Julianna stared and read through the notes she kept while listening to Eli as if she was listening to someone who is speaking on a radio network. Although she was loud when she was speaking and a little bit excited when she was at the peak of her story nonetheless it was a good audio background that did not even distract her at all. But it would be very good if she had her headphones on and blast her favorite song instead. “And then… I meet his eyes and he smiled at me.” Eli talked and pause, then started giggling again. “His father laughed and smiled. He smiled at me, Anna.” She pushed her off for a bit before she stuffed and used her palm as a cover for her mouth. Julianna stopped herself from adding a few information in her gram and stared at her. “Who?” She asked. Eli rolled her eyes but smile. “You weren’t paying attention, I see.” She took a pause. “His father… You know the father, the daddy, the man, the legend.” She then laughed out loud finding her words funny. Anna smiled and then took her eyes off her. “His father is fun.” She uttered. Eli’s eyes and expression changed and then she nudged her again. “And the son isn’t?” “Well, he is an adventurer but he is more on the calm side. He’s calm.” She added more to what she was writing and stared at her. “What?” Anna asked her when Elizabeth made a funny expression. “You know what. You’re calm, he’s calm. But where is the fun and action, the passion, the fire when both people are like that?” Eli asked. Anna closed her pad and stared at her with a plain gaze. “And where is the calmness when both people are fiery, feisty, funny, and thrill seeking? What can possibly stabilize them?” Her eyes looked at her fixed with her brows being raise. Eli pulled herself back from the chair. “You mean? You approved of my upcoming marriage with his daddy now?” She raised her voice and kept herself from squealing when she looked around. Anna frowned at her. “That won’t work. You will be like a daughter. And if you were together, your fire will probably be tamed in a more reprimanding, firm way. Like a father does.” She uttered and smiled when she saw Elizabeth’s change of expression. “Anna!!” She whined and was fuming for a bit but she was frowning at her. “It will not. And if he does and that’s a different case. It’s on the spicy one.” She answered at her. Anna laughed at her and shook her head. “You and your imaginations. You’re not serious, are you? He’s old. And besides he is way, way older than you and you’re young and you two don’t even have any real interactions aside from those frequent moments that just is a bypassing one.” Elizabeth pushed her hair on her back and exhaled. “C’mon, Anna. Let your girl dream.” She was then laughing. “But he is cute when he smiled with his full smile.” She uttered and she looked like she was almost replaying the moment in her head that made Anna narrowed her eyes at her as if this is something she find absurd but still is acting supportive with her friend’s shenanigans. Anna checked her watch and stared at the time. “He is still not here.” She uttered. She then got her phone and typed Michael a message to check up on him. Eli continued to speak about what happened when she met his father and she continue to listen to every word and converse too, leaving what she was currently doing for a while to tend to her best friend’s stories… ** The professor suddenly talked about their discussion and she sat there. She was listening but her other attention was on the fact that Michael did not make it for today’s class and he did not sent a reply to her message. “What is love?” The professor asked. Answers came from the people inside. Mentions from its Greek meaning came through and it was a division of the logical perspectives down through the most personal ones. A photo was presented in the screen and they were asked to make an interpretation based on what’s on it. The depictions and description of the image were then made and she saw how Elizabeth raised her hand to get the professor’s attention. “Yes Miss Carpe?” “The photo presents two people who were star-crossed lovers. Fated to meet but then bound to separate because of such chaotic circumstances.” Elizabeth answered. There were woos that came through as sounds from the individuals inside the room and Elizabeth remained the same. She was confident and had her shoulders erect straightly while she was standing and was waiting for the professor’s reply. “Good point, Miss Carpe.” He answered. Anna stared at the photo such perception can be made and Elizabeth was right to her own. Suddenly another one came. He stood and stared at Elizabeth and he had this determined look as if he was ready to be challenging her idea. “She’s right but what if it’s a different case. What if these two were fated lovers and although their seemed to exist as a disconnection from now the lines they tread and the light from that radiates from the sides they were on will be the luminance that will guide them back again to meet in between the way.” He uttered before he adjusted his glasses after making his comment. Eli squirmed in her seat and opened her mouth to banter with him. She made another counter attack to his statement and they started to exchange sentiments in front of the class. When suddenly his face changed and his gaze softened at her. “Just like my love for you? Is that what you mean?” He asked Elizabeth. There were coos and all sorts of teasing sounds from the people in class when he suddenly blurted his words in the open and Elizabeth looked as if she was taken aback from what the other had just said, from the processing look down to the change of colors of her cheeks. She was blushing at the sudden change and Anna just smiled at her because for the first time she saw her blushing that hard.
