Chapter 103 She was Kidnapped

♫ Lemon ♫
I don’t know how our drinking session ended. All I know is that they didn’t ask about me and Drew again.
It was past two in the morning when they left. I was a bit drunk that I didn’t even get to my room and I fell asleep on the couch.
I woke up past eleven in the morning. When I checked my phone, I already got messages from my bandmates and Yvo as well.
Partner: I’m home, good night!
Cuz Kip: Make sure ur door's locked b4 going to bed.
Homme: Good night Lem. Don’t forget to pray.
Roj: Don’t think about anything else and just rest.
Kuya Yvo: Make sure you show up later!
I laughed when I read Yvo’s message. This is some sort of reminder that we’re going out for dinner tonight.
I personally won't call it a date. Kevz just has a different description about things, but for me, it's far from being a date.
Yvo’s probably just looking for someone to talk to, he’s obviously going thru something. And since Nico’s not around, he probably thought I can fill her spot.
I stood up when my stomach grumbled. I went to the kitchen and check the fridge if there is anything I can munch on.
As soon as I’m full, I went back to the couch to sleep some more. But then I woke up to my phone’s nonstop ringing.
I looked at my wall clock before checking my phone and was surprised to see that it was already past three.
+63939*******: Lemon can we meet earlier? Around five maybe? I can’t wait for dinner.
+63939*******: Sorry I'm using a different #. My phone’s battery died and I forgot to charge it. I’m here at a café but they don’t have a spare.
+63939*******: Send me a message if you’re good with five. I'll meet you right in front of Costas.
I quickly responded to Yvo’s message. I didn’t bother calling him as he might have borrowed someone else’s phone.
+63939*******: I'm fine with 5 PM. See you!
I stood up from the couch and went to my room. I finished preparing around four in the afternoon and without wasting another minute, I went down to the convenience store right across the street.
I was drinking coffee while browsing Facebook and it was a delight to see Rawbin with his family and another girl that looks like his girlfriend. The same goes for Kale and Kellen’s pictures.
While doing so, I accidentally saw the time and it was already fifteen past five in the afternoon. Yet I haven’t gotten any message from Yvo.
I decided to step out of the store, checking both sides of the street to see if he was parked somewhere. Unfortunately, he’s still nowhere to be seen.
I took out my phone again but a car stopped right in front of me. a familiar face greeted me but I can’t recall the guy’s name. I can remember seeing him with Yvo and the other varsities.
“Hi, Lemon right?” he greeted after rolling down his car’s window and I nodded. “Yvo’s car broke in the middle of the road so he asked me to pick you up. He asked me to take you to your meeting place.”
“Ah really? Thanks then!” I smiled and was about to open the passenger seat when he motioned for the back seat.
“Sorry, we’re picking up my girlfriend too,” he said before smiling awkwardly.
The door to the backseat opened and a girl smiling widely showed up. “Hi, I'm Jessie!”
“Lemon,” I replied, smiling back.
When I got in, the guy started the car and drove toward SMU. I was a bit confused because the restaurant where I’m supposed to meet Yvo is on the other street. Then I recalled. We still have to pick up his girlfriend.
Thirty minutes passed and we were still on the road. I still can’t see the girlfriend he mentioned earlier. When I looked outside the window, the place doesn’t look familiar anymore.
We’re in a subdivision but most are still vacant lots. A bit scared, I was about to ask them where we’re going when I noticed that they were both wearing gas masks. After a while, white smoke came out of the vent that was facing me.
“What's going on?!” I yelled but no one answered. My throat starts to hurt and I start to have difficulty breathing until my vision becomes blurred.
When I opened my eyes and look around me, the house doesn’t look familiar. All furniture was covered with a white cloth.
Still looking around, I can’t seem to find anyone. I tried moving but I can’t. When I looked behind me, my arms were tied and so were my feet.
‘What the fck? Am I being kidnapped?’
♫ Drew ♫
I looked at the clock, it was already past five in the afternoon and I’m still rolling on my bed. I don’t know what time I woke up but I didn’t get off the bed right away as I was thinking about what could have been Leslie’s answer to Roj’s question last night.
My attention was caught when my phone suddenly rang. “Bro, are you with Leslie?” the person on the other end of the line asked, it was Yvo.
‘They’re supposed to go out now, why is he asking me about her?’
“I don’t, I’m at home. Didn’t you go out?”
“I've been texting her Drew, since four this afternoon. I was gonna ask her to meet me at the restaurant but I’m not getting any response so I went to Costas. But the guard said Lemon already left before five. I tried calling her but her phone’s off,” he explained.
“Where are you now?”
“I’m right in front of your studio. I came here to check if she’s here but they said they haven't seen her yet.”
“Wait for me there,” then I ended the call and jumped off of my bed. I called Kevz to let him know and I’m sure he’ll inform the rest of the guys.
After fifteen minutes, I’m on my way to the studio. When I got there, I saw Yvo pacing back and forth, right outside.
“What is happening?” I asked when I get close to him and I can see the worry on his face when he looked at me.
“I don’t know dude. I’ve been trying to reach her and I’m about to run out of battery too but I still cant’ get in touch.”
I tried calling her too but like Yvo, her phone is off. It’s not something she’d do, especially if she’s going somewhere else. I feel like there’s something wrong and I’m beginning to worry.
I invited Yvo in and the rest of the guys arrived even before we can enter the studio. “It’s Nica,” Kevz stated as soon as they get in.
“Remember what she said? One of you will get hurt,” Roj added.
“Nica? What about her?” Yvo asked from behind me then they started telling him what happened.
“I hope not,” Yvo muttered after hearing everything. He stood up and leaned on the doorframe with his attention focused on his phone. “Hello bro? Can you check on Nica or whoever she's close with? Find out what they’re up to right now. See if something is going on with them.” I’m not sure who exactly he’s talking to but I’m sure it’s one of the members of their fraternity. “Really? Can you try to find out what happened?” then he ended the call and faced us. “One of our members said she was at the frathouse earlier. They were drinking around lunch then she messed up the place. Until now they’re cleaning up everything she broke.”
“Did he say where she went?” Roj asked.
“He said she left with Jessie and Ron but they don’t know where they’re going.”
“I’m scared that she’d do what she said last night,” Homme butted in.
“Roj, can you call your Uncle?” Kip told him and he nodded immediately.
“That's actually a good idea,” and we all turned to Yvo. “Whatever she said last night, she can really do it. That girl’s crazy!” he stated as he wipe his face with a hand.
I’m confused about everything that’s happening. ‘Where is she right now?’ This is all my fault and I won’t be able to forgive myself if something happens to her.
