The sages looked at the destruction caused by the attack and shivered with fright . They knew that they could not even survive at all in front of such power . The lingering aura that contained laws can still kill them a thousand times over . "What a terrifying being ". the wind sage exclaimed with his eyes wide open . The sky sage clenched his fist and said "I must pursue this height of strength ". 
 The sky sage was the strongest of the sages because of his natural talent and his desire to keep improving himself and now he had discovered a higher path , he intended to overcome his limits and pursue higher power. The soldiers on the wall were so shocked that they have not recovered from the aftermath of that attack . In their minds , the sages were supreme but now their world overview were being turned upside down . 
 "Chief guard , you need to check and organize the city to avoid commotion ". the wind sage instructed one of the officials that was in charge of the guards . "Yes sage ". the chief guard answered as he left with some guards to calm down the whole city because anytime the beasts attack , chaos and panic will be prevalent in the city . The sages looked at the sky as they prayed silently for that being to return safely because he was their only hope of leaving this world that was already on the verge of destruction . 
  The strength of the devourer in my front should be on par with a third or fourth tribulation demigod . If my main body was here , that will not be a problem but this clone can only excert the prowess of an early stage demigod realm and it will not be enough to fight against this terrifying being . 
 "Human". a coarse voice sounded from Mass of destructive aura . "It's been long since I saw a human this strong". the voice continued talking "The last one , ......oh what is his name again ?, the human king or something like that. unfortunately, he dared to rebel against us ". Terrifying aura radiated in the void as space cracks occurred in the vast void . 
 "Devouring race ". I said with a cold expression . " Oh , you have knowledge about my noble race ". the voice said with suprise . "You are just a mere devouring slave ". I said with disdain . Boooom !!!!. the pressure increased drastically as I could not help but take a step back . "Lowly human , you can not be compared to my noble race at all, Even the lowest bloodline can still slap you to death ". the voice said with immense pride and arrogance . 
  "The lowest bloodline is still more noble than a human ant ". I smiled and said to him "I am proud to be a human and not an ugly monster with not form ". The voice sneered and said "One day , the whole universe will be at the feet of my noble race ". the voice was filled with confidence as if he did not place the powerhouses of this universe in his eyes at all . "Human , submit to me and I will grant you Eternal life ".  
 I shook my head as I said mockingly "Even the supreme emperors are not capable of granting a being eternal life much less of a mere tribulation demigod ". My voice was tinged with sacarsm and disdain because I knew how laughable his promise was . "Human , you knowledge about emperors in this lowly dimension that is void of gods so you must be from the higher dimension ". 
 The voice sounded suprised because he did not expect someone from a low dimension to have knowledge of supreme emperors "Where I am from does not matter". I said impassively . "Then become my nutrients ". the voice said coldly . Boooom !!!!. the surrounding void stagnated as a terrifying claw that was laced with devouring laws descended above my head. 
 Boooom!!!. my aura exploded as sword law , destruction law and time law emerged in the surrounding void as I resisted . "Space barrier ". countless of space folds appeared in front of the attack as it formed countless of barriers preventing the attack from descending . Booom!!!. the claw continued ripping apart the barriers as it continued descending . The difference in law comprehension was evident as that devourer seemed to have reached 4% in devouring law. 
 The clash of demigod beings were based on law comprehension and anyone with inferior law comprehension will instantly lose. Boooom!!!. "ninth heaven ". a terrifying sword qi that spanned thousands of meters slashed at the claw . Boooom!!!!. the surrounding space shattered as spacetime seemed to stagnate as the attacks collided .The devouring law far surpassed my laws as the attack only shook the claw for a moment before it continued to descend . 
  I noticed that the claw has become dim as if it was affected by the attack . I narrowed my eyes Because I sensed that something was amiss . The Devourer was not using his full battle power as he seemed to be restricted by something . "Time domain ". the surrounding void seemed to pause for a moment as I roared "space collapse". Boooom!!!. the space surrounding the claw shattered forming a black hole as it tried to devour the claw . 
 The aura of the beast increased again as a voice sounded "Mindless struggle ". the claw enlarged again spanning thousands of meters as it ripped apart space and continued to descend on my head like a dangerous ripper . My heart became heavy as the opponent was far stronger than me and my laws were inferior to the other party . Boooom!!!. a diagram emerged around me in the void as time , space and destruction laws formed a taichi symbol as it rotated around me emitting terrifying might . 
 The diagram consumed alot of my energy points as I wanted a board which I will use and forcefully fuse laws without suffering a backlash . Even now , I could barely maintain the law fusion for sometime before it collapses . "Law fusion , how is that possible?". The Devourer became a bit frightened by the fusion of laws that can only be done by sovereign lords and above yet it was done by a demigod brat at the early stage . 
 He even became more determined to kill me ."Chaos origin fist ". Boooom!!!. a terrifying apparition of a gaint clad in dark armour appeared behind me as the surrounding void shattered at the immense power of the gaint . Boooom !!!. the gaint punched out with incredible might as a massive fist projection smashed against the claw . Boooom!!!. loud explosions occurred in the void as the surrounding space shattered . Booom !!!. my figure shook as I was sent flying back .
  My body became dimmer as I have exhausted a huge amount of of my clone's energy to execute that attack but I have successfully stopped that terrifying claw . "Oh , you are just a clone ". the voice was depressed because he did not notice that he was fighting with a clone all this while . He withdrew his aura as he was not interested in the fight again . "You should stop devouring this world". I ordered the devourer . 
 "You are not worthy enough to command me , perhaps I could have taken you a bit serious if your main body was here but your clone.....is just an ant !". The voice said nonchalantly as the devouring power increased once again in the void . "If I am not wrong , you have encountered a problem while devouring this world ". I looked at him with mockery . "You can not even devour a low grade world ". I continued to mock him. 
 "So what!, in the end this world will be devoured completely by me and my strength will increase to another level , human brat pray that you don't cross my path again ". the voice sneered as he had absolute confidence in himself . I looked at the devouring aura that was like a big cluster of star coldly "We will meet again and our next meeting will not be a pleasant encounter for you ". I threatened . 
 "I will be waiting ". the voice sounded less concerned about my threat because he believed that my main body will at most be on par with the present him . My figure vanished into the void as I returned to the sage world again . I rushed to the sage city because I was running out of time . "What a stubborn world core that have given me trouble all these years , I hate devouring sentinent cores because of their immense resistance ". the devourer lamented helplessly as he continued to devour the world core . 
 "I will be done in less than a year , by then this world will have no reason to exist again ". an arrogant voice sounded in the void as everything became calm again . 
  I reached the safe city as I appeared in front of the sky sage who was meditating . He opened his eyes quickly as he hurriedly stood up "Your Excellency, you are back ". visible excitement appeared on his face . I nodded and said "How long was I away?". I asked him because no concept of time existed in the void . "It was three weeks , senior ". I did not expect it to reach that long but it was still within my expectations . 
 "I am going to form a protective barrier around the city and it will last for three months and before then , the martial palace shall descend on this world and also take good care of these people for me ". I sent him the mental image of Linda and her brothers . "Yes senior ". the sky sage bowed . 
 I nodded as I vanished and appeared above the city . boooom!!!. I made the space around the city independent like an inner space that can not be attacked at all , totally independent from the main world . My figure became more illusionary as I tore space and hurried to the origin world .
