**Mellic/Asna PoV**
"How's life in your new place? Are you happy there?" Violet has been asking me this over and over.
"Yes, I've met a lot of people there, and they are kind to me. I even built a hacienda so they wouldn't have to struggle to get fruits from faraway places."
"Wow! By the way, I have news for you."
"And what is that?" I'm currently in my chamber resting because I got tired from the journey, and my shoulder hurts.
"It's about Venom. He's actually the missing first prince that the Emperor had been searching for a long time."
"So? What does it matter if he's the first prince?"
"Tsk! Don't you remember you told me you wanted to be Empress?" Violet has no idea that I'm not the real Asna.
"Not anymore; it's better if you don't have any responsibilities to take on."
"What are you talking about? It's not that much, and being Empress is great! You just have to get pregnant with the heir to the kingdom."
"Tsk! What's so great about that? To me, it sounds boring."
We both turned when someone knocked on my chamber door, and it was my father's butler.
"Princess Asna... There’s an invitation from the Emperor; he wants to see you." He handed me a red envelope.
I opened it and read that he was inviting me because he had something important to say. I also heard that Yna was at the palace because she is now engaged to Venom.
She's too greedy for power... Maybe it's time I show her who she's really up against.
I wanted to rest, but I also needed to find out what the Emperor wanted. I asked my personal maid to fix my hair in the style I wanted.
After getting ready, I headed to the palace. The palace isn't far from us, so it was easy for me to get there.
When I got off, I didn't expect her to be the first one to greet me. It felt like my day was ruined all of a sudden.
"Princess Asna, I'm very glad you're here at the palace." I noticed her outfit looked like she had prepared for my arrival. I ignored her and walked past her.
"How rude of you, Princess Asna... I'm going to be Empress, but this is how you treat me in front of my maids? Haven't you been taught manners?" she said sarcastically. I turned to her and approached her with a disgusted expression.
"Manners? I have those, but I only show them to people who deserve my respect. So who cares if you're Empress here?" I noticed she was starting to get annoyed by what I said.
"An Empress is a lowly thing in this Empire. What power do you have without the Emperor's authority?" I replied with a sarcastic tone.
"Do you know that disrespecting royalty can lead to dea*th?"
"I know, but you're not an Empress yet, right? So you don't deserve my word RESPECT. Don't raise your dreams too high, Yna... Remember if I ever release Venom from that potion of mine. What will happen to you? So think before you speak because it might hasten your downfall." I whispered to her, sensing she was just holding back her anger in front of me.
"What are you talking about? Venom loves me, and actually, I'm pregnant; he will be the father of my child."
"Really? Then congratulations; I hope you're not just making that up. It's bad to lie, Yna, but for you, that's normal. You do it every day." I said with a smile.
"What are you talking about? Of course. Venom and I are a perfect couple; I don't care if that's how you think of me."
"Oh really? I know... The snake and venom are the same. So no wonder you're a perfect couple. You know what, Yna? The Elloi is not powerful enough to shake me... I can create my own authority as much as I want. I can be powerful on my own without relying on others."
"So if you're challenging me, make sure you can match my level! Because I don't want to waste my time on nothing. So good luck."
"You b*itch!" she shouted angrily. That made me laugh at her expression.
"It seems like you're the one who hasn't been taught manners between us two. At least I know how to respect others, but it looks like you've forgotten because you feel favored just because you're the most beautiful in the Empire?"
"I pity you for being a doll because you need to look beautiful in front of others just to get their attention without realizing that you're becoming fake."
I crossed my arms while smirking at her.
"I wish you luck, Yna... And welcome to hell because soon I'll drag you there." I smiled like a true villain from a novel.
"What's happening here?" I turned at the sound of the voice; it was none other than Venom. I saw Yna crying as she ran towards him. Oh, crocodile tears from that bi*tch!
Oh here we go again... Well let's see... Who's really the bi*tch here...

**Mellic/Asna PoV**
"It's okay Venom; Princess Asna and I were just talking about something." He said this, but his face clearly showed he thought I'd done something wrong—obvious in his eyes.
Venom approached me with his sharp gaze fixed on me.
"Can you leave Yna? I want to talk to Princess Asna alone." He said this shocking Yna.
"But Venom, I told you I'm okay; there's nothing for you to worry about—"
"It's okay... I want to talk here especially since she's involved with our baby." He signaled Yna's maid to let her inside.
So it's true she's pregnant?
"Stay away from my wife," he said coldly towards me.
"Shouldn't that be something you'd say to your Empress instead of me? I don't know how she blinded you with reality, but it's better if you keep an eye on your Empress's actions. Don't thank me for this; it's just a piece of advice." As I was about to leave, he grabbed my arm.
"I'm not done—" he pulled me closer which didn't alarm me at all.
"Let me go, p*unk!" I pulled my arm away from him. He seemed dizzy and lost his balance causing him to fall into the lake.
I panicked and called for a knight nearby. He ran towards the lake and dove in. But after several minutes he still hadn't found Venom.
"I'm sorry Princess; I can't find the crown prince." With no choice left, I tore off part of my dress due to its length and jumped into the lake.
I dove deep into the lake but couldn't see Venom until finally reaching the bottom where his body lay still.
I tapped his face lightly and lifted him (Remember Asna can lift heavy things).
I surfaced with him in tow and pumped his chest while leaning close enough for my ear near his mouth but felt no air coming out.
I was about to use my healing powers when suddenly someone pushed me...
"What have you done Princess Asna!?"
"Venom can you hear me?" He looked at me with anger in his expression.
"I know you're mad at me Princess Asna but it's not right involving Venom! He has nothing to do with this; if you're angry at me then take it out on me!" She cried while looking at me tearfully as well as noticing that she was accompanied by the Emperor and some maids...
Yna used her healing powers on Venom; moments later he woke up holding his head.
Then he looked at us...
"What happened?"
"Oh god! Thank goodness Venom you're safe." She hugged him tightly. A maid handed us towels which I took and dried my hair with.
"Eve..." My head snapped towards Venom when he said that name. But he wasn't looking at Yna; he was looking at me.
He stood up and hugged me tightly... I saw how Yna clenched her fists in front of me while Venom embraced me.
"What are you doing Venom? Why are you hugging Asna in front of your fiancée?" The Emperor asked him confusedly.
"Why? Can't I hug the woman I love? And what do you mean fiancée? She's not my fiancée."
"Let me explain your majesty," I said as Yna looked increasingly nervous.
I pulled away from his embrace but he still wouldn't let go of my hand. But then pushed it away firmly.
"Don't touch me! I'm not your Eve..." His expression suddenly changed before my eyes.
I noticed Yna had drunk from the potion and approached Venom kissing him right in front of me. Moments later it looked like Venom was out of it completely.
"Come on Venom." She clung onto his arm but before that whispered something into my ear.
"You'll just wait Asna... Because you'll see how I'll make you cry in front of everyone. I can't wait for that moment." She was about to leave when I pulled her by her hair.
"When will you do it? When you're already six feet under? How dare you say that when you can't even show everyone your true colors?" She swatted away my hand but held onto her hair even tighter.
"What do you mean I'm not done yet... Are you struggling there?"
"You bi*tch—" she couldn't finish what she wanted to say because I'd slapped her hard across the face. She held onto her cheek afterward.
"Do you hear what you're saying Yna? Aren't you ashamed of yourself or is your face too thick that it feels normal now? Because as a woman I'm embarrassed for you. Did you know that? Probably not because you're desperate enough that even knowing your face is thick doesn't stop you."
"So what if that's how it is?"
"So you've admitted that's how it is. Congratulations Yna! Confirmed: You're not just desperate! You're ambitious too!"
"You know Asna! What you're saying is just jealousy because you want what I've got! You should be ashamed! Because everything I've got you'd want to take!"
"Excuse me? What have I taken from you? The fact is... You should have said this yourself instead of being jealous! Duh! Why would I be jealous of you when you've got nothing compared to what I've got? Sometimes you'll need brains when talking with me—not just your mouth."
I noticed she was getting more irritated during our argument. Not me! Yna can't handle just arguing alone!
I watched as she seethed with rage before walking out in front of me alongside an oblivious Venom.
Your attitude won't work on me because even Violet couldn't handle it—how could you?
I'm itching to make sure you'll taste hell... Yna, I'll make sure you'll regret why you're even alive.
