Chapter 63 Prince?
BELLE'S P.O.V.
"What are you doing?"
I shouted as I tried to keep my hair off of her hand.
But I couldn't do better because she is unexpectedly more vigorous.
"Stop pulling my hair!"
She is pulling it so hard that my scalp is starting to eat already.
Everyone around me joined me in shouting while the others stopped Georgia from pulling my hair.
"Hendrick is mine alone! He didn't deserve you! I am the one for him! I am the only one who can make him happy the most!"
She continued to drag my hair, and it became worse when people started to stop her as if it only made her stronger even more.
Ouch! I feel like my scalp is already bleeding!
I tried my best to grab her hand, and I succeeded, but the force she was applying while pulling my hair only decreased slightly.
We were surrounded by many people who were trying to stop her. A few minutes later, her hand was instantly removed from my hair.
"Ah!"
I collapsed on the floor because my feet ached from all the pressure I put into them to stop myself from being swayed by Georgia's strength.
I put pressure on my hair to stop it from taking more, but everyone around us fell silent.
What happened? I lifted my head and tried to know what was happening.
My eyes widened when I saw what made the people shut up.
Right in front of me, a man is standing holding Georgia's hand, lifting it in the air.
Georgia is looking at him with their mouth open.
Why is he here?
He is not paying attention to everyone other than me.
He is looking directly into my eyes while holding Georgia's hand.
"Hendrick..."
Georgia tried to call him.
But instead of leaving her a response, Hendrick let go of her hand and attended to me.
"My lady, are you all right?"
He tried to help me to stand up.
When I could finally put strength on my knees, he pulled a chair and let me sit on it.
"Just a moment, my lady."
Hendrick stood up. But this time, he faced her.
Georgia's face became pale.
"H-Hendrick...why are you here?" she asked.
But he didn't respond, so Georgia asked him again.
"What are you doing here?"
On Georgia's face, there was a slight smile on her lips.
However, she looked troubled. But she still managed to give Hendrik a smile.
We all waited for Hendrick's response, but Georgia didn't get any.
In Hendrick's eyes, I can see that he is mad.
Later on, Hendrick asked for someone to assist me in going back to the mansion.
"Can you please attend to the countess for now?
When I saw who he was talking to, I felt relieved that it was one of his friends who accompanied him when he stayed at the mansion I'more. If I'm not mistaken, his name is Bora.
"I will. Let's go, my lady."
Although I didn't want to go, Hendrick gave me a nod and said, "Please go with Bora, my lady."
I can't argue with him anymore because my hair is still hurting, and my scalp.
"Take care," I mouthed before accompanying Bora to the carriage.
I don't know what he will do inside but let's just hope that it will not harm him or bring him any trouble in the future.
I am pretty scared that Georgia will lie to him and say something that Hendrick might have misunderstood.
"Don't worry about him, my lady. He will just do fine inside."
Bora reassured me, but I still couldn't let go of my worries.
We went straight to the carriage, and they brought me back to the mansion.
"What happened to you, my lady?"
May is the one who will come to me as soon as I enter the main gate.
"Why are you here?"
This place is quite far from the main building, and it is already night. Why is she here? Is she waiting for me?
I was just taking a walk when I heard a carriage coming.
Ah…
"Get inside the carriage," I told her, and she did.
The carriage sent us off to the main building.
"Thank you, Bora, for taking me home."
It is my pleasure to count.
Bora had left already, and now I was about to get a scolding from May.
I am looking in the front gate's direction, but I can feel May's glare.
"Aren't you going to tell me what happened?"
I pouted. Here it is.
"Well, something came up."
She raised her eyebrows.
"Tell me what happened, my lady."
Every word coming from her mouth was serious, and she looked like I couldn't lie to her this time.
"But can we at least go to my room and get changed?"
She looked at me from head to toe, and when she realized that I looked like a mess, she agreed to accompany me to the room.
We went there using the back door because, for sure, others would make a scene if they saw me like this. So it is better to keep the mansion quiet.
May helped me change.
Although she isn't saying anything, I can feel that she will not let this night pass without me telling her everything.
So the moment I finished getting changed, I talked to her instantly.
I explained to her what had happened, all of it. I didn't leave any details so I can ask for advice later on.
May is quietly listening to all that I have said.
I am pretty nervous because I know that she will scold me, not to mention that she has already warned me before.
I still insist on going alone, and then that incident happens.
It is my fault that something like that happened to me, wherever you look at it.
I even provoked Georgia. But I can't just help myself because she is so rude to me and I didn't do anything wrong to her!
She even mentioned Hendrick, which made my blood boil even more.
If she really likes Hendrick, I can't do anything about it.
But why does she even have to say something like that in my face?
It's like the roles have changed in the comic.
I was the notorious villain.
I was obsessed with Hendrick. I even do bad things to Georgia.
But then, from what happened, Georgia became the one who is obsessed with Hendrick that she also does terrible things to others because of her jealousy.
Who would have thought she would hurt someone just because she loves someone?
"So what do you plan to do now, my lady?"
"What do you mean?" I asked May.
"Now that you know that it is all that girl's fault why you and Hendrick had a misunderstanding, what will you do?"
O.I., she is talking about that...
"Honestly, I haven't thought of it yet, and I am still not sure whether I should talk about it with Hendrick since I haven't got the chance to talk to him because he sent me home as soon as I was able to stand up. So maybe, I will decide when the two of us have had the chance to talk already."
May is just looking at me.
There's no emotion on her face.
"Alright, my lady. It's up to you, anyways. But always remember that all I want is your happiness and safety."
"Yes, I know."
I hugged May, and she hugged me back.
It is so heartwarming to hear those words coming from her.
She became my family when I got here, and now that I have some serious decisions that I should make, she is still here, helping and guiding me.
She is not even forcing me to do the things that she wants. Instead, she is letting me decide on my own so that I can learn from my mistakes.
I didn't experience all these in my past life.
I will consider all her words because I know that all she wants is my happiness.
I am confident that she is the last person who will betray me. That is how much I trust her.
We talked until the other maids came to tell me that the dinner was served.
May and the others have already eaten because it's already almost midnight.
But I need to eat because I haven't eaten anything since I meet Georgia. So May ask the others to prepare food.
Although I told her that we should prepare it ourselves, she just scolded me telling me that I was tired, so I should just rest and let the work on the maids.
It is pretty funny that she was now saying those words when we used to cook our own food before.
"Aren't you going to eat?" I asked her because she was just staring at me while eating.
"I am full, my lady."
I continued eating until Arkanghel came and asked about what had happened.
I explained everything to him.
Although it took me a while because I was eating, he still listened quietly and eagerly.
"Should I kill her, my lady?"
"Wait, what?"
"Georgia, I mean. Do you want me to kill her?"
My jaw dropped at what he said.
"Why would you kill her?"
"Because she hurt you, my lady."
Is that his only reason?
"You don't have to kill her. Besides, I don't want you to kill anyone," I said.
Arkanghel looks sad.
Why is he said?
Don't tell me. Is it because I didn't let him kill Georgia?
I got goosebumps because I knew he could kill Georgia anytime he wanted.
So I just finished the food hurriedly so we could all call it a day.
When I was done eating, I told them that I would rest in my room.
"Have a good rest, my lady," they both said.
I thank them and walk toward my room.
I lay on the bed and thought of what happened in the cafe after leaving.
There's still no news about Hendrick, so I still don't know the events there.
What if they really love each other?
What if they went far away from this place to live happily together?
What am I saying?
Why would I even think about it?
I know it's not true, so I should wait for Hedrick to tell me everything tomorrow.
I hope it tells me everything.
"HE'S HERE, MY LADY."
Early in the morning, one of the maids came to me and told me that Hendrick was here and he was looking for me.
I am surprised that it is not Arkanghel or May who called for me.
I wonder where they are right now.
I walked over to where Hendrick was waiting.
The guard told me that he was in the garden, so I went there and saw him looking at the flowers.
He isn't giving the aura that he had last night.
I hope he tells me everything now.
I walked slowly in his direction, and a few meters away from him, he turned his gaze on me.
His gaze landed directly on my eyes.
I am really wondering how he can do that...
It's like he calculated everything before he even looked into it.
Is it because he is a mercenary? Then all the mesentery has that ability?
Amazing.
Hendrick stood up and lowered his head.
"I greet the countess."
"How are you?" I asked him.
My people gave me a chair and helped me sit on it.
Then I sat on the chair across from mine.
"How was everything last night?" I directly asked him.
He doesn't look tired or mad. That is why I asked him that question.
"I settled everything with my lady."
"Really?"
Hendrick nodded his head.
"How did you settle everything?"
I wonder how he managed to settle everything when he is not the person who would waste his time on something like that.
Even before, he wasn't the type of person who would waste his time on something trivial. He only stepped in when it was perilous or when it came to missions.
"Before that, I have something to tell you, my lady."
His face hardened.
What is he going to tell me? Why does he look like he will tell me essential news that would make me sad?
He is now making the face of someone who will tell the other person that he lies.
Don't tell me he and Georgia are really together, and he is fooling me all this time?
Don't tell me who's going to say that?
I waited to speak, but I can't deny that I was nervous.
I am not ready when he says that he doesn't love me and that his heart already belongs to Georgia.
Hendrick looked nervous all of a sudden. Why is he acting like this?
It is also making me nervous!
My hand has started to sweat because of the nervousness I feel.
Like whatever he would say is a bomb to me.
I need to inhale a lot of air to stop myself from collapsing in this place.
He didn't say anything that made me even more nervous.
I waited patiently until he spoke.
"I am sorry that I didn't tell you earlier, my lady."
He paused.
"I am sorry that I kept this a secret from you..."
he continued.
Hendrick! just say it!
"I am sorry-"
"What is it?"
I couldn't stand what is doing, so I interrupted him.
Hendrick took a deep breath.
I watch him as he opens and closes his mouth.
I feel like I can also say his sweat from where I am, and that is how focused I am towards him.
He let out another heavy sigh.
