19. Cold-hearted God

"Is this all your doing?" Lan Ming retorted, his voice equally cold.
"Do I need to affirm an answer here?" came the indifferent reply.
Without hesitation, Lan Ming immediately attacked the figure. Yet, he was effortlessly defeated without any effort.
"I never recalled having a sibling with the brains of a shrimp," the figure remarked as it casually approached Lan Ming before effortlessly kicking him.
Lan Ming tried to rise, utterly furious, but his drained energy rendered him unable to stand properly. "Answer me! Is all of this your plan just to bring me back?" Lan Ming glared sharply at the figure.
"You have no right to ask," the figure replied, still indifferent. "The old woman, upon learning that you are a god, even felt disgusted with herself for allowing a god to dwell in such squalid and unworthy conditions. She willingly sacrificed herself just to send you back to where you belong."
"Bastard, I don't care. This is all just your trickery!" Lan Ming rejected. The Wind God's body trembled violently. Not only was he drained of energy, but he also exuded a deadly aura that made him feel an intense intimidation.
"Go home and use your brain properly. If only you followed events as they should, this wouldn't have happened. Look around you because of your actions; you have endangered humanity like this," he said, pointing towards the dome protecting the civilians.
Instantly, fear gripped Lan Ming's heart. "This is all because of your actions. You're even willing to kill humans just to bring me back? You're a demon, not a god!" he cursed.
Ha Han remained silent. He then pointed his index finger towards the dome protecting the civilians. "Let's see how far you can endure," he said threateningly.
Lan Ming grew even more fearful. "Don't. Stop. How can you be so cruel, without considering the lives of others?"
"Pity for the weaker is just a feeling instilled by losers. It's a classic line for those with weak hearts," Ha Han punched Lan Ming once in the face, then dragged his body, pointing towards the sheltered civilians.
"Do you want me to show you how to annihilate humans?" Ha Han's index finger pointed directly at the protection dome.
Lan Ming was almost resigned, but his heart remained firm against Ha Han. "I'll listen to you, if you give me a chance to fight you one more time," he demanded, frustrated.
Ha Han absorbed all the energy in Lan Ming's body. He didn't hesitate to strike his brother with his lightning.
Lan Ming's body, struck, was almost entirely charred.
He couldn't move. All of his energy had been sucked away. Even moving a finger was now impossible.
"Kak Ha Han, stop! This has gone too far," Je Xi cried out in fear upon seeing Lan Ming's helpless state.
Ha Han looked at Je Xi coldly. "This has become a risk for himself. You should not interfere. It's better if you go back to the Celestial Realm immediately. You cannot expect anything from all of this," Ha Han said firmly.
Je Xi bit her lip. She did not silently accept Ha Han's words.
"Is this really your crude doing? I don't see how your treatment of Lan Ming, your own brother, could be justified. You intended to kill him!" Je Xi protested, her emotions running high.
Ha Han remained silent, seemingly indifferent to Je Xi's protest. He walked up to Lan Ming and stared at his brother for quite some time.
"I don't recall ever having a sibling in such a sorry state," he jeered. He then stepped on Lan Ming's hand, causing him to scream in pain. Afterward, he kicked his brother's body, sending him flying quite a distance away.
"Indeed... you're rightfully called the god of cold blood. I must admit that you are indeed very powerful. It's no wonder I've lost to you time and time again in every fight," Despite being relentlessly battered by Ha Han, Lan Ming still managed to express his admiration for Ha Han. "It's been a while since I've seen your vicious side come out."
Ha Han stared sharply at Lan Ming. "It's pathetic to see you have to be taught in such a rough manner. It's as if you've lost all function of your brain."
Lan Ming chuckled mockingly. Even though his entire body was battered and bruised, it didn't diminish his dislike for his brother. "It seems it will take a long time to make you understand. Our ways of thinking are too far apart."
"It's your way of thinking that needs to be corrected." Ha Han raised one of his hands, towards the sky, and then a sword in the form of lightning appeared. "It seems I'll have to put you to sleep first to bring you back without resistance," he said coldly.
"Go ahead. It's better if you kill me now than continue playing with threats like this," Lan Ming replied.
Ha Han appeared indifferent, then he swung his sword, seemingly about to strike Lan Ming's neck. But before the sword could swing properly, Je Xi suddenly stood in front of Lan Ming, trying to protect him.
"I won't let Kak Ha Han go this far. If you continue to be rough with Lan Ming like this, I won't hesitate to oppose you!" Je Xi bravely tried to protect Lan Ming, although deep down she felt afraid.
"Don't interfere, Je Xi," Ha Han disregarded Je Xi's attempt to protect Lan Ming.
"I won't let Kak Ha Han take Lan Ming to the Celestial Realm!" Je Xi remained stubborn in front of Ha Han.
Ha Han pointed towards the dome where the civilians were sheltered. And in an instant, all the people inside turned into stone.
"I'm giving you a choice. If you don't let me take Lan Ming to the Celestial Realm, I won't hesitate to turn those weak humans into stone forever. But if you let me take Lan Ming, I'll return those humans to normal," Ha Han offered.
