into something of one hour. Philip finally drove into the church compound and parked at the church garage where the pastor’s car was. Shannon alighted from the vehicle after locking the car Philip joined her and they both breezed into the church. They found Pastor Wilson there with his Bible, reading and probably meditating.
“Good afternoon Pastor” Shannon greeted, attracting Wilson’s attention and giving him the awareness that they were around already. Wilson looked up and said
“Oh Shannon how are you today”
“Am fine, thank you, Pastor”
“Have your seat please” Wilson said as they both
brought chairs among the church chairs to sit.
Philip also bowed greeting Wilson who asked him about his work and marital life. He further advised him that there will be ups and downs in marriage and later prayed that god will uphold his marriage.
Wilson turned to Shannon and ask her the reason why she came to see him.
“Pastor the vision you saw for Philip almost caused a problem for his new family because it almost came to pass but I thank God he saved him”
“Praise God”
“Halleluyah” they chorused.
“But Philip why don’t you hearken to God’s voice?, you should have desisted from your old ways of life, but anyway I thank God you have learned your lesson now and I pray nothing of such will come up again”
“Amen,” they chorused.
“Let’s pray”
Shannon and Philip knelt as Wilson prayed for them. After the prayer, Wilson still told them to sit for some time.
“Sorry for the disturbance but I have to tell you this”
“Okay pastor,” Shannon said.
“During the prayers, I was made to know that what you saw wasn’t the doom coming. The one coming is mightier than what he has seen. If you are not careful Philip it will crush you”.
‘” Really?” Shannon said her mouth opened in awe.
“Yes, but I believe the lord will take control of everything in Jesus' name”
“Amen thank you so much, Pastor”
“Thank God”
Shannon and Philip bade the pastor goodbye as they left the church. Twilight was coming very fast and they were going home which could be compared to a journey also. They had to get home as early as possible because the sky contained dark clouds, piling together, lightning and thunder, indicating rain.
Philip had all that Pastor had said running in his mind, he couldn’t concentrate, he tried clearing up his mind but another thought or the other came ringing in his mind. Wilson had said that the impending doom was coming from someone very close. Who could this be? and what does such a person propose?
“Philip, Philip, Philip” Shannon yelled as she woke him up from his subconsciousness, pointing his attention to a 4- corner vehicle that was facing their car, immediately Philip dodged the vehicle, swerving sideways.
“What were you thinking of, you almost killed us both, please don’t let the devil use you”
“Sorry mum, just thinking about what Pastor told us”
“Think about home, but my son it’s been a while since you married, I expect something already at least pregnancy from your wife., hope all is well?”
“Yes mum all is well but I haven’t told her to go for a pregnancy test”
“And what about her, she isn’t making any move about that?”
“ Probably she feels I have to order her before she goes”
“Please do if that is the case”
“Okay mum,…. I heard about Sandra’s plan of
traveling oversee, and I was surprised to hear that she would be going before the end of the month.
“You’re right and I am happy that her fiancée also base oversees”
“Wow, she didn’t tell me about that, that’s good anyway”
They continued their discussion about their family, company, and sort. The road was free unlike when they journeyed to the church but the rain began to fall heavily. Philip began to drive slowly.

Philip got home late after dropping his mother at her house. He horned and immediately someone opened the gate. He was surprised but later remembered what Sheila discussed with him.

“Is that the new gateman?” Philip asked Sheila who came out of the house to welcome Philip under the corridor.
“Yes, I thought I told you about him that they call him area man”
“That’s good, was he very happy when you told him?”
“Yeah, and he was very willing to obey the rules and regulations attached to his job in his compound”
Sheila opened the entry door, entered so also Philip and he closed the door behind him.
