I was wondering where they were when I saw Benedict roaming the place.
I called for him and asked him,
"Benedict, have you seen May, Arkanghel, or the guest I took last time?"
Benedict nodded his head.
"Where are they?"
"They're on the training ground, my lady. Should I accompany you there?"
"No, I can do it. All right, thank you. You may go now."
Benedict bowed to me before leaving. I change the direction of where I am going since the training ground isn't in this direction. Where is the training ground again?
I forgot about it for a moment, and I remembered that it was at the end of this mansion. It is like an annex that is connected to the main mansion.
At first, I didn't know it existed not until Alfonso brought Benedict and the others.
I remember that I was like this before when I couldn't find anyone one day, so I kept wandering around the mansion to find them.
I know that day where the training ground was when I saw another knight roaming around to get fresh air.
He is the one who told me that there is a training ground in this territory.
I remember that it was also the time when Marie and Trinity would follow me around because they wanted to see the topless knights that were training.
I suddenly feel sad because I treasure our friendship.
If only they had told me everything from the start, that incident wouldn't happen.
I can help them, but they choose to keep it a secret for me.
Come to think of it, what kind of friend would agree to have you kidnapped?
They were also the ones who lured you for the kidnappers to get you. I just realized that that isn't the behavior of a friend…
"So they are just stabbing me in the back since then."
Ha! I even call them my friends. I even want to forgive them because I believed them when they said they were only desperate for the money.
Thankfully, I followed what others told me so I had the chance to properly punish them for their crimes...
That even made it hard for me to trust others again, maybe I should just trust those whom I've known since then...
That is better as I don't want to be betrayed again. I stopped walking. Why do I feel like there's an earthquake?
It is my first time encountering an earthquake here since it is not a common phenomenon.
But now, I can feel an earthquake, but it is not too strong.
Suddenly, I felt like there was something that was dropped on the ground. Everything around me shakes.
What was it? It was like a giant monster came and walked. I remember that it is the same feeling as I felt when I get to fight a monster in the forest.
I look up to the sky, but there aren't any monsters here. I can't see any monster.
Also, this land is protected by Alfonso.
How could a monster appear here? I looked around, and I still couldn't see any monsters, so I decided where the training ground was.
But my jaw dropped when I saw what was happening.
I was wrong when I thought that the shaking on the ground was caused by an earthquake. Because two people were fighting with their powers in front of me.
"My lady, why are you here?"
Arkanghel appeared from nowhere. I looked at him, and I was confused to see him with a lot of dirt all over his body.
"Hey, you roll on a mud? Why do you look like that?"
He didn't answer me. But instead, ask his question again.
"Why are you here, my lady? You shouldn't go here."
"Why? Am I not allowed to go here?"
Why is he asking me that question?
"That is not what I meant, my lady."
"Then what? You know your question is quite weird, and why do May and Hendrick fight?"
I turn back. My games are on the ones who are fighting. It looks intense!
"Why are they even fighting each other?" Arkanghel held my hand.
"Please, let's go this way, my lady," he said, then pulled me towards a corner.
"It is not safe to be there, my lady."
I thank him because he is thinking of my safety.
"Can you tell me now why they are fighting?"
I'm looking at Hendrick and May while asking him.
I couldn't remove my gaze from them because it felt like today we were fighting for their lives.
We are just thankful that there is a barrier that is keeping the people who are not on the training ground safe. If there isn't any barrier here, it would be a lot of a mess because of these intense fights.
"My lady, I also don't know the reason. I came here after I was done with my duty in the village. I tried to stop them, but they still insisted on fighting. They didn't tell me the reason, so I thought it was a personal matter."
I knew it! Where are they fighting because of the past? This is dangerous from the looks of it. Neither would stop from attacking, so I called for their names.
"Stop fighting!"
I shouted, but it seemed like they couldn't hear me.
"Stop fighting!!" I repeated, but still, there was no response to them from them.
They can't hear me! I tried calling for their names again and tried to stop them, but the fight was still intense, and there was an explosion everywhere.
"My lady, your throat will hurt."
Arkanghel tried to stop me from shouting, but how could I stop and think of my throat when May and Hendrick were fighting like this?
If only they were fighting with a wooden sword in their hands, I would not stop them.
But they are using their powers right now, so how could I just sit and watch them?
What if one of them gets seriously injured because of this fight? I didn't mind Arkanghel, and instead, I kept on shouting and calling for their attention. After a few times of trying, May finally met my eyes.
She looked shocked because she had stopped moving.
I supposed she didn't expect me to be here. Thankfully, when she stopped, Hendrick stopped attacking too.
When Hendrick realizes that I am here, his face softened as well as mine. But I just couldn't let this slide.
After that, I gave them a good scolding. I asked them why they did those things, but this is what they said.
"We are just practicing, my lady."
They both said in chorus, and that made me even angrier.
Who are they fooling around? Do they think that I will believe that stupid reason of them? So after I scolded them, I told them that I would punish them because of their behavior.
I did punish them by letting them clean the training ground with just a broom in their hands.
"This is unfair! He is the one who insisted on the fight, so why would I be punished? I just defended myself!"
May shouted, although she was already holding the broom. Hendrick immediately looked at her and said,
"What are you talking about? Wasn't it you who insisted on this fight? I am the one who shouldn't be punished as I just accepted your request!"
"Stop lying!"
"YOU stop lying!"
Ha... I took a broom and struck them with it instead of saying anything.
"Just do what you have to do and stop complaining. Look at the training ground; it is a mess because of both of you!"
They did look around but still kept on giving death trust to each other.
After a few times of complaining day finally cleaned the underground without saying anything.
While I went to my room to pack my belongings, I was getting ready for the trip to the south, so after they cleaned the underground, I told Hendrick that we would depart anytime by now.
I bought a few essential kits to keep me clean on the trip because the journey was quite long.
It would be better if I had it ready now. Since there might be a monster along the way, I should prepare something for my self-defense. Wait, can't we just ask Alfonso to transport- no.
I will never experience that again. I can still feel the dizziness that I felt before when Alfonso did it the first time. How could he do that?
He performed it a few times, and it is his first time doing it with others, if I am right.
How could he just do it like that? I've used myself as his training tool. What if something terrible happened to all of us? He is performing the transportation magic.
He is really insane. I packed some food and snacks that I'd like to bring during the trip.
I think I shouldn't bring more clothes since I have clothes in the south. But should I really come home when I get there?
It didn't cross my mind until now, but maybe it is the right time to go home. It's been a long time since I left the mansion, and I missed it. So maybe I will visit the mansion and the things that I will do.
After that, I will decide when I get there.
Then if I planned on going back to the mansion, I should let May and Arkanghel come with me, right? I continued packing my things until Arkanghel came and told me that we would have a snack in the garden.
"How are those two?"
I was referring to May and Hendrick. Arkanghel shrugged his shoulder. The last time I came to the training ground, they were cleaning. So I think they're still cleaning until now since they're still not here.
"It took them some time to finish cleaning." Arkanghel nodded his head.
"I think they're just fighting with each other that is why it took them this long, and they're still not finished with it,"
I said. Arkanghel nodded his head. We went to the garden and saw a table with lots of snacks. I smelled it and asked,
"Did you request all of this?"
I ask Arkanghel because it's like we have a feast for these many snacks right here.
It was the first time I had this many snacks on the table. Arkanghel helped me to sit.
"I didn't request all of this, my lady."
He didn't? But why are there a lot of snacks here?
"Then who brought these here?"
Arkanghel sat on the chair across mine and tilted his head.
"I think this was all from the ones who kept on giving me snacks every day."
"Oh, so this was from your admirers."
"They're not my admirers, my lady."
Arkanghel's eyebrows met. I laughed because of his reaction. He looks mad about it.
"I was just joking, you know? But thanks to them, we get a lot of food, right?" He nodded.
"Thank goodness."
While we were eating, his face and mood lit up. We talked about random stuff.
But most of it was about how they lived in the mansion in the south while I was gone.
"You know what, my lady, there's this gossip who spread before."
I turn my gaze on him and ask what it is.
"It is about a girl who is just using Hendrick to gain popularity in the social circle."
What?
"Is there gossip like that?"
He nodded his head.
"-and I think it is true since that girl they're talking about was enslaved before. But then she climbed up to the high society fast."
"Tell me more about it."
"According to my research, because she is backed up by Hendrick, she was able to do all of it."
I was speechless.
If there is a girl who was an enslaved person with Hendrick's backup, there is only one person who comes to my mind, and that person is the exact reason I am here right now...
