Chapter 60 I'm Home
BELLE'S P.O.V
Could it be her?
But why would Georgia do that?
My headaches for all the information that I got.
The issue about the misunderstanding between Hendrick and me isn't solved yet. And now Georgia came into the picture again.
Just what is happening?
"My lady, are you alright? You look pale," Arkanghel asks me.
He leaned forward so he could see me clearly.
I nodded my head and waved my hand.
"I am okay. I just remember something."
I lie.
We continued eating while my mind was going somewhere if I couldn't comprehend what was happening and the root of all this because if you look at it, I can't really connect what happened that night and the information that I fall arkanghel gave me.
I really need to talk to Georgia as soon as possible.
After we ate our snacks, I told arkanghel to accompany me to my room.
At first, I didn't tell him that I had something to say to him, but I asked for a bit of time with him when we were in my room.
"Come on in," I told him.
He went inside and sat on the mini table beside the window.
"What is it that you like to talk to me, my lady?"
I gave him a serious look before I answered.
"I want you to look for information regarding Georgia. You shouldn't leave anything behind. Can I trust you with that?"
"Georgia, the girl that everyone was gossiping about?" he asks.
"Yes, can you do it?"
"Of course, my lady. Just give me time, and I will give you the report before you know it."
"All right, I trust you. Thank you, Arkanghel."
"You are most welcome, my lady."
When Arkanghel left the room, I asked Benedict to call for May and Hendrick.
After a while, both of them came knocking on the door.
"My lady, it is us."
"Come in."
They both got into the room and bowed at me.
"You called for us?"
"Yes, please sit here."
We are on the mini sala in my room. There was a divider that was parting this place to my bedroom. Although it is just a decoration piece, it is still a good design, and it complements the room.
Just why am I talking about it?
When Hendrick and May finally sat, let's get back to the main point.
I started to tell them the reason why I called them. I decided that we would depart tomorrow.
Hendrick's face lit up.
"All right, my lady. As you wish."
While May's face darkened, I spoke to her.
"And May and Arkanghel, you accompany me," I said to her.
She looked at me with a shocked face.
"Really, my lady?"
I nodded head
"Yes, and I've decided that I will visit the mansion."
They were both happy to hear, so I told them they should pack their things and told Arkanghel what I said because I had forgotten to say to him about it earlier.
May and Hendrick nodded in response.
After a few hours, when we were eating dinner, we talked about what we should do to make the trip faster.
As a mercenary, Hendrick suggests things that he knows, and in the end, we decide that we will follow his lead. Although May doesn't like him, she still agrees with his ideas. Because according to her it will be suitable for all of us.
"Let's end the day here and wake up early tomorrow, so we can leave early, alright?" I told them before we went to our room.
"Yes, my lady," they answered.
When tomorrow came, we gathered in front of the main gate.
"You look tired," I told Arkanghel.
"What happened to you last night?" I asked him.
He wasn't like that yesterday. Although he looked dirty, he didn't look tired.
But now he looked haggard as if he didn't get any see last night.
"I had a hard time sleeping last night, my lady."
"Why?"
I caressed his head because it's pretty funny to see him like this as he is now a grown-up man.
But his actions sometimes show how cute he is. He is such a baby like the first time I saw him.
"Where are your things?"
I noticed that he was not carrying anything.
Arkanghel puts his head on my shoulder by leaving a heavy sigh.
"I forgot to pack, my lady."
"What? Then what are you going to use on our trip?"
Again, he let out a heavy sigh. But this time, with a sound.
"I don't know. I am too tired to pack, my lady."
"What? Our trip will take a few days, so what will he use within those days? Don't tell me he will not change clothes or take a bath during our trip?"
I am not used to seeing him in the same clothes for a few days because he is a clean person.
But maybe he was just too tired last night to do so.
"Then wait for me here. I will pack some of your things."
Arkanghel lifted his head.
"No, my lady, it's okay. You don't have to do it," he said.
"What are you talking about? You don't have any clothes or things right now, so how could I just let it be?"
"But-"
"No buts!"
I move away from him and tell everyone that I have to do something first.
But then, I was surprised when a big bag landed on Arkanghel.
It hits him directly on his head.
"Who throws it?"
Arkanghel couldn't react fast.
Maybe because he is tired. But when he finally realized that someone had thrown a bag at him, he immediately looked around the find who had done it.
"Next time, make sure to pack your things earlier so that you will not trouble my lady anymore!"
May appeared with a smug look on her face on our right side.
Is she the one who throws the bag?
Arkanghel checked and opened the bag.
I also checked it.
Arkanghel's things are inside.
"Did you do this for me?" he asked May, but May just raised her eyebrows at him and said, "Be responsible!"
So May packed Arkanghel things for him, huh.
"Thank you, auntie!"
My jaw dropped because of what I heard.
Did Arkanghel call May 'auntie?'
I look towards May to see her throw another bag in Arkanghel's direction.
"Stop calling me that!" is what she said before leaving.
May went directly inside the carriage, and when I couldn't see him anymore, I let out the laughter that I was keeping.
That's hilarious! Why did Arkanghel call her auntie? Is it because of their age gap?
But it is not that huge!
Wait.
Oh, yeah, their age gap is really huge...
Arkanghel must hurt May.
I laugh because he laughs along with me.
"Why did you call her that?" I asked him while he was still laughing.
"She looks like an auntie!" is what he said.
I couldn't contain my laughter until our team arrived.
We get into the carriage, and Hendrick is the one who guides me.
Although I didn't really need it, he still insisted.
"We will go now, my lady," he said before closing the door.
Hendrick will not ride along with us because he will be in front this time. He is in charge of our safety to avoid what happened before during our trip to the north.
He said that it was better if he took the lead as he had a lot of experience compared to the other knights.
On his side, there was Arkanghel, who was also in front.
He said that he wanted to protect us as an official knights. But for all I know, he just wanted to partner with Hendrick.
Boys and their egos...
Our trip went smoothly because we didn't encounter any monsters or hindrances up to this time. I am thankful that we are safe.
"Do you want me to reheat this, my lady?" Hendrick asked me.
He is talking about the porridge that I am eating right now.
"No, it's okay, thank you. I can eat it this way."
I don't have any issue with what I eat, so I don't have to reheat it.
We are now in the middle of the forest while we are camping.
Because it was already lunchtime, we stopped for a moment to eat. Then after this, we will continue our trip.
I am now sitting on a tree branch while May and Arkanghel are fighting as usual.
"I told you not to put carrots on my food!"/Arkanghel shouted.
"That will help you to gain strength, stupid!" May shouted back.
They kept fighting each other since we arrived here like they were so hyped.
There are no days that they will not fight.
I couldn't help but think about how they managed to survive without me back in the mansion.
Are they fighting like this every day over small things?
It is stressing me out that they are fighting over small things. But at the same time, I find it cute because, after all, they still care for each other.
It's like they were for each other's state, and I find it funny because I act like their older sibling when they fight like this.
I feel lucky because I couldn't get to experience this kind of thing before in my past life.
"Drink, my lady?"
I almost jumped when Hendrick suddenly appeared.
He is holding a bag of water, and he is giving it to me. I accepted it and thanked him.
Hendrick looks like he wanted to talk to me, but because May and Arkanghel were here, I think he is distancing himself from me.
So instead of talking to me, he just sat beside me and continued eating.
When we were done eating lunch, we started to continue the trip.
It took us four days to arrive in the south.
"Are you going straight to the mansion, my lady?" Hendrick asked me.
"Yes, I will."
When we were traveling, I decided to just greet the people in the mansion before I got to the business.
Although I know that it will take some time to greet everyone, I just want to give them a proper greeting because I left them before without saying anything.
Hendrick wanted to accompany me to the mansion, but May and Arkanghel stopped him and said they would accompany me with themselves, so Hendrick couldn't do anything but say goodbye to me.
He told me that whenever I am ready to talk to Georgia, I just have to say to him, and he will come to me regardless of the situation.
I couldn't help but blush a little.
Just why are his words like that?
But then I remember that he is still not clean unless I found out the truth using Georgia.
I want to punch the air right now.
May and Arkanghel accompany me to the mansion.
They were both quiet for no reason the whole trip, like what was happening?
Are they usually this quiet?
I was so confused about what was happening, but I let them be because I thought they were still not at me for accepting Hendrick again.
I didn't imagine what I would see when we arrived at the mansion.
At the front gate, there were decorations, and my name on it was said, "Welcome back, lady belle!"
I almost teared up when I saw the people K left behind, waiting for me with a smile on their faces.
Suddenly I didn't want to get out of the carriage because I was scared to face them.
"Let's go, my lady. Everyone is waiting for you."
May helped me to get out of the carriage. I was hesitant at first, but Arkanghel joined her in carrying me outside.
I couldn't walk straight because I was so happy and guilty at the same time.
Everyone was lined up, facing me, and they gave me a warm smiles. There were familiar faces, and there were not.
When I stopped in front of the main gate, they all shouted.
"WELCOME BACK, COUNTESS!"
I couldn't help but shed a tear because of the warmth that they were sending me.
They all look genuinely happy while saying those words. It's like they're thrilled to see me...
"Goodness..."
I can't find my words...
I want to say many words, but I can't find them right now...
"Let's go, countess..."
May helped me to walk toward everyone.
I almost collapsed when I reached everyone because they all warmly gave me.
"I missed you guys..."
That's right...This is my home...
