"Why can't I have my task here, like the test, Stella?"
"You do not have much time left, Jamal. Take your pass and leave" Stella told him and he sighed. Stella won't tell him why his task has been taken to Alaska Arias, unlike the rest who had their task done in their respective waterfall.
But why was his future shown to him, when his task will not be done here?. He had too many unanswered questions. And so many thoughts running through his mind. But he stretched out his hand anyway, to take his pass, wondering why his task has to be in Alaska Aria and not in the waterfall
The pass appeared in his hand and Jamal return to join the rest. He was worried about what his task will be and if he will be able to do it right. The rest noticed the look on his face and they ran to him.
"Are you, ok?" Jasmine asked, worried too. Jamal is her favorite brother and she can't watch him get worried and not worry too.
"You look worried, Jamal. Is there something wrong?" Kelvin asked.
"Did you come across something you do not like?" Jabal asked.
"Was your task too difficult?" Ariana asked.
They were all worried about him and were eager to hear him speak.
"I did not do any task" he answered and everyone widened their eyes in shock.
"You were not given any task?" Jasmine asked.
"Did Stella say why?" Ariana asked and Jamal sighed.
"Stella said that my task is not in the waterfall but Alaska Aria" he answered.
"Alaska Aria?" They cooed in unison. It sounded strange to them, that his task is not in the waterfall, unlike the rest of them who had done one task or the other no matter how hard it was for them.
"And Stella did not tell you why?" Jabal asked.
"No?"
"You choose green right?" Jasmine asked, furrowing her brows. She seems to have gotten some hint on what had happened. Jamal nodded.
"Yes?"
"Can you tell me why you choose green or what you saw?" Jasmine asked and every other person stared at Jamal. He shrugged.
"I did not see anything in the green waterfall I chose. I had no special reason either. Except for the fact that I thought green stood for peace and fertility of the world," he replied.
"I think I am beginning to understand what is going on," Jasmine said and everyone faced her.
"What is going on?" Ariana asked.
"I chose yellow because my instinct told me so. But I ended up getting tormented by demons and also losing control of myself. My instinct is not the one who spoke to me. The demons did. I was supposed to be able to differentiate the demons from my instinct. I was being controlled by them, right before I entered the waterfall. And my task was to learn how to control them" she said.
"Then why do I have no task?" Jamal asked.
"Because you thought it mean peace for the world and fertility. Were you shown anything while you were in the waterfall?"
"Yes. My future"
"Was it a peaceful one?"
Jamal nodded. "Yes"
"That is it. The first part of your task was to see how peaceful the world will be, which is a result of your thinking that green means peace. I think your main task, will have to do with fertility. I can't say what your task will be but I can give you a hint"
"Please do"
"I think you will have to choose between the peace of the world which you have seen and someone or a thing that will be productive to you. I just hope you don't make the wrong choice"
Jamal sighed. If Jasmine is right about what she said, then he might not have to worry much since he had little knowledge of what might happen.
Jasmine turned to face Ariana. "Ariana, you chose red right? Why did you choose it?"
"I chose red because it is the same as Jabal's hair and mine" Ariana answered.
"And what was your task?"
"My task was to choose to be with Jabal and help him or become the red-haired witches' queen and lose Jabal completely"
Jasmine smiled. "The color, being the same as your hair and Jabal's was not the reason you chose the ref waterfall Ariana. You choose the waterfall because you see the hope of a better tomorrow for both of you and that is why you will have to choose to be with Jabal if you want that better tomorrow"
Ariana batted her lashes. She had not thought of that. She could remember now, that she had thought the color to be the best color she can choose which gives her hope of a better tomorrow for both of them. Is that the reason she was made to choose between her life and Jabal's? She sighed. "You might be right Jasmine. I ended up choosing to be with Jabal"
"What about you? Jabal?" Jasmine asked.
"I chose the yellow waterfall because it called my name"
"And what was your task?" Jasmine asked
"To choose to let Ariana become the red-haired witches' queen or keep her by my side"
"If I am correct, you chose yourself over her right?" Jasmine asked and Jabal nodded. "You did not choose the waterfall because you heard your name. You chose it. You are meant to put yourself in front of her because you need her. You also wanted better days ahead for the two of you and to do that, you will have to act a bit selfish. For the peace of the world too, you need to choose her to be with you because she is the one that can help you"
Jabal batted his lashes. Jasmine is right. "You are right but how are you able to know this?"
"Her witch instinct" Ariana answered. "I think I can understand better now". She turned to face Kelvin. "Kevin what color did you pick and who did you see?"
"I chose blue waterfall. And that is because I saw Jasmine's face in it" Kelvin replied and Jasmine gasped. Her face?.
"You saw Jasmine's face?" Ryan asked from behind and everyone turned to face him in shock.

Ryan had chosen the violet color because he hoped to see his mate soon. Though he knew that for as long as Kelvin is alive, there will be no future for him and Jasmine. Even though he knew this, he couldn't help being in love with her. Her smile has always melted his heart.
Seeing the way Kelvin looks at Jasmine, he knew sooner or later, Jasmine will fall in love with Kelvin. If nothing brings them together, their mate bond will.
Soon, they will have to mark each other. He doesn't know, how demons mark their mate but he was sure of werewolves and how they mark their mates.
He wanted a mate for himself too. He wanted a mate he will love and cherish and will have no fear of losing. So when he entered the waterfall, he hoped he could see his future and his mate.
He walked through the waterfall, wondering where he is going. Like Kelvin, this is his first time being tested by a witch, but he had heard from Jasmine what it feels like to be tested or to undergo a task given by a witch.
Unlike the task and tests they undergo on their way to Alaska, this is different. He had undergone that task and test with others but not alone. This is his first time being tested by a witch alone. He was curious to know what his task will be like and if he would be able to pass the test.
He could hear the sound of the water falling and wondered what it feels like to touch it. He stretched his hand to touch it. He could feel the coldness of the violet water.
He looked around, walking through the waterfall. Everything began to change and he stopped moving.
What is going on? he thought.
He saw a beautiful garden. He suddenly saw Jasmine walking through a garden. He followed her, calling her name.
"Jasmine" he called but there was no response from her. He wondered if she could not hear him or if she deliberately ignore him. He quickened his steps towards her and made to touch her but his hand passed through her.
He staggered backward not in fear but surprise. He could understand now, why Jasmine can't hear him. She is just a mirage. She doesn't exist. He decided to follow her to see what she is up to.
Quietly, he followed her around the garden. After a while, he stopped. He could not get the reason he has been following Jasmine about. There was nothing for him to see. Just when he thought of going back, the garden and Jasmine disappeared.
He found himself in his packhouse. He could see his pack members moving about their daily activities. Children were running about too. He could hear their laughter.
He walked past some pack members and heard them having a chat that interest him. He had heard Jasmine's name and had wondered why her name was been mentioned.
They suddenly lowered their voices and he could hardly hear what they are saying. He thought of moving closer to them but decided against it. What if they see him?. What if they can recognize him?.
They were staring in his direction but had said nothing. He chuckled. They would have recognized him if they can see him. He moved closer to them to listen to their conversation.
Moving closer to them, he was able to hear what they are talking about. They were talking about his wedding to Jasmine. He batted his lashes.
He got married to Jasmine?. Will he get married to Jasmine in the future?. What about Kelvin?. What happened to him?.
He was curious to confirm what he had heard. He walked into his room to see Jasmine seated. He wondered why this part of his future was been shown to him and what his task might be.
He walked out of the room but instead of walking into his pack territory, he found himself a distance away from a river and wondered why he was brought here. He could a man and a woman splashing water on themselves. He could also tell that they are in love with each other.
He was curious to know who these two lovers are and why he was brought here to see them. He moved closer to the river only to see himself and Jasmine. He batted his eyes in surprise.
What is he doing with Jasmine close to a river?. Is this future going to be real?. Will Kelvin give up his love for Jasmine?. He was confused about what was going on. Jasmine suddenly began to groan and she fell to the ground. He was startled by what just happened.
"Jasmine" he called.
He ran towards her. He watched as his other part carried her up and rushed back to the packhouse. He walked into the packhouse.
"Congratulations, alpha. Your wife is expecting a child" he heard and he stood rooted to his spot. Jasmine is going to marry him and get pregnant for him?. What is going on?. Why isn't anyone speaking to him?
"Ryan, this is going to be your future. Your future with Jasmine" he heard someone say and he frowned. Jasmine is not his mate?. He did not feel any mate connection with her. Why will this be his future with her?.
"I still don't get it. I might be in love with her but she is not my mate" he answered.
"She is not your mate now but she can be soon. Your future with her will be bright. You can make her all yours"
He furrowed his brows. Isn't he suppose to carry out a task?. Why then is his future been shown to him?. And what exactly is his task here.
"What is my task here?" He asked
"There is still more future to be shown to you, Ryan. After then, your task will be shown to you"
He sighed, wondering what else is still ahead of him. Everything disappeared and he found himself in his packhouse. He could hear the cry of babies. He walked in the direction of the cry and found himself in his room.
He could see Jasmine, trying to pet two cute babies to sleep.
"Can you come, help me out here?" She said and he saw himself moving close to her. He sighed. This future seems too good to be true.
He was taken to a thick bush. He could hear someone screaming. He ran in the direction of the scream.
He saw someone with white long hair. He could tell this has to be Jasmine. Her fingernails were longer than he has ever known. Her white hair was longer than it was in reality. She had her hands on her hair as she screamed louder than before.
"Jasmine?" He called moving closer to her.
He stopped moving when he suddenly began to see some write-ups which were being assimilated by her. The more the write-ups entered her body, the longer her fingernails and hair become. The writeups were increasing and she seems to be losing herself. He knew if she loses herself more than this, it will be a disaster for the world.
He tried to touch her but was thrown back. What is he supposed to do? He wondered.
"She needs a demon blood or she loses herself completely," a voice said and he batted his lashes. He has no demon blood. How can he get a demon's blood?
"I-i've got no demon blood" he stuttered.
"Then she will lose herself completely," the voice said.
"Jasmine?" He called and she turned. Her eyes were so red. She began to move closer to him and he moved backward.
What is going on? He thought. A shield was suddenly created, preventing her from coming closer to him.
"Ryan?" He heard Stella's voice.
"Stella?" He called.
"Yes, it's me. You can see Jasmine has lost herself completely?" Stella asked and he nodded.
"Yes"
"Now listen carefully. This is her future. She will lose control of herself just like this. She has lost control of herself completely because she did not get a demon's blood. She won't be able to control herself and she needs to die or she will destroy the world. Look over there" Stella said and Ryan turned. He saw a shiny object. "Look to the right,"
Ryan looked to the right. He saw a bowl of water. "What are they for?" He asked.
"The knife can kill her," Stella said and he batted his lashes. He should kill her?
