Chapter 38:

As Nathan, Doms, and Zara made their way back to the shore, the sky above them darkened. Heavy clouds churned, and distant lightning flashed, casting eerie shadows over the landscape. The world seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the storm that was about to break.
“We’re close now,” Nathan said quietly, gripping the blue stone tightly. “The Violet King is preparing for the final strike.”
Zara looked up at the sky, her expression grim. “He knows we’ve gathered the powers. He’ll throw everything he has at us.”
Doms adjusted his knives in his belt, his hat pulled low over his eyes. “Then let him come. We’re ready for him.”
But even as Doms spoke with confidence, Nathan could feel the weight of what lay ahead. They had the power of the Flame, the Earth, and the Water, but the Violet King’s army was unlike anything they had faced before. And the King himself—he was an unknown force, a being whose strength seemed limitless.
“We need to stay focused,” Nathan said, looking at his friends. “No matter what happens, we stick together.”
They nodded, determination etched on their faces.
By the time they reached the city, the storm had grown worse. The streets were empty, and the wind howled through the buildings, carrying the scent of rain and danger. Thunder rumbled overhead, and the air crackled with electricity.
Nathan’s heart pounded as they made their way toward the city center, where the final confrontation would take place. The Violet King’s forces were already gathering—dark, violet-colored creatures swarmed through the streets, their glowing eyes watching the trio’s every move.
Zara held her staff tightly, her eyes scanning the streets. “They’re waiting for us.”
Doms grinned, spinning one of his yellow knives. “Good. Saves us the trouble of finding them.”
But Nathan knew this was only the beginning. The real battle would be against the Violet King himself, and Nathan had no idea what kind of power they would be facing.
As they reached the city square, the ground trembled beneath their feet. A towering figure stood at the center of the square, surrounded by a swirling vortex of violet energy. The Violet King was here.
He was massive, standing at least twice the height of a normal man, with glowing violet eyes and dark armor that seemed to pulse with power. The air around him was thick with energy, and his presence was overwhelming, like a black hole drawing everything toward it.
“So, you’ve come,” the Violet King’s voice boomed through the square, deep and menacing. “I’ve been expecting you.”
Nathan stepped forward, his gloves glowing brightly as he held up the three stones. “We’ve come to stop you.”
The Violet King’s eyes narrowed, and a dark grin spread across his face. “You think those little trinkets will save you? The power I possess is far greater than anything you’ve gathered. I am the storm, the darkness, and the end of everything.”
Nathan felt a chill run down his spine, but he held his ground. “We won’t let you destroy the world.”
The Violet King raised his hand, and the sky above them erupted in lightning and thunder. The wind howled through the square, and the ground shook beneath their feet.
“Then let’s see if you’re strong enough to stop me,” the Violet King growled.
With a roar, he unleashed a wave of violet energy that surged toward them. Nathan raised his gloves, channeling the power of the stones. The energy of the Flame, the Earth, and the Water combined, forming a protective barrier around him, Doms, and Zara.
The wave of violet energy crashed against the barrier, shaking it but not breaking through.
Doms grinned, throwing one of his yellow knives. “Nice try, big guy!”
The knife flew through the air, glowing with the power of the Flame, and struck the Violet King’s armor. It sizzled on impact, but the Violet King barely flinched.
Zara’s staff glowed brightly as she unleashed a wave of water, crashing it into the Violet King’s legs. The ground beneath him rumbled as Nathan called upon the power of the Earth, sending roots and vines shooting up from the ground to wrap around the King’s legs.
But the Violet King snarled, raising his hand and shattering the vines with a burst of violet energy. He swung his massive arm, sending a shockwave through the square that knocked Nathan, Doms, and Zara off their feet.
Nathan hit the ground hard, his vision spinning. The power of the Violet King was immense—far more than he had expected.
“Stay down if you want to survive,” the Violet King’s voice echoed through the square. “You’re no match for me.”
But Nathan struggled to his feet, gripping the stones tightly. “We’re not giving up,” he said through gritted teeth. “Not now.”
Doms and Zara were already back on their feet, determination burning in their eyes.
“Together,” Zara said, her voice steady.
Nathan nodded. “Together.”
They stood side by side, the stones glowing in their hands. The power of the Flame, the Earth, and the Water surged through them, stronger than ever before. They were ready.
The Violet King roared again, unleashing another wave of violet energy, but this time, Nathan was ready. He raised his gloves, channeling the power of the Water to deflect the energy. At the same time, Doms hurled his glowing knives, and Zara unleashed a torrent of flame.
The combined power of their attacks crashed into the Violet King, sending him stumbling backward.
“You’re strong,” the Violet King growled, his eyes glowing brighter. “But it won’t be enough.”
Nathan could feel the tension building. This was it—the final battle. They would either stop the Violet King here, or the world would fall into chaos.
The storm overhead raged on, lightning flashing and thunder roaring as the battle continued. But Nathan knew one thing for sure: they had come too far to fail now.
