27. Arc Bamboo 04 Final

"What was that sound?" Chan Do exclaimed in panic.
Zhu didn't stay idle; he quickly checked outside of his bamboo house, followed by Lan Ming and Pit Hong.
The three of them went outside and found the charred remains of a large crow.
Zhu, upon finding the crow's carcass, understood that he was being terrorized by someone who didn't like him. The witch from the neighboring village often sent him dark magic. However, the previous incidents didn't bother him much. Unfortunately, this time, Zhu felt it had gone too far.
"Seeing you this serious, I'm sure you understand the current situation," Lan Ming waited for Zhu to explain the situation.
"This is a delivery from a witch who hates me. He often does things like this to me. But this time, I feel it's gone too far. That's why I'm asking for your help in dealing with this issue," Zhu said.
"Listening to your explanation, could we assume that this latest delivery is more dangerous than before? Could it be because of our arrival in your village?" Pit Hong inquired.
"It's possible. But I'm not sure about this issue," Zhu sighed heavily. "We should just go back for now. I'll discuss this matter with you," he said, leading the others back into his house.

A long conversation took place, lasting until nighttime had arrived, forcing them all to rest. They decided to continue the discussion the next day.
When everyone had fallen asleep, Bi Kwe suddenly woke up in the middle of the night, intending to go to the bathroom. Bi Kwe bit his lip nervously. He had forced himself to go alone without being accompanied by anyone.
"Damn, why are they so hard to wake up?" he muttered irritably.
The Thief Goddess quickened her pace, heading towards the bathroom, which was quite far from the house where she was staying.
Hastily, the Thief Goddess made her way to her destination. Until finally, her steps unexpectedly stopped at an unexpected place. Where she ended up, in front of a river with a calm flow. The river water sparkled, but strangely, there seemed to be snow around the river.
"Snow?" Bi Kwe, who couldn't believe his eyes, rubbed them. He was quite sure that there was some sort of snow around the river. Yet he was certain that it was summer now, making it impossible for snow to fall.
Enthralled, Bi Kwe... didn't realize that there was a figure he had overlooked. Bi Kwe was too focused and unaware that the figure bathing in the river was glaring at him.
"Hey... what are you doing here?" The figure bathing in the river called out to Bi Kwe, who seemed mesmerized by the sight of the snow. "Are you trying to peek at me bathing?" His voice sounded quite loud.
Bi Kwe snapped out of it, his gaze now automatically shifting to the source of the voice. He was surprised to find a young man bathing in the cold river at night.
Although he was a deity, Bi Kwe was quite cowardly when it came to dealing with something that threatened his safety.

Automatically, Bi Kwe tried to run away from the figure. Bi Kwe even forgot his original intention to go to the bathroom. When he fled.
"I hope that weird creature doesn't chase after me," he muttered. When he stopped for a moment, he didn't realize that in his hand, he was holding something—a piece of cloth.
Bi Kwe examined the cloth he had inadvertently brought along. And to his surprise, he was shocked when the figure he avoided appeared not far from him.
The figure around him seemed to emit snowflakes from his body. And even stranger, he seemed to be wearing only the cloth that covered his lower body.
"Aaarrgggh...." Bi Kwe tried to escape, but to his surprise, the strange man froze his legs. Suddenly, Bi Kwe's legs became immobile.
The figure then waved his hand slowly in the air. Then, a spear made of ice appeared. He then proceeded to throw the spear towards Bi Kwe, who couldn't move.
Bi Kwe could only resign himself; he closed his eyes as the ice spear almost pierced his body. But to his surprise, another figure appeared, now shielding him, causing the spear to miss him and hit the other figure instead.
"Je Xi... but why?" Bi Kwe was shocked when he opened his eyes, finding Je Xi embracing him from the front. As a result, Je Xi was the one hit by the attack, not him.
Je Xi smiled. He secretly helped Bi Kwe by melting the ice on the Thief Goddess's feet with his energy. Now that the ice on Bi Kwe's feet had melted, Je Xi, through telepathy, instructed the Thief Goddess to flee.
Hearing Je Xi telling him to escape didn't mean Bi Kwe would flee as usual this time. Bi Kwe realized it would be very dangerous to leave the Voiceless Goddess, who couldn't fight, alone.
"No. You should be the one to go and inform the others. It's too dangerous for you to stay here," Bi Kwe warned. The Thief Goddess realized that letting Je Xi fight alone would only kill him. And seeing Je Xi injured like this also strengthened the idea that Bi Kwe shouldn't let Je Xi stay here for too long.
Je Xi shook his head. He stubbornly refused to leave Bi Kwe just like that. Feelings of inferiority because he had always been a burden to his friends always surfaced in his heart. And now, he also felt that leaving Bi Kwe was wrong. He was sure that Bi Kwe wouldn't be able to defeat the mysterious figure.
"I won't care even if you both are women. Because you both have disturbed my peace," the mysterious man said as he produced two white light orbs from his hands. He then threw them into the sky. Shortly after, a shadowy figure of a floating woman appeared. The woman created ice around her with her breath.
The shadowy woman then attacked Bi Kwe and Je Xi. Bi Kwe used his protective shield created from hundreds of peony flowers. But unfortunately, his shield was easily penetrated. Bi Kwe tried to use his Fe Let technique to summon his bird spirit. However, the shadowy woman managed to freeze one of Bi Kwe's hands, preventing him from using his hand to create summoning seals.
