CHAPTER 26 Entering someone’s property is prohibited. Basic ethics and morals, as what teachers or priests taught us. Chaz will give me answers. So I headed alone to his place without informing Gelo. Then I heard him screaming for help. In pain. In danger. I forcefully opened the door and thought Kaz was about to kill him. It turned out, that I’m the one on the wrong side. I illegally entered, and stopped them from what they were doing earlier “What are you doing here, Cath?” This time, Chaz’s voice turned mad or serious. His brows crossed while Kaz remained calm and bland. Based on how they’re reacting right now, they weren’t planning to kill each other earlier. I trailed with my first words. “I visited you to ask something you might have an answer for. Aside from Nana’s family, you’re the only one I can trust. Before I even call your name, I heard you screaming for help. I saw Kaz, half-naked, though he’s going to kill you. And then…” I gasped for breath. I don’t know what to say anymore. “There must be a misunderstanding here,” Chaz said. “We must sit on the couch first and get comfy. And for your information, I don’t like what you did, Catherine.” Right, that confirmed that I am the one on the wrong side. I stepped inside without confirming things. But that counts as an emergency right? Just a false one. Kaz put on his peach shirt again, which was placed earlier on the tabletop. He’s half-naked and Chaz was groaning earlier. The two of them must be… Oh my, God! My innocent mind does not accept my conclusion “Tea or coffee?” Chaz asked. My butt hit the couch like a rock. I misunderstood what was happening earlier. I stopped them from the ‘thing’ they were doing earlier. “I’m fine. Thanks.” “What did you see?” Chaz asked again. “I already told you. Half-naked Kaz and he crouched. Though he’s going to kill you. Chaz sighed in relief. Is there something that I shouldn’t see? “Kaz’s my boyfriend.” My jaw dropped in revelation. I guessed before that he was gay because he wears lipstick on his lips and the way he speaks was feminine. In contrast, most of his actions were manly. And he doesn’t look like the type who will enter into a relationship with his student. Kaz’s older than me, but he’s far younger than Chaz. In our training, I wasn’t able to link them to one another. There were no clues to connect. “So the two of you are…” I couldn’t think of the right word to replace a sensual act. That phrase was offending that it seems. If I can only erase it inside my mind, I will. “Nevermind. My innocent brain doesn’t want me to say things.” “Can you stop talking about earlier? It disgusts me that someone saw us. A person who even knew the both of us.”Midway through Chaz’s sentence, Kaz cackled. “Why are you laughing? Did I say something humorous for you to laugh at me like that? And you know I hate that laugh. It attracts me more. Like a magnet or a planet’s orbit.” Kaz waved his hand, indicating he wasn’t laughing because of Chaz. “No, babe.” He gazed at Chaz intensely. The way he looked at Chaz, I could feel there was gravity that pulls him deeply. That was love. Romance. Kaz turned back at me. “We’ve been keeping it as a secret for years. My parents don’t know I’m gay and Chaz’s a well-respected trainer in this town. His image could be ruined if others would know that he’s having a queer relationship with his student. At least we’re both of legal age and there’s no child trafficking. Loving each other is a choice we don’t regret though we had to keep each other…secrets. I trust you won’t bicker about what you saw today.” Being someone’s secret was a sacrifice. I applaud both of them for respecting each other’s decisions. I shook my head. “I won’t talk about that.” Even to Gelo, I thought. Back in my elementary days, I was a secret taker. Everyone in the class will tell me their small secrets because I’m the quiet out of the bunch. And I truly forgot most of those secrets, except for my classmates who had a crush on one of our teachers. “Why are you here?” Chaz asked that question again. “You can’t be here for nothing. It’s between the two. You’re spying or you need something.” “It’s the latter one. I wanted to ask you about something and someone. A particular person and scenario.” Chaz frowned. “I don’t know that much in town except for my students and previous students. I’ll try to answer your questions as much as I can.” “Was the Alpha who killed your parents?” His facial expression tells me he didn’t like the question and why I even bother to ask about it. That was a personal and emotional one. But I need those answers. “He has something to do with it. That’s what I can only say. The only plausible truth.” He didn’t specify it. As of now, the Alpha of the pack was already connected to two different murders, indicating he’s dangerous or heh as the capability to kill. Mila didn’t specify either if it was the Alpha himself who killed her parents or if he’s just a mastermind behind the men who did that. By connecting the dots, I could say there’s a chance the Alpha has to do something with my parents’ death. Does he even know about me or us? Does Mom and Dad do something before that triggered the Alpha? “I’m sorry for asking that question. That’s a personal and tough one.” “You already asked it,” Chaz smirked. Kaz was just listening to both of us. “And I answered it. There’s no need to say sorry for that. You don’t have to apologize for every mistake. If you’re thinking that the Alpha is the one who killed your parents, you should stop now. You’re just putting yourself inside a death pit. Anyways, is it your only question?” I gulped air for the second one. “Do you know anything about Mila?” His eyes zoomed. He knew about her! “You reacted. You must know about her.” He crossed his arms and turned normal again. “Of course, I know about her. The two of us were the only ones who have a special class with my father. In short, I trained with her. And when everyone believes she turned crazy after all these years, I’m the only one who stood up for her until now that’s she’s completely fine. Mila’s not crazy.” Mila trained along with werewolves and Chaz confirmed she’s not crazy. Maybe after this day, I will lose my mind!
