15. Wind Horse

Indeed, despite channeling negative energy into Lan Ming, the wood tiger spirit still couldn't free itself. Refusing to give up and growing more determined to fight, the wood tiger spirit deliberately directed sharp thorns on its body through the chain around its neck.
The sharp thorns successfully pierced Lan Ming's skin, coupled with a drastic decrease in his energy, making his body's resilience weaker. Not only that, but the healing energy was also operating very slowly. The wounds on Lan Ming's body grew larger. Yet Lan Ming, still unwilling to surrender, exerted all his energy, even allowing his hands, now torn and broken, to remain so in the healing process.
The wood tiger spirit then detonated all the energy within its body. Lan Ming's body was thrown, his hands now severed. Seizing the opportunity, the wood tiger spirit then attacked Lan Ming. Its sharp claws tore into Lan Ming's skin.
Lan Ming tried to evade by flying into the air, attempting to escape. However, the wood tiger spirit pursued him into the air, nearly lunging at Lan Ming's body. The Wind God opened a teleportation portal, quickly moving himself a little farther away from the wood tiger spirit.
He used this opportunity to heal his severed hand. Sweat and blood poured from his body, even starting to impair his vision. His breath became labored. His heartbeats grew weaker.
Damn it... if this continues, it seems no one will survive, he thought desperately. If he fails to delay and dies on the spot, the wood tiger spirit will undoubtedly attack Pit Hong, and even worse, it will also kill the people he has relocated to the protective dome.
When his left hand had recovered and grown back, it was now the turn for his right hand to heal. The wood tiger spirit appeared out of nowhere and once again attempted to attack him. The wood tiger spirit seemed to want to pounce on Lan Ming's healing right hand.
Luckily, Lan Ming was quicker this time. He stared at the wood tiger spirit with anger. How could the wood tiger spirit attempt to attack his healing right hand? That certainly ignited anger in his heart.
A huge storm emerged from behind Lan Ming. For a moment, the power surged due to Lan Ming's fury. The storm slammed the wood tiger spirit.
Controlled by uncontrollable rage, Lan Ming unleashed his divine power and began draining his energy. He summoned a wind horse he had never summoned before. The wind horse descended from the sky, running fiercely.
Unconsciously driven by rage, he invoked his divine power, draining it completely. Lan Ming called forth a wind horse that he had never called before. The wind horse descended from the sky, running fiercely.
Lan Ming mounted the wind horse. And when he was still under the influence of his anger, his consciousness disappeared. Merging with the wind horse, Lan Ming went berserk, charging at the wood tiger spirit without an ounce of fear. The wind horse increased its speed, and its mane seemed to aid the movement of the wind.
The horse collided with the wood tiger spirit intentionally, causing the wood tiger spirit to try to maintain its position to prevent being thrown away. Its sharp claws attempted to hold itself in place.
"Léi bào lái le! Huǐmiè nǐ de duìshǒu!" Lan Ming muttered with a chilling voice.
After Lan Ming uttered the mantra, the sky turned very dark, black clouds appeared, and rain and lightning struck. Lan Ming and his horse ascended higher into the sky, ignoring the terrifying lightning. The wind horse absorbed the rain and lightning that struck. Then, it spun at high speed, releasing what it had absorbed from its mouth.
When the wind horse expelled everything it had absorbed, the wood tiger spirit was trapped in a torrential storm of lightning. The wood tiger spirit was destroyed, but once again, it seemed to be far from defeated. The shattered body of the wood tiger spirit formed into a giant ball of pitch-black color. The ball exploded in a tremendous blast shortly afterward.
Lan Ming, who was on the wind horse at the time, was thrown downward. Meanwhile, the wind horse he was riding disappeared as it was caught in the explosion. The fortress where Pit Hong took cover was also destroyed. Pit Hong, who was hiding inside, was thrown far away somewhere until his body crashed into a large tree, knocking him unconscious. The dome that served as protection for the people also cracked, and the people inside were terrified.
It was as if doomsday had come quickly. As soon as the giant ball exploded, it wreaked havoc on everything around it.
---
"Hey, loser, wake up!" Someone kicked Lan Ming's body.
Lan Ming could feel it. He slowly opened his heavy eyes. His head hurt so much it almost prevented him from standing. When he tried to force himself to look around, he found Bi Kwe standing in front of him, hands on hips. Bi Kwe appeared, holding a red umbrella in his hand. The face of the Thieving Goddess looked as smug as ever.
"How could you be here, Bi Kwe?"
"I don't need to answer that." Bi Kwe chose not to respond, being dismissive. "I bothered to come here to help you. Did you forget that gods and goddesses can sense distress?"
"I seem to have forgotten about that."
Wanting to yell at Bi Kwe, as usual, Lan Ming, who realized that the situation was critical, tried to contain his emotions for now.
"Don't reject my help. You are so weak for a high-class fighting god," he taunted. "Look at that blind dragon spirit; it seems it could kill you anytime."
Bi Kwe could clearly see the blind dragon spirit flying wildly in the air. Seeing the blind dragon spirit, there was an underlying fear of fighting it. But he realized that this dangerous situation would only get worse if left unchecked. The Thieving Goddess silently glanced at Lan Ming and the unfamiliar man she brought along but didn't recognize, who looked pathetic.
Lan Ming looked up at the sky and noticed the blind dragon spirit. He was surprised, but the surprise didn't last long. He realized that the blind dragon spirit must have been born from the wood tiger spirit he had fought before. It seemed that the blind dragon spirit was a revolution of the wood tiger spirit. The wood tiger spirit that died formed itself into a giant black ball, then exploded and gave birth to a stronger spirit than before.
