Julianna was walking through the fields filled with yellow daffodils. A whiff, a gentle nudge occurred depicting the breeze that passed by. She took a deep breath, and another huge inhale. Peace seeped through her as she looked at the skies. The flowers were almost swaying, in one with the breeze that is somehow circling around. She stared at the dancing yellow daffodils and smiled to herself. She was into it, getting lost by the sight of the blossoms when a tap came from behind. Julianna spun herself and for the very first time after he left, she saw him being this happy. There he is, standing right in front of her with a white polo shirt. His eyes were beaming with light, glistening as the rays of the sun almost hit his irises. Julianna smiled and she happily placed a foot forward before she neared towards him. “You have to let go. I am fine.” He uttered. His voice, gentle. And it almost carried a sense of soothe and ache at the same time when she heard his utterance. “It’s hard. Letting you go…” Julianna replied earnestly. She could not lie and doesn’t lie when it comes to telling her realest feelings especially when it is Michael. “I don’t think I’ll be able to handle this. I can’t seem to imagine living my life when all of those memories of us, all every wonderful thing you’ve done is engraved in the inside of my head.” Julianna spoke. “I will always be with you.” It was Michael’s retort. A tear fell on the side of Julianna’s eyes. “You have always been the one who’s fast enough to respond whenever I am hurting. You have always been my solace when I wasn’t able to hold my tears and my heart is aching terribly. And you are always been the peace that fills me.” He bared his open palm in front of her as an invitation. Julianna held unto it. “But you have to live your life even if it means I am not there with you anymore in the physical.” He ushered her to come close. “But rest assured, I will always watch you from where I am at.” He added. Michael moved his lips. He stared at her in a loving way with a gentle gaze and a smile full of reassuring warmth. “So, you have to let me go… Live your life Julianna, the kind of life and the kind you, you have always longed to be. I will be just here…” He pointed out to her heart. “As long as you have me there, you will always be reminded on how I love and treasure you. And it will also be one of the reasons for you to regain your strength if you falter and it will be one of the reasons to propel you to move forward.” She was crying. She was literally feeling the pang, that tightened ache within her heart. Clasping the walls, clenching it as the inside of her chest pumped hurriedly. It was such a heartbreaking thing to say but at the same time it clearly makes sense. “Come here.” He uttered. Julianna went to his embrace and hugged him close. He wrapped his arms around her, securing her as he pulled her closer. “Live your life, Anna. You deserve so much more.” He softly spoke before he moved and planted a soft kiss on the top of her forehead. “Wherever you go, I will be always watching you. And if I will be lucky enough, I can interfere just to keep you safe from any forms of harm. ** Julianna opened her eyes. Tears started to run down her cheeks as she regained back her state of consciousness upon being in a dream. “Michael.” She cried even more. She placed a hand on top of her chest and cried harder. She was sobbing really hard that she has to actually bite her lips to prevent herself from making any sound. “How can I live my life now? It will be harder to let you go…” She whispered as she let herself continue to cry some more. Julianna took a sit. She composed herself, wiped out the remains of her tears before she stared blanky at the wall. Her mind was blank. She can feel the numbness on her torso, the pain in her chest, the throbbing headache but she could not even say to herself that her insides were hurting. She stood and head out of her room when her eyes landed on Russ sleeping beside her door. Julianna stared at him. Flashes of memories came flooding her in. Her tears started to trickle down her lids as Michael’s smiling face plastered on her mind’s eye making it harder for her to look at Russ… She sobbed even more. Russ moved, stirred on his sleep and was alerted. His eyes went towards her and even before gaining from his state he stood from the floor to rushed towards. He was even close to stumbling on his feet yet he went closer to her. “Anna.” His voice was gentle. His eyes looked at her with pity. He himself did not look okay yet he pulled her closer to him. “Anna, what’s wrong? Tell me.” He uttered. But then she kept shaking her head, she was into spasm because of her cries… ** People were sitting on the pews, the others started to enter the church and took the empty space, as they took a seat. Julianna was there, on the side and she was near the altar. She was seeing the altar so close that she stared at the statue of the Heavenly Father. She was staring before she was uttering her thoughts to him. “Why do you have to take him too suddenly? Why him? All of the times we spend together he was a good friend, a good son, a good person who knows how to treat people nicely. He is warm and he is loving and most all of all he still young… He did not even make it…” Julianna uttered as she was able to recall his words as he was sharing his dreams… Flashback: They were sitting at the freshly-crafted wooden chairs that were placed on Michael’s house. They were sitting there. Julianna was reading the book before he tapped her cheek lightly. He was smiling as he pointed at the skies. He was happy and smiled even more when the airplane passed by. “Did you see it?” He asked her. The smile was there and he did not even change his expression. Julianna brought herself to nod. “I did.” She replied. “Someday, I will be the one who will handling the airplane while I keep the passengers safe as they reach their destination.” Michael shared at her with a twinkle in his eyes. Anna smiled. “And some day, I will also be one of the cabin crews serving the passengers inside the plane.” She responded… ** Julianna cried and the tears fell on her cheeks. She was recollecting, retrieving every happy memory she can remember as she thought about Michael that she was not even paying attention to what was the sermon was all about, she did not pay attention to the people or what is been going around. All she ever can think about how she lost someone whom she treasured almost most of her life aside. “Anna.” Elizabeth carefully placed her hand on the top of her shoulders. “It’s time for you to speak about him.” She uttered as she pulled Anna out of herself. She stared at her. Her eyes watered even more when she saw Elizabeth who was already on the verge of tears. Juliaana slowly nodded her head at her. She exhaled a breath before she slowly brought herself to stand. And she went to the side of the altar to the podium… She held unto the mic and her eyes scanned the people that were around. Julianna stared at Michael’s mother who smiled at her. She managed to smile at her sweetly and spoke of an encouraging urge for her to speak while her eyes were looking reddish and she was wiping the side of her eyes from her tears. She just looked at her and plastered a force smile on her face. Her eyes went towards her friends. They were all teary-eyed. Julianna’s eyes meet Russ’ lenses and he was nodding his head, urging her too to speak. Then it hit her even more, that the tears on her eyes started to fall one by one. Julianna took a deep breath before she opened her mouth. “Michael is…” She spoke as she is beginning to speak every word she had prepared to speak about him…
