EARTH WITCHES COVEN "I don't think the kids are back yet. Or are they not supposed to come back today?' Anna asked Emerald who is called Emma by the Red-haired witches. Emerald had left the earth witches' coven for a while now to visit Anna in the red-haired witches' coven leaving Ella, Ariana's mother in charge. She had just returned today with Anna because Stella had sent a message to her that the kids will return today. As usual, she had a thing or two to knit and Anna was helping her out. "It is not evening yet, Anna. We can hope they get back before the sunset" Emerald answered. "I really wish to see them before I return to the coven," Anna said. "Stella already told me they will be back today and I am sure they will. You just need to wait a little more and you will meet with them" "Haven't they been gone for about three weeks?" Anna asked counting her fingers. Emerald blinked. "How time flies. I can't believe they are gone for that long" "I can't believe that either" Ella said, walking in. "I miss them so much" she added and sat down beside Anna. "I never knew you knit, Anna" "I do know how to knit but I hate it. It's so tiring" Anna replied, dropping the sock she had just finished knitting. She stretched a bit and groaned slightly. "I think I am tired" Emerald laughed slightly. "Tired to knit or tired to talk?" "Tired to knit of course. Who gets tired to talk?" Anna asked and Ella laughed. "I do get tired to talk sometimes" "But I never get tired of talking" Anna answered. "I guess the twins are your lookalike when it comes to talking," Emerald said and then dropped her knit. "What did you knit, Emerald or should I say, Emma," Ella said and Emerald smiled. "I am kind of used to being called Emma. Emerald sounds strange to me" "But I love the name Emerald," Anna said. "But surprisingly it sounds strange to call you that" "I think calling her Emma for a long time, made Emerald a strange name" Ella answered and they all nodded in agreement. "I almost forget why I am here" "Is there a reason you are here?" Anna asked and Ella nodded. "I thought you came to help Emma knit" "No, actually. I have some papers I want her to go through and also wanted to ask when the kids will be back" Ella said. "I also asked that question but Emma assured me that they should be back before sunset," Anna said. "Where are the papers you want me to go through?" Emerald asked. "I left them I'm the office. Hope you don't mind?" Ella answered. "No, I don't. I will check them out when I am done knitting. Or is it that urgent?" Emerald asked. "No, you can take your time," Ella said and Emerald smiled. "Is there any news about the vampire Queen?" Anna asked. "I am beginning to worry about her" "I don't think there is any news about her yet" Ella replied. "One of my sisters who went there some days ago returned yesterday but said nothing about the Queen's return" "Do you think she is still missing?" Anna asked. "I heard the rift between the demon and vampire realm has ended" "It ended right after the demon king visited the vampire king. I think they settled the difference between them" Emerald answered. "Good thing they did that. I can't imagine the fight between demons and vampires. It might be worst than that of Rose" Anna said. Anna sighed. "Oh, Rose. Almost forgot she ever existed" "Her time on earth was frustrating, you know? How can you forget that so easily?" Ella said. "It's been a while since she died, you know? And we've experienced peace for a while now. I think it is normal to forget about her" Emerald answered. Ella nodded. "The peace we've enjoyed so far is enough to forget about het existence," "If not for the great book, everything will have been fine. I wished that book never shows face" Anna said. "I hope it doesn't too. It is already causing many problems" "The book has been lost for years and there is a need to find it and return it to the place it belongs," Emerald said. Ella sighed. "Then I hope it doesn't fall into the wrong hand before it finally gets to the right hand" "That is the reason the kids need to find it before anyone," Anna said. "And they will do that" Emerald said and everyone nodded. ** A portal opened up in the garden. Jasmine, Jabal, Jamal, Ariana, Kelvin, and Ryan stepped out. They have just arrived in the earth witches' coven. "Oh, finally we are home," Jasmine said. "It's good to breathe in a different air," Kelvin said. "I agree with you on that" Jamal said. "Let's go and greet the elders," Ryan said and they all walked towards the house. "Mother?" Jasmine cooed when she noticed her mother seated with Anna and Ella. "Finally you are all back," Her mother said standing up. Jasmine ran to hug her. "I have missed you so much" "I missed you too, my darling angel. Come over here the rest of you, and hug me". They moved closer to her and one after the other, hug her. "How has your journey been so far?" she asked after they had greeted Ella and Anna and then settled down. "It was awesome" Jasmine answered. "Stella and Rachel told us a lot of things" "Kelvin and Ryan, what was your experience over there?" Ella asked. "It was worth going for" Kelvin spoke up first. He wasn't the type who love to speak much except when it involve Jasmine. Emerald smiled. "You have a smile on your face, I guess you love it" Kelvin nodded. "I guess I did" "And you Ryan?" Anna asked. "It was a great experience" Ryan answered and Anna nodded. "There isn't any need to ask the rest of you about your experience. Or is there any need?" Anna said and they smiled. "How about asking us what our experience in Alaska Arias was?" Jasmine said and they nodded in agreement. Though there might be no need to ask about their experience, since this isn't their first time going to Alaska, they still wish to talk about their experience in Alaska Arias which of course, was their first experience. "Mother, have you been to Alaska Arias?" Jamal asked starting up a conversation. He has come to love Emerald as his mother. Emerald smiled. "Yes, I have been there twice. Did you visit Rachel in Alaska Arias?" He nodded. "Yes" "Then you must have had a greater experience," Emerald said and they nodded. "Did you know houses in Alaska Arias float in the air?" Jabal began. That was his first time speaking since they returned. He seems so happy talking about it. One after the other, they talked about their experiences. They even talked about the tasks they had to carry out to get the key to Alaska Arias. "My task was different," Jamal said. "It was in Alaska Arias" "And he finally found his mate" Jasmine announced. "That is good news," Ella said. "Do you all have your mates now?" Anna asked. "I don't think so. Ryan, you haven't met your mate. Have you?" Emerald asked. "I haven't. But I know I will soon" Ryan answered and Emerald smiled. "I am sure you will. Very soon" "Are you all not hungry yet?" Anna asked. "The children should be," Emerald said. "They look tired too" "Enough of the chat, then," Ella said and stood up. "Follow me. I will some maids to prepare your bath so you can take your bath. I will also ask them to prepare something to eat. Do you have anything you want to it?" "I will love some pasta and chicken," Jasmine said. "I will go with that too. But I want plenty of veggies" Ariana said. "I will go with what Jasmine wants," Kelvin said. "Me too,o," Ryan said. "Did you still sense a love triangle between those three?" Anna asked Emerald in a whisper. "I can still feel it" Emerald replied "Pasta? Do you mean spaghetti? I don't want that. I prepare Macaroni and cheese with a lot of meatballs" Jamal said. "What about you, Jabal" Ella asked. "I will go with what Jamal wants since every other person wants what Jasmine wants," Jabal said and Ella nodded. "Come with me," Ella said and they followed her. ** After spending a few days in the earth witches' coven. Kelvin and Ryan returned to the Munar pack. While the rest remain in the earth witches' coven. Anna had returned to the red-haired witches' coven a day after the children returned. Anderson visited the earth witches' coven. After having a little conversation with Emerald and Ella, he returned to his home with Jamal and Jabal, leaving Jasmine and Ariana in the coven. "What are we going to do now?" Ariana asked after everyone had left. They are seated on two stones that are close to the river, their legs deep into the water. They do not have many things to do and there is no one available to talk to. Emerald and Ella were in the office going through some files, giving them no other option but to room about. Mira, Ariana's friend had gone out on an errand for her mother and might not be returning soon. They had walked for a while talking about random things but when they got tired and decided to seat down. "I don't have anything in mind. Do you?" Jasmine asked. "I don't either. Maybe we should have gone with the boys" Ariana said and Jasmine nodded. When the boys asked them to go with them, they should have agreed and gone with them. "Is this coven always like this? I mean quiet with not many things to do?" "Well, I can't say it is and I can't say it is not" "Did you not spend most of your life here? I mean here in the earth coven" Ariana nodded. "Yes, I did. But funny enough it remains a place I can't understand. It doesn't feel like home anymore" "How about the red-haired witches' coven? Does it feel like home?" Ariana smiled. "It does feel like home. Maybe it's because I feel accepted there than I feel here" "But you are born here" "Yes I am but I guess my new status doesn't suit them" "But I love your red hair" Ariana smiled. "Thanks" "Do you bad not been accepted here?" "At first I did. But now I do not feel bad anymore" "Does your mom know about it?" "I never told her about it but I don't know if she noticed though" "How come you never spoke about it? Not to anyone of us" "There are a lot of things for us to worry about. I can't let things like that get in our way" Jasmine nodded. Ariana is right. Though it feels bad not being accepted where you are been accepted before, they need to focus on getting the great book of the witches and returning it to where it belongs. "I feel sorry for you though," Jasmine said. "I can't say I know how it feels to be treated the way you are treated but I know what it feels like being treated differently" Ariana furrowed her brows. "You do?" Jasmine nodded. "I do. You don't know the pain of being the only girl amidst two boys and being treated as weak" Ariana chuckled. "Do you feel that bad about it?" She nodded. "I feel terrible about it" Ariana sighed. "I guess we feel the same". She sat up and smiled. "Can we stop talking about us? It makes me feel creepy and awkward, you know?" Jasmine nodded in agreement. "I was about to say that too. I am beginning to feel uncomfortable with the atmosphere" "Then what should we talk about?" Jasmine placed her hand into the river and fetched some water. "The water feels nice" Ariana placed her hand inside the water too. "You are right" "The air feels nice too," Ariana said. Jasmine nodded. "Yes, it does feel nice" She smiled. "I can't wait to return to school once more and feel like a normal child. I feel abnormal you know?" Ariana chuckled. "Back to school back to stress" "Back to assignments, presentations, projects, and even exams" "Isn't our final exams coming up in a few weeks?" Jasmine nodded. "Yes, I think five more weeks" "Will we be able to write the exams without having to carry out a task or two?" "I think we should be able to write it for as long as the book doesn't show up" "But we need to talk about the vampire Queen. She's been missing for weeks now" "I almost forget that. Let's talk to the rest when we get to school tomorrow" "Exactly. We need to find her as soon as possible so we can focus on school and hope the book doesn't show up until after our exams" Jasmine nodded. "Yeah". There was silence for a while until Jasmine spoke up. "I feel light now" Ariana nodded. "Me too" Jasmine stood up. "I think we can go now" Ariana stood up and they headed back to the house. ** It was past seven. Jasmine and Ariana were already dressed in their uniform. They were both eager to go back to school after a month of absence. "Do you think our absence will not be noticed just like the last time?" Jasmine asked. "I don't think so and even if it is noticed, it doesn't matter. Or does it?" Ariana answered. "it doesn't. Going back to school and breathing in a different air is what matters" Jasmine said and Ariana nodded. "What are you both still doing in there?" Ella said, popping her head into the room. "You will be late for school if you remind in there" "We will be out soon, mother" Ariana answered. "Breakfast is served. Don't let it get cold" "ok mother," Ariana said. "Ok, ma'am," Jasmine said. "I will leave you both to finish up. By the way, the boys are here already" "Is Jabal here too?" Jasmine asked and Ella smiled. "Yes and even Kelvin too" Ella replied and Jasmine smiled. She had wanted to ask if Kelvin was with Jabal and Jamal since they had all agreed to meet up here. But she decided to ask after Jabal instead because she doesn't want them to feel she misses him or so she thought. After Ella left, they quickly finish dressing up and hurried to join the boys in the living room. "Here comes the early birds," Jabal said in sarcasm and Jasmine scoffed. "The fact that you are here early doesn't mean we are late" "Are you trying to say you are not late?" Jabal asked. "Our breakfast is going to get cold" Ariana who knew there might be a heated fight soon said and Jamal nodded in agreement. "And we won't want to get to school late on our first day back to school," he said. Jasmine decided to ignore Jabal's ranting. She sat down to eat. "By the way, good morning everyone," she said. This time, it was Jabal's time to scoff. "Should it not have been good morning everyone rather than by the way good morning everyone?" Jasmine frowned. It seems Jabal is bent on getting on her nerve this morning. "Can you please ignore him?" Jamal whispered to her and she sighed. Ariana poked Jabal a little when he tried to speak up after waiting for Jasmine's response and not getting one. "That's enough" she whispered to him and he smiled. "You don't want me to tease her. Do you?" he asked and she ignored him. There was silence for a while with everyone focused on their food until Ella walked. "Don't tell me you all are still here?" she said, folding her hands. "Should you not be on your way to school now?" "Mom, we still have about an hour more to go" Ariana answered. "Do you know what the time says?" Jasmine stared at the wall clock and gasped. "Oh my. We really, need to get going" she said, standing up. She picked her bag up while the rest did the same except Kelvin who had no bag to carry. Unlike the rest, he did not carry out any task that kept him out of school for a while. He isn't a high school student like they are either. Jabal groaned. "But I don't feel like going to school" "You don't feel like doing what?" Jasmine asked, furrowing her brows. "Whatever" Jabal muttered, standing up. Jasmine scoffed but said nothing. "Can I walk you guys to school?" Kelvin asked. "Aren't you suppose to be at school too?" Jasmine asked. "You mean the demon university?" he asked. "I can only go to school when I am ready to go back to the demon realm" "How about applying for a transfer?" Jabal asked. "You can go to any human university of your choice," Ariana said. "That way he won't have to miss much," Ryan said. "I think that is a good idea," Jamal said. "Guys, how about you talk about this on your way to school?" Ella said and they chuckled. "I bet she really, wants us out of the house," Jasmine said to Ariana in a whisper. "I heard you, Jasmine. And yes, I want you all out of the house. Now get going" Ella said, gesturing with her hand. Ariana moved closer to her mom and hugged her. "Bye, mom" Ella groaned. "Hey, you should be on your way to school," she said as she tried to push Ariana away. Jasmine joined in the hug and Ella groaned. "Bye, Ella," Jasmine said. "Go, go, go," Ella said and they ran out of the house.
