"Kaak!" Chan Do screamed in fear as he found Bi Kwe's figure falling into the dark abyss.
"Chan Do, wake up!" Bi Kwe shook his brother's body. He panicked to see his brother apparently having a nightmare.
Chan Do woke up, his eyes wide open as he looked around. His body was drenched in cold sweat. He was panting heavily; his breath felt so heavy. The nightmare he had just experienced still filled his mind.
"What's wrong?" Bi Kwe asked worriedly. The Thief Goddess placed the back of her hand on Chan Do's forehead. "What did you dream about to make you like this?"
"Kakak fell into a very dark abyss. It was so terrifying... I couldn't reach Kakak's hand," he said, trying to calm himself down. The horrifying incident from the nightmare still lingered in his mind.
"But it's just a dream, isn't it? You shouldn't dwell on it too much." Bi Kwe then took Chan Do's hand to help him up. "I'll make you some tea to calm your mind," he said.
Chan Do followed his brother's suggestion and went to drink tea to calm himself.

"So, you want to train to become stronger and protect Bi Kwe? Is that what you mean, asking me to train you?" Lan Ming looked at Chan Do, noticing the seriousness on his face. It seemed that Chan Do was not joking about his intentions.
Chan Do bowed. He did so to humble himself in front of Lan Ming. "I beg of you. You are a strong figure and a high-level fighter. Please teach me some techniques so I can protect Kakak and not be weak like this."
Lan Ming understood Chan Do's intention. He then decided to teach him some techniques that he thought could be taught to Chan Do.

"Just fight me, and do anything for now. Try not to stand still. When I attack you," Lan Ming instructed Chan Do. Lan Ming decided to teach Chan Do fighting techniques by practicing them directly. Besides, he deliberately engaged Chan Do in combat so that he could see what strengths could be developed from the person he was going to teach.
Chan Do looked nervous. He wasn't actually confident in his abilities. Fighting against Lan Ming, who was a level above him, clearly created a sense of inferiority in him. But he realized how disrespectful he would be if he ran from this situation. So, with all the courage he had, Chan Do would still fight against Lan Ming.
"Chan Do, I'm going to attack you, get ready!" Lan Ming exclaimed. The Wind God then jumped and spun towards his target, Chan Do.
"Eh... eh?" Chan Do panicked as he faced the sudden attack launched by Lan Ming. He was too panicked and almost got hit by Lan Ming's attack, but fortunately, he instinctively lowered his body, causing Lan Ming's attack to fail.
The missed attack didn't mean Lan Ming stopped his assault. This time, he launched his second attack, spinning backward intending to strike Chan Do.
Unlike before, Chan Do was more prepared this time. It seemed he started to see the pattern of Lan Ming's attacks, which relied on kicks. So, when Lan Ming spun backward, Chan Do blocked the attack with both of his hands.
Lan Ming retreated, then he kept his distance from Chan Do, who now appeared much more cautious than before.
"Don't just evade! Try to attack me!" Lan Ming rebuked, realizing that Chan Do was just avoiding his attacks without putting up a fight.
Chan Do swallowed hard, feeling worried again. Lan Ming's movements, which he had seen before, were quite clear in his memory. Chan Do intended to try that attack, even though he had never done it before.
Armed with determination and seeing Lan Ming's previous attack pattern, Chan Do utilized his heel, executing a backward heel kick.
His attack was easily evaded by Lan Ming. However, Lan Ming could see that Chan Do understood the fight and quickly mimicked his opponent's moves to try on himself.
Lan Ming attacked again, using a straight kick technique. Surprisingly, Chan Do was hit this time. But Chan Do didn't give up; he advanced again, launching a sidekick. Unfortunately, Lan Ming managed to block the attack. The Wind God seized the opportunity to strike with a short-range punch as they were now quite close.
Chan Do, being hit again, retreated. Lan Ming, who previously relied on kicking attacks, now used punching attacks. Chan Do paused for a moment; he wanted to try a little of the technique he had previously practiced. That is, the ability to see the vital points on his opponent's body emitting energy.
"Why are you daydreaming? You shouldn't daydream during a fight!" Lan Ming called out.
Chan Do almost lost his focus, but he tried to concentrate. Though just a little, he could still see a few points on Lan Ming's body that he could attack. After glimpsing these vital points, Chan Do dared to attack Lan Ming.
Chan Do launched an attack, aiming at several vital points on Lan Ming's body. Of course, Lan Ming was familiar with this attack. Honestly, he himself realized that Chan Do seemed intent on attacking his vital points. That's why he deliberately tried to make Chan Do lose his focus.
Lan Ming grabbed Chan Do's hand, then punched his chin forcefully. Not only that, Lan Ming gripped his opponent's neck, then slammed him to the ground. Chan Do, receiving the blow, didn't want to give up easily. After being battered several times, Chan Do actually aimed for Lan Ming's solar plexus with his hand, making it like a stab.
"Too fast for you to defeat me!" Lan Ming twisted Chan Do's wrist and kicked the god's much younger body.
Chan Do was thrown, but he held on with his hands on the ground. He now looked much more serious after receiving multiple attacks. In fact, it seemed like Chan Do wanted to awaken the power of his serpent monster.
Lan Ming realized that. Chan Do indeed had great abilities, but unfortunately, he still couldn't control himself. Especially, the ability of the serpent monster often took over his consciousness.
