Kareem's POV
"Kareem I'm sorry, I didn't mean for all this to happen " Safeenah beg as soon as she was treated finished by the doctor
I said nothing nor do I replied her,my mind just keep flashing back to what Maryam said earlier
"do you think I did this? Do you?! Yes Kareem! I might be angry,nervous,scared of loosing you to someone else but to try to hurt her? Do you think I'll really do it? Is this how far your trust in me goes?" 
"Fine! If that's what you want to believe then so be it,I won't beg you Kareem nor her. You two can go to hell for all I care!"
That look! Shit! What have I done again? I should have known Maryam, she wouldn't do something as drastic as that. I should have known the look if she's saying the truth....but Safeenah can't lie to me too can she?
"Kareem?" She called out my name
"Did you lie to me?" I asked the same question that was running on my head
"What?......No! I....I can't lie to you... She...she did this to me" she said crying 
"It OK Safeenah, let just go home " I said and she nod in agreement
We were in my car driving home. Everything was just so quiet when she decide to talk
"Kareem can we be together again? " she suddenly said 
"Is there anything I can do to have you back?"
What? 
Be together with her?
"Look Safeenah, I know it can't be easy for you but I'm sorry I love only one woman now and that's Maryam. I can't hurt her and I will never do"
"But you already did Kareem" my subconscious said
"And what about what we shared in the past?" She asked
"Safeenah I'm sorry OK? I'm really sorry,I don't have a choice, you left, I mean I thought you were dead,I was devastated, I was no more the Kareem I used to be. As much as you played a role in my life Maryam also played a major role in my life too,she went through a lot just because of me. I'm sorry I can't leave her coz I love her so much"
"I won't mind Kareem,I can be your second wife. In as far as I'm very close to you,I'll be happy" 
"Safeenah what are you saying? That's not possible! I love my wife and I can't cheat her!"
"I wasn't asking you to cheat,I asked you to take me as your second wife!"
"No! It won't ever happen! End of discussion!"
She sighed first before she finally agrees

"Good night Kareem " she said 
"Yeah and you too...good night" I said and walk to my room
Just as I placed my hand on the door knob, my heart skipped a bit
I entered slowly believing that she would have been a sleep by now
I entered the room and saw her lying on the bed. I sighed,normally for the past two weeks we do sleep together at same time,I can't sleep without her beside me and she also can't sleep without me beside her and now? Ever since Safeenah showed up, she has been acting strange,I just want her to see the truth in me that I love only her alone
I know I shouldn't have said those words earlier but I'm just angry. I got angry because of what I saw but that doesn't change the fact that I'm stupid! Yes Kareem you're stupid for not believing your wife! So stupid of me,right now I'm just even confused,I don't know who is lying and saying the truth between the two ladies
I move closer to her,I bend and kissed her forehead. I rub my hand on her soft hair as she suddenly opened her eyes
Her eyes are very red,one could tell that she have been crying
"Mar-"
she stood up and sit  "Kareem please forgive me,I swear I didn't do it,she....she came,I was trying to cook you your favourite and she came insulting me,I tried my best not to get angry coz I don't want you to be mad at me again, walahi I didn't do it,she did it herself, you know I can't hurt her,I can't... Please forgive me Kareem...just for you if you want me to kneel and beg her, I'll do it just don't leave me,I'll die if-"
I didn't let her finish as I kissed her passionately. After some minute we both pull apart to get some air. I wipe her tears away with my two hands
I looked straight into her eyes "Don't you dare utter the word death in front of me again,Insha Allah non of us will die now. You're my wife and I'm your husband! Maryam do you believe me?"
"Ka-"
"Answer me do you?"
"Yes Kareem I believe you but it seems you don't believe me, I swear I didn't to that to her"
"I believe you Maryam, I do...forgive me for saying those hurtful words to you earlier and now I'm making you a promise today no matter what happens I'll always believe you,even if the world did not, I Kareem Abdulazeez will always do"
"Really? " she asked with a bright smile plastered on her face
"Yes beautiful " I said
"You know I missed you calling me that " she said with sad tone
"I'm sorry" 
"It's fine"
For some seconds she didn't say anything, she seems thinking of something
I shook her before she blink her eyes "you say what?"
"What were you thinking? " 
"Me? Nothing" I didn't seem convince coz of the way her eyes were twinkling from right to left
"Are you sure? Do you want to tell me anything?"
"Yes!! I mean No"
"You sure?"
Yes" she said smiling
I decide not to push through with the question again,I know she's not telling me something but I'll wait till she tells me. Instead I decide to change the topic
"I...I bought you something"
"What's that?!"
"Close your eyes" I told her and she did
I bring out the necklace I bought for her and put it on her neck
"Now you can open your eyes"
She stood up and ran to stand in front of the mirror "wow!" 
"You like it?" I asked still sitting down on the bed admiring her beauty. The necklace real fit her a lot
"What do you mean by do I like it? I love it! Thank you!" She exclaim and immediately come to me to hug me
Non of us talk as we sat silent listen to our heart beat. Some minute later we pulled apart
"Kareem please, I don't want to loose you. You know I love you right? I...I can't imagine you with-"
"Shhhsh....I love you too Maryam. Please all I need is for you to trust me,if you don't, we will continue to have fight always ..... please"
"I promise you Kareem, I trust you no matter what anyone says"
"And I'm promising you too my Queen that I'll always trust you no matter what happens"
"Thank you Kareem" she said
"For what?" I asked with puzzle face
"For making me your wife,I'm very lucky"
"I'm the one who is lucky, not you"
"Kareem?"
"Yes?"
"Have...have you talk to Mom?" She asked not looking at me. One thing I learn about her is that if she's afraid, she either play with her fingers or she keep looking down twinkling her face around
And talking about my Mom, I don't know what to say,I can't believe my own mom did something like that to me. Yes I know it because of her I have Maryam beside me now but still I once loved safeenah and she never considered my own happiness. But all the same she's still my mother
"Sorry I didn't mean to-"
"You're right,I have to talk to her may be tomorrow insha Allah"
"Really?" She ask with bright face,the happiness was shown already on her face
"Yes beautiful"
"Thank you! thank you!! thank you so much,I'm just so happy! " she said happily but all of a sudden the smile went away from her face replace with confusion
"What is wrong?"
"Kareem I know I was not suppose to say this but do you believe I did that to her?"
What? Why would she ask me this question? It very hard for me to answer her. I trust both of them,stupid if you do then why did you believe what you saw few hours ago? 
"Kareem?"
"Maryam please let not talk about it,I'm here with you now right? So why bringing up past issues? Let be happy and from now on just as we've promised each other, we will always trust each other no matter what happens"
"Promise?"
"Promise my queen"
"I love you my hero"
"And I love you more than you can ever imagine.............Lemme change into something comfortable"
"Sure..."
"Sure? " I asked teasing. Actually I was expecting something else from her
"Yeah sure....what were you expecting me to say?" She asked confused and I smirk
"I thought... You will... You know... Since it been a while why don't we just-"
"KAREEM!!! " she yell my name before her face turned red,she's really blushing
"Don't worry baby, I won't stress you tonight but next time I won't easily back off" I wink and walk to my closet leaving my wife looking at me with flushed face
