Chapter 16 XVI
THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE 🍂 16
But this fictional world came to a halt when the author encountered writer's block, halting the story. So, the fictional world sends Zevadiah Braun Rizal to confront the writer of his story, where his world stops spinning due to the creator. Alongside Zylus and Syntho.
Patty, also known as _Patricius, has been grappling with writer's block for almost three weeks now. She has ideas and plots in her head but struggles to put them on paper or even type it on her laptop. She's frustrated by her uncooperative hands lately, unable to write her stories. At times, she sits in front of an empty page on her laptop and ends up playing games to avoid the blank screen. She records herself expressing her frustration with writer's block and reminds herself not to be too hard on herself regarding the story's deadline that she set on herself. The temptation to start a new story is strong, but she must finish the current one, which has been ongoing for a month and a half with no end in sight. Feeling upset, she regrets starting other stories without completing the current one. Despite trying to focus, her mind wanders to playing Fortnite, a game she is addicted to. She realizes she's also addicted to roleplaying with AI characters, spending hours on the app instead of writing.
Patty isn't a morning person, and one day her mum wakes her up early, sounding frantic and asking about three handsome men looking for her outside their house. Patty is confused as she hadn't interacted with any men recently since she dislikes men in real life. Men are trash in real life anyway.
She sighs and heads outside, where she meets the three men in uniforms, a grey suit, and a black suit with tattoos on his neck. She has no idea who they are, but the first one in uniform looks familiar to Patty, with white hair and siren sea-green eyes…
"Patricius," her jaw drops because no one knows her pen name in real life that she uses in her stories.
"Don't call me that..." she doesn't want her family to know that she's a writer.
"Damn it woman, what took you so long to continue writing my story, eh?" the man with tattoos asks her with a deadly glare, but she isn't scared at all.
She puts her hands on her waist and looks up at them since they're taller than her. "Excuse me? But who the heck are you people."
"I'm Zevadiah Braun Rizal."
“My name is Zylus. I was about to call my new bodyguard, but here I am."
"Syntho. Tch, I haven't met my woman because of you."
She literally stares at them, trying to process in her mind what she heard, and the realization hits her like thunder. "Hell no... you've gotta be kidding me." She covers her mouth because she knows it's impossible, and she thinks she's just dreaming or just insane.
The one with tattoos, Syntho, moves closer to Patty and leans in close. "Oh, darling, look who's here because of you. You shouldn't write my story if you won't even dare to finish it," and he flicks her forehead. "What a twisted writer."
"Hey, don't hurt her, she might kill you in your own story," Zevadiah interrupts and pulls her away from Syntho, who is now smirking like an asshole. That's his characteristics. Why did she even wrote it?
Patty slowly rubs her forehead and glares at Syntho. "I'm gonna kill you, Syntho," she says with a serious tone, but Syntho winks at her.
"Go on, darling. I won't mind as long as I can tease you right now." She wants to smack him but she stop herself. They're not real yet they are in front of her.
"Tch, why did I even write your story in the first place," she shakes her head, regretting why she ended up writing Syntho's story and made him the sadistic character.
"Darling, you like me more than your other male characters," and she made him a tease/annoying character.
She rolls her eyes and looks at Zylus, who is quiet and just staring at them. "The hell are you guys doing in my world? I mean how and why?"
"Can we just get inside your house before you bombard us with questions?" Finally Zylus speaks.
"No way. My mum will kill--Syntho!" her eyes widen when without a doubt Syntho goes inside her house. She follows him, and the two follow behind her.
"You're her mum. Lovely." She gasps when Syntho kisses her mum's back hand. She pulls him away from her mum, who is now shocked with wide eyes.
She pinches his arm and glares at him. "Stop messing around."
He raises an eyebrow at her with a smirk, "I am not."
"Syntho," a warning tone. God, why did they even here early when they should come on the afternoon instead?
"Lovely to meet you, Patty's mum," Zylus says with a smile.
"Pleasure to meet you, Patty's mum," Zevadiah says, and her mum slowly smiles at the two.
"You must be my daughter's friends. You're welcome here.”
"Oh, but we are more than her friends," Syntho's words echo through the house.
"Mum, they're just my friends, and don't believe this guy," she points out Syntho beside her. Who she hates now… I mean her male character that she wrote.
"But darling, we can be more than your friends inside your head and inside the room."
She sighs, trying to calm herself. "Mum, this guy is not sane, so please don't believe anything he says."
"Darling, I'm totally sane."
Her mum looks confused but eventually nods at her daughter. "Anyway, I have a meeting to attend, and if you need anything to eat, there's food on the table. I've gotta go." She watches her mum leave the house and sighs. Now, she must deal with a problem.
"How the heck did you guys get into my world?" she asks them with curious eyes.
"That's a question we don't know how to answer," Zylus crosses his arms over his chest and sits down on the nearby couch.
"My world stops moving for I don't know how long, and then I woke up in a different world too. I miss my Fawn," Zevadiah says, and she suddenly feels guilty for stopping writing his story. What? She's having a writer's block for so long. It's not her fault, it's natural.
Her eyes focus on Zev and Zylus and don't notice that Syntho is gone. "You know I've been dealing with writer's block, and I'm sorry," she looks at them with a genuine apology, even though they're just fictional characters she's written. She love her characters more than anything.
"No, don't apologize to us. But you have to promise that you must finish our story. I don't want my world to halt forever," Zylus's eyes are fixed on her.
"Writer's block is pretty normal, Patty. Sometimes, taking a break from writing or trying some creative exercises can help get those ideas flowing again," Zev smiles at her and pats her shoulder like an old friend.
With a sigh, "I'm having a hard time lately, but I know to myself that I must finish what I started. I promise to wrap up your stories this year," she says, trying to lighten the mood. "But how are you going to go back?" she adds.
"Only I can go back if you continue to write your current story, which is my story," Zev says as he sits on the opposite couch to Zylus.
"What about you, Zylus?" she asks Zylus.
"I think I'm going to stay here until you continue to write my story too. I don't want to go back to my world yet. I mean, time stops and everything halts; I guess I have to stay here with you." eh? That's a big no and another problem for her.
"What?" Why are the men leads here in her real world and not the female leads?
"I don't know anyone in this world except you, the author." he's right but how is she gonna tell her parents about this?
"Zylus..." she's at a loss for words. How is she going to tell her mum about this? "My parents will kill me," she says. Her dad is strict when it comes to boys; that's why she's still single. Plus she always stays in her room, writing.
"They won't. I'm just going to tell them I'm here to ask for your hand in marriage--"
"Wait--hold your horses! Are you nuts?" She's not into marriage–she hates it.
"I'm serious, Patty." yeah she can see that.
"What? But you're not real. You're a fictional character written by me.” and that's a fact but absurd at the same time. I mean her characters written by her is here in real world.
"And I'm here in reality because of you. Deal with it. If you don't want me to stay longer in your world, you'd better wrap up your current work and continue my story."
"It's not that easy, Zylus," she sighs. She truly wishes to finish her current work, but she's struggling.
"I know, doll. That's why I'm staying here with you."
"I'm not your doll. Don't call me that."
"You're okay when Syntho calls you a nickname, but you're against me calling you 'doll'?" Zylus's expression becomes intense as he fixes his gaze on her. Did it upset Zylus?
"Er, it's not like that, Zylus. I hate it too when Syntho calls me 'Darling--'"
"Oh, you hate it?" she almost screams upon hearing his voice behind her. His hot breath touches her neck, so she moves away from him.
"What the hell are you doing?" she stands beside the couch where Zylus is seated and glares at Syntho, who is smirking at her again.
"Am I making you uncomfortable, darling? Oh, and I found your notebook where you listed our details," he raises the notebook he's holding and shows it to her.
"You went through my room?!"
"Yes, I did. You're a clean freak, darling."
"Give me back my notebook," she stalks towards Syntho.
"Syntho, give it back to doll," Zylus even speaks up behind her.
"That's Patty's confidential belonging; you shouldn't go through her things," Zev comments too.
"I already read it, but why does my female lead have so much more trauma than I do?"
She snatches her notebook from his hand, "It's none of your business. You're so annoying."
"Darling, I can be annoying as hell, but I read the part where you love your villain, which is me, more than your other written characters in your former works." maybe she can change Syntho's character, right?
"You know what, Syntho, believe whatever you want. I'm going to write Zevadiah's story and wrap it up. Then Zylus's story and yours, and you'll be gone from my life as if you didn't exist because in the first place, you aren't real. You're pissing me off."
"Let's see about that, darling. Let's see how many months it takes you to finish Zevadiah's and Zylus's stories before mine. And I'll keep annoying and bantering with you because you're fun to mess with."
"Syntho, stop messing around, doll," Zylus stands next to her.
"I know, but it reminds her of someone she misses in her real life, that's why she created me..."
She knew he was right, but she hates Syntho more as he exposes her, "I hate you," she mumbles.
Syntho just grins at her and approaches, "No, you don't."
"Screw you, Syntho."
"I love you too, darling.”
"Okay, guys, stop it already. Enough with the banter, and calm down." Zevadiah walks over to our direction and pulls Syntho away from Patty.
"Are you okay, doll?"
She sighs and looks at Zylus beside her, "I need to continue writing my current work; I can't stand Syntho's presence any longer."
"We'll watch him for you," Zylus assures her with a warm smile and gives her a light hug.
"I'll always be rooting for you, Patty. I know you can do it. We always have faith in your ability to write our worlds with a smile," she smiles at Zev, thankful that there's a normal character who believes in her.
"Good luck, darling," Syntho winks at her before she goes into her room, locks the door, and opens her laptop to access her writing app.
She opens the last chapter of 'A Second Shot at Love,' and with a smile on her face, she continues writing Zevadiah's story.Download Novelah App
