Mellic/Asna PoV
I’ve already gotten ready, and I just wore simple clothes. In short, it was quite formal; I looked like a librarian in this outfit.
Even Violet insisted that I wear a dress, but I refused. I only agreed to go on a date because of the agreement I made with Venom.
I arrived at the palace and waited inside the mansion. Then I looked at the stairs as he came down. He was also wearing a commoner’s dress that matched the color and style of mine.
I saw him smirk as he descended the stairs, and I was surprised when he kissed the back of my hand. Suddenly, he seemed brighter in my eyes.
"Do I look handsome, my Eve?" he smiled at me.
"Yes... you look good," I replied because I couldn't deny how incredibly manly Venom looked in his outfit. I mean, he was very gorgeous. I winced when I saw his reaction; his ears and cheeks turned bright red. Wtf! That expression—don't tell me-----
"You make me flattered." The f*ck!
"Let's go." I started to walk ahead of him, but he stopped me by holding my hand.
"We're on a date. So we should be holding hands." I looked at him and saw his smile. That was the first genuine smile I had seen from him.
He held my hand, and I could hear my heart beating loudly. I've never felt this before... I also never experienced having a boyfriend in my past life. I used to be uninterested when it came to relationships with the opposite s*ex.
We were already in the carriage, and he helped me get inside. He sat next to me but still didn’t let go of my hand.
AWKWARD...
I noticed that he kept staring at me. Doesn’t he get tired of looking at me?
"Can you stop looking at me? It's creepy," I said, but he just smiled.
"I don't care as long as you're this close to me. My heart is beating so fast." Venom is really corny. It was my first date, so I didn't know how to react.
A little later, we got off the carriage. I didn’t know where he was taking me. We walked together, and all the women and men were focused on Venom.
This man is godda*mn gorgeous, but I don’t want to say that to him; it might inflate his ego even more. We arrived at a large store, and then I saw some horses there.
I saw Venom give some money and then show me a horse. He chose a black horse and got on it as if checking something.
Then he came over to me and extended his hand.
"Eve, let's go." I stepped back because I've never ridden a horse before; what if I fall? He noticed that I was scared, so he got down and lifted me to put me on the horse.
Wtf! Venom might k*ill me with nerves; I just closed my eyes because I was really scared to ride. Then I felt him hold my waist; I could feel his breath on my neck.
"Trust me, Asna... I will take care of you," he whispered in my ear as the horse started walking, and I couldn't help but hug his neck tightly.
I closed my eyes in fear... My grip on Venom's shirt tightened; it felt like it would tear because of how thin the fabric was.
When my ear got close to his chest, I could hear Venom's heart beating loudly.
"Do you hear it?" He asked without getting an answer from me. I didn’t know how to respond to that question.
"I mean, can you hear my heartbeat? You're the reason for it. So take care of me." Then he smiled at me. I looked away and turned my gaze to the surroundings.
"You’re really crazy sometimes," I said as my grip on his shirt loosened a bit.
"Don't you feel anything for Yna? She was your first love, but why did you suddenly like me?" I wanted to know what he felt because he's one of Yna's male leads, and what's worse is that he's the most aggressive one.
"Well yes, she was the first person I liked, but when I saw you visiting our mansion, I was captivated by you."
"I remember when we crossed paths; you didn’t notice me because you seemed deep in thought. Then when I saw you talking to Papa, that made me even more enchanted by your actions."
"I don’t believe in love at first sight, but now I've come to believe it since I'm feeling this way about you." He startled me by resting my head against his chest.
"I hope you learn to love me, Asna because if that happens... I'll be the luckiest man in the empire." I stayed leaned against him.
Until the horse stopped walking. I saw the most beautiful lake with a large tree nearby.
Venom set me down and held my hand. I noticed butterflies surrounding us...
"Wait Asna!" Venom stopped me and approached some flowers as if making a crown out of them. He came back to me and placed it on my head.
"You look beautiful, my Eve." Venom's smile was so bright while saying that to me. He seemed so different from his psycho character. Did I tame the ruthless beast? He looks like a puppy wagging its tail at me...
I'm curious... Are you really changing? I'm seeing that this story is taking a different turn, but what worries me is Venom's character as a psycho. I need to know if he's changed.
I saw him sit near the tree, so I cornered him so he couldn't avoid what I'd ask him.
I blocked one of his hands with the tree and brought my face close to his eyes. Then he covered his lips with his wrist while blushing deeply—da*mn!
I did this so he'd talk! What is this guy thinking?!!!!
"I think if you want to do it here Asna, you can just tell me immediately. You make me nervous."
I froze in place because of what he said. What does he think of me? Aggressive!!!!
"What the hell are you thinking, you punk!" and then hit him lightly on the head.

Princess Yna PoV
"I can't believe you did that, Princess Yna," Leo said to me... This guy is useless; I've only used him to show everyone that their perfect knight has feelings for me.
"I don't even know Leo; maybe I'm just fed up with Violet because I've had enough of her hurtful words."
I really showed him my tears.
"I'm sorry Princess Yna; I didn't mean to judge you. I'm sorry." He comforted me and wiped away my tears. Well, I'm also taking advantage of Leo; he can convince the Emperor to release me from the dungeon, so I'm not afraid of being imprisoned because I'm not going to stay here long anyway.
"It's okay Leo... you're very kind; I don't know how to thank you." This is my chance.
"Leo can you convince the Emperor to release me from this dungeon? Because I'm not guilty of anything regarding Princess Violet since everything started; I've only fought back!"
"I know Princess Yna, but it seems there's nothing I can do for you because your punishment is severe. I didn't know Princess Asna had such power over judgment."
I couldn't speak upon hearing "execution."
"You've proven manipulation against the Crown Prince and also used your power against Violet; it seems you've angered Princess Asna."
I clenched my fists and held back from screaming due to anger... How dare you, Princess Asna!
"So maybe this is my destiny but I don’t want to die Leo! Please help me escape; I don’t want to die here." If Leo can't help me maybe Calex is my hope.
"I want to help you Princess Yna but I've pledged never to betray the Emperor. I'm sorry."
"Well! It seems you're useless!"
I stopped talking to him and returned to the corner; biting my lip due to frustration felt overwhelming... This is not an end Asna! I'll definitely drag you into hell with me.

Mellic/Asna PoV
"You're overthinking too much Venom----"
I couldn't finish what I'd say when a familiar figure caught my eye—Is that Duke Flenn?
"What's wrong Asna?" Venom asked but ignored him as my gaze remained fixed on the familiar person—well I'm not sure if it's Duke Flenn!
Then suddenly it hit me; yes it’s him! Our eyes met briefly before he smiled at me.
"THAT DA*MN HOLY SWORD!"
I was genuinely shocked by what Venom said as if he'd transformed into a monster upon seeing Duke Flenn.
"Princess Asna!" He called out while feeling Venom's dark aura behind me as Duke Flenn approached closer.
Duke Flenn took my hand intending to kiss it when Venom pushed me aside so Duke Flenn ended up kissing only my hand instead.
They both froze in front of me—maybe they realized they were having a moment while feeling awkward about witnessing their bromance. Duke Flenn looked surprised too while Venom still had that death glare in his eyes.
"It's a shame that Duke of Northwest can kiss a man's hand," Venom remarked.
"Really? Then who’s the fool who pushed Princess Asna aside just to taste my kiss? Are you perhaps g*ay Venom?"
"Who wants your kiss, you ba*stard----------"
I decided not to intervene; let them handle it—I wanted some peace for now. They didn’t even notice that I'd distanced myself from them.
I wandered around feeling quite good about myself until suddenly there was commotion nearby so naturally, I'd eavesdrop too—and then spotted one of Yna's male leads.
"Is that Ismael?"
According to the storyline Ismael is known as one of the youngest merchants in the empire... He's quite good at selling things... He fell in love with Yna when Levi bought jewelry for their wedding but suddenly fell for her beauty instead.
But in the end of the story he vanished like smoke once Yna married Levi. But then again, curiosity struck when someone stepped on him there!
Suddenly losing interest again made me want to leave until someone mentioned my name among them.
"Princess Asna is here! I've heard she's also a saint so she can help Ismael then."
People started whispering among themselves causing noise which made me want to leave until someone knelt before me.
"Please help me Princess Asna!"
I could see desperation in his eyes but pushed away his hand holding mine firmly.
"Don't touch me! I'm not interested in helping you. I'm just wandering around so stay away from me—I don't even know you." My cold response echoed back at him since he helped Levi find enough evidence for imprisonment leading towards execution.
"Please Princess! I'm aware I've wronged you greatly but please help heal this pain of mine."
I noticed how wrapped up his body was except for his face then removed his hoodie revealing large lumps all over his body.
Honestly speaking—I didn't care what happened or whatever pain he'd endured—it wasn't any concern of mine now or ever since all I'm trying is avoiding trouble or any interaction with strangers.
"So? What does that matter now? That's no longer my problem." Just as I'd turn away someone grabbed onto my skirt—looking down revealed a boy crying before me.
"Help my brother Ismael please...."
My heart sank seeing those bruises all over him....
Suddenly feeling sad reminded myself of past trauma where life seemed unbearable wishing for nonexistence instead.
"Okay.. hey you! Come with me."
I walked off with them trailing behind closely.
"Thank you Princess."
Not saying anything further kept silent as they sat down on a chair nearby.
"Now strip.... I'll heal you."
He looked shocked before removing his clothes—well nice body—not bad at all! Placing hands on his body...
Noticing Ismael’s ears turning red—what kind of expression is that? Once finished healing him readying myself for departure when suddenly he spoke up.
"Thank you again Princess; if ever next time you'll need help I'll gladly assist."
"Nice offer but I'm not interested in your help."
Just then something felt off within myself.
"Well I'm still nice Asna but who’s that guy behind you!" His purple eyes glowed while tremendous black aura flowed around him.
Well Venom seemed like he's in ki*ller mode right now!
"He’s nobody...I just helped him,"
As soon as I'd turned away surprised seeing them staring each other down challenging each other for a fight.
Holding onto my head due frustration caused by Venom's childish antics—first Duke Flenn now Ismael?
I returned pulling on Venom's sleeve from behind.
"Let’s go pu*nk—we're on a date remember? So stop being annoying."
He looked shocked before shyly meeting my gaze—wtf! What’s going on? Why are these guys acting so weird around here?!
"I don't think your name is Asna..."
Raising an eyebrow intrigued by what he'd say next knowing full well how intense anxiety surged through every fiber within myself fearing exposure once revealed publicly.
"What are talking about—I’m not Asna."
Feeling intense dread building inside knowing exactly how hard explaining things would be once everyone finds out who truly am!
"I think your name must be Rose because...... So charismatic." (The moment fell silent)
The moment lingered.........................................
"It’s not very............ sweet?" (The moment went silent again)
He turned even redder upon realizing what he'd just said!
"Creepy," came out flatly.

"So have you found what I've asked for?"
Two men were sent out searching for Kalelei since she’d been missing for several months now—I just want updates regarding her situation—she's one of those most annoying bitches! Leaving Papa behind like that...
Then news reached about her living currently within Duke Flenn’s mansion—remember? She’s engaged now too! Still recalling Duke Flenn’s words stung deeply causing heartbreak within pieces scattered everywhere...
Tears welled up again feeling sorrowful remembering how painful things still are even now...
Flashback (The day he met Duke Flenn)
Back during those days before Asna arrived far away—I had chance speaking with him confessing feelings towards him during those moments filled with immense anxiety finally revealing everything—but all vanished into thin air once spoken aloud…he said:
"I'm sorry Princess Violet but I'm not guy who can love back like you'd wish."
My world crumbled hearing those words yet refusing surrendering hope...
"You love Kalelei?" He shook head denying her affection…
"No—I don’t love her—I’m merely fulfilling responsibilities since she’s engaged now…" So what does this mean? He doesn’t love Kalelei nor does have feelings towards myself?!
"So who do hold dear within heart currently Duke Flenn? If neither Kalelei nor myself occupy thoughts then who else resides there?"
Trying hard suppressing tears threatening overflow watching facade crumble beneath surface…
“Before telling—you must promise remaining kind towards her afterward.” Something felt ominous lurking beneath surface sensing truth hidden away…
“I love your sister…. She’s whom captured heart since day met her.” Bowing head hiding tears forming beneath lashes…pain crushing soul hearing those words spoken aloud…
“I’m sorry meant hurt feelings Violet—I hope friendship remains intact following this.” Grasping heart breathing deeply facing him showing happiest smile ever worn…
“It’s okay—I don’t feel hurt whatsoever.” Yet aching inside hearing such declarations knowing deep love harbored within…
Suddenly startled by gentle touch wiping tears streaming down cheeks unnoticed till now while struggling maintain composure…
“I’m sorry Violet.” Embracing tightly causing sobs erupt uncontrollably breaking free from hold wiping remaining tears furiously…
“I’ll try forget Duke Flenn…happy confessing feelings yet simultaneously hurting deeply wishing erase memories entirely…hoping someday meet again without lingering emotions…” Smiling despite heaviness weighing heavily upon chest…
Since then refrained visiting Duke wondering why Asna hadn’t either…avoiding conversation altogether steering clear painful reminders lurking nearby…
Sighing heavily gazing outside honestly reflecting five months apart still loving fiercely…hating self loving someone unable reciprocate feelings anymore struggling endure pain inflicted daily…
Numerous dates attempted seeking distraction ultimately failing replace place held firmly within heart…clenching fists recalling past events triggered sadness once more…
Unable hold back tears flooding memories resurfacing painfully reminding existence ever present…
