I slowly opened my eyes. My eyes widened when I realized I was in an unfamiliar room. Where am I? I tried to recall. If I'm not mistaken, after a long conversation with James, he allowed me to rest, and we agreed to find a way for me to return to my time. James also mentioned... "Tell him the truth about who you are. That's the only way so that you won't regret it." I looked around. This wasn't the room I slept in last night. How did I end up here? I looked around. My eyes widened seeing the satin nightdress perfectly draped on my body. When did I wear this nightdress? I got out of bed, heading towards the mirror. My jaw dropped. I stared in disbelief. It wasn't Bella but me. Hanna. My skin was smooth and clear, my body slim and slender. At first glance, it felt like a dream. Is this really me? Impossible. I was confused for a moment. No matter how hard I tried to analyse the situation, I still couldn't understand. If I really returned to my time, where was my old skin? How could I suddenly become beautiful? The effects of time travel? It makes little sense. Moreover, where is this house? Could it be that I was kidnapped? The door to the room was knocked loudly, making me startle. I slowly turned the doorknob. A middle-aged woman stood in front of the door. "Hanna, haven't you dressed yet? You said you had a date today. Get ready quickly. Come down for breakfast later, okay?" she said. I was dumbfounded. Who is this lady? Furthermore, she mentioned a date today. With whom? When did this happen? Can't be... "Wait, a second!" I interjected. "Err... What day is it today? I mean, the date?" I swallowed nervously. "Today is March 3rd," she replied. My eyebrows furrowed. Since when did May suddenly change to March? I understood I might be in the future now. What I didn't understand was how May could suddenly change to March? "March 3rd, 2023?" I guessed. She chuckled softly. "Today is March 3rd, 2026. Don't you remember?" "March 3rd, 2026?" I gaped, fainting on the spot. “Hanna, wake up!” My cheeks felt like they were gently slapped. I opened my eyes, and the light illuminated my vision. It was my room. “Thank god!” I looked to my left and was stunned to see a man I knew very well. “Tyler...?” “Yes, honey. I’m here. How do you feel?” he asked with obvious concern. I never thought I could meet Tyler in the future. I swallowed hard; my throat felt dry. I glanced at the water jug on the nearby table. “Are you thirsty? Wait, a second.” Tyler poured water into a small cup and helped me drink. “Are you okay?” “Tyler… What are you doing here?” My voice sounded stiff. I sipped water a few more times, realizing how thirsty I was. “Honey, what are you talking about? Of course, I’m here. I’m your husband.” The last sentence made me spit out the water.
The harsh reality that the future had changed hit me hard. I just found out that mom never married dad, and now I have lost my siblings forever. What happened? I changed nothing! How could everything turn like this? To make it worse, I was shocked by the revelation that Tyler was now my husband. Everything that happened was too much for me to accept, to where I had to drive them all out of my room. I spent almost a whole day confined to my room. Tyler and the woman didn't stop trying to coax me out. I felt extremely pressured. My mind was blank, and I didn't know what to do. This was not the future I wanted. Being rich was meaningless if my siblings were not here. Part of me wanted to end my life. I couldn't bear it anymore. I realized I couldn't be fragile now. There were still many unanswered questions. Like it or not, fate had brought me here. I had no choice but to continue living. But thinking about my siblings, my heart shattered into a thousand pieces. Imagining that they were not here, hurt me so much. I hid my face in my knees. “Honey… Open this door, please. I’m worried sick about you. Please open this door…” The knocking on the door sounded again. I covered both ears with my hands, not wanting to hear the voice. CLICK! The sound of the door opening. I sighed, still in the same position. I knew that eventually; they would open it with the spare key. I just hoped they would give me more time alone. I still couldn't accept the loss of my siblings, coupled with the fact that I was Tyler's wife. I felt like dying right now. My ears caught the sound of footsteps getting closer. It must be Tyler. I sighed again. “Hanna, are you okay?” Hearing that voice, I quickly lifted my face to look at the owner of the voice. He also looked surprised to see me. I shed tears. All emotions overflowed uncontrollably. Unable to contain the feelings, I immediately jumped off the bed and hugged him tightly. I sobbed on his chest, unable to control myself. "Dylan, I miss you!" my tears flowed. His initially stiff body became even stiffer, hearing my words. I didn't care. I tightened the hug, and the tension in his body loosened. "I miss you too, Hanna..." he whispered, adding to my tears.
