78 Queen

“Are you crazy?”
“Go and die, little girl.” Almost everyone was cussing me
out, except Lana and Samira. I closed my eyes, trying to ask for my mom’s guidance.
If I was to be their queen, then I should have their respect. But how could I lead if they still didn’t respect me? I breathed deeply, trying to find a way to prove myself to them.
I could see that they were still trapped in Haelyn’s manip- ulation spell. And in order to break that curse, I had to wake them all up just like I did earlier with Ace.
But unlike Ace, they did not have a strong will, they only wanted to be under someone more powerful than them. I tried to push my fire everywhere in the sky, breaking a few spells. Lana was encouraging me, even helping me.
As soon as I had finished breaking all the spells, the witches were in a daze, and they looked at me in confusion. Lana then grabbed her mic and yelled, “Everyone, the princess is here! She just broke Haelyn’s manipulation spell on you!”
Instantly, everyone seemed to get it and they kneeled down and bowed on their knees. They were cheering, and hugging each other, and tears were running down their faces.
“Our queen!”
“We don’t hate Queen Selyse, Leader Haelyn just instilled in us everything when we had been loyal to the queen from the start.”
“We apologize that we mistreated you.”
I could hear them all muttering. I nodded. “It is alright, this is just the beginning. I promise that I will help you all in restoring this realm.”
I could feel my mother smiling at me. At long last, I had done my duty.
I finally freed them. It felt so liberating watching them happy and content, as if I had pulled out the thick spike from their shoulders like a rose. I had a feeling that this would be the start of something good.
“You did a great job.” Gusev nudged me.
I gasped. “Oh, what about the attacks from the humans?” “I had my members stop it. That’s disrupting the balance
of the whole world so we have to take action,” Gusev explained and I nodded.
“Wow, I’m surprised that you are kind of responsible, Gusev.”
“What? You think everything was just a game for me? I am high ranking in the vampire world, and overseeing matters like this is part of my job.”
“I am just surprised that you are working hard... are you sure you are the real Gusev?”
He chuckled and joked, “What if I’m not?”
I can’t help but laugh at him, as he sighed. “Ah, I missed having a chat with you, that damn Ace surely kept you busy every time.”
“Well, you can visit this realm every now and then.” “Oh, can I find some girlfriends here? I am bored.” Ah, of course. Gusev won’t be Gusev if he won’t come
around to play. “Gusev, I am warning you...”
His eyes glanced at Lana behind us. Lana seemed to feel
his gaze as she met his eyes and reddened.
I scoffed. Wait a minute.
When did these two?
Gusev winked at her and turned to me. “How about that
beautiful girl? She’s a beauty.”
I sighed. “Gusev if you’re not that serious, I am warning
you to stay away. That is my assistant and if she happens to start crying to me, I am going to kill you.”
Gusev just chuckled, not taking my threat seriously. “Awe c’mon, everyone around me has their significant others... plus, witches have spells to make their lives longer right?”
I blinked, and before I could reply, he was ready to head to Lara to make his move.
I shook my head at Gusev and turned back to look at the crowd of witches in front of me. This was it. The war was over. We won.
Samira suddenly nudged me, and I looked down to see her holding a circle of flowers. No, a crown made from flowers.
“This is temporary for now, but we want to show you our thanks,” Samira cutely said, looking flustered.
I smiled. “Awe, thank you, my dear.” I kneeled so she could reach my head and place it on top.
Samira smiled at me. “Wow, you look beautiful. The crown suits you, Your Highness,”
I couldn’t help but smile back. “Thank you, Samira.”
I had instructed Lana to restore everything in the realm after that. Everyone seemed to have accepted me as their new queen. Although some were still confused, I understood that. It would take time for them as they had been locked like that for years.
I let Lana take charge of the realm while I went to the throne and fixed it, asking Alpha Kamilah and Irina for help.
Suddenly, I felt a strong kick in my belly and I paused, looking at Irina with wide eyes.
“What’s wrong? I told you to sleep and rest up, you might faint if you continue,” she scolded me.
“Where’s Ace?” I calmly asked, leaning against the wall for support. Alpha Kamilah came to my side to let me lean on her.
“He’s still at the pack doctor, getting cured.”
“Tell him to come here. Now.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I think I am going to...GIVE BIRTH TO OUR PUP
NOW!!” I couldn’t maintain my composure and yelled in pain as Irina instantly ran down to call for Ace, while alpha Kamilah stayed calm beside me.
“Okay calm down. Deep breaths,” she said to me.
“I am calm!” I yelled, “It’s just painful! It’s coming!” Alpha Kamilah gulped. “I have been pregnant two times
but I had never tried to be the one helping the mother. Oh goodness, how to do this?”
Seemed that Alpha Kamilah was the one panicking more than me and it was my first time seeing her flustered like this.
Fortunately, Lana was there. She came to my side and instantly conjured a bed and made me lie down on my back. She then grabbed towels, a bowl, and some necessary things and all I could see was darkness.
“Okay, Queen Kira, please stay calm. I am here. I am experienced in matters like this.” She then made me open my legs and cut my dress. I felt her putting something inside me, but it didn’t mattered to me. All I could think about at this moment was the overbearing pain inside me.
Alpha Kamilah stayed and I grabbed her hand for support. Goodness, if the baby comes without Ace, I'll panic.
“It’s a good thing that the baby decided to come after the
fight,” Lana commented, trying to make the air lighter.
I could feel another sharp pain and I was sweating bullets. Just then, the door opened and I could see Ace coming in
a rush. Although his arms were covered with a lot of bandage, he ran to my side and wiped the sweat on my forehead. He then planted a soft kiss as he smiled. “I am here, Kira. Deep breaths.”
I blinked, feeling off, not sensing his scent but instead smelled a vampire and I growled.
“Gusev! Stop acting like my mate!” I yelled, knowing it was Gusev that shapeshifted.
The Ace in front of me chuckled nervously. “Oh, I shouldn’t have said to you that I could shapeshift.”
He then turned to his original vampire self. Just then, the door opened again and I was sure Ace was there. Thank goodness because Alpha Kai and Alpha Magnus were helping him walk, guiding him to me.
“Baby, I am here now.” He then smiled at me. “You’re finally going to deliver our pups.”
I couldn’t reply as the pain was getting stronger. My hands that were previously holding Alpha Kamilah went to grip Ace and I felt safer now, more at ease.
“Alright, I could feel the head. Your Highness, you can now push.”
“Ah!” The pain was so severe that I almost tore Ace's skin apart. I felt like I had been drained too much to even scream and push.
“Queen Kira? Your Highness? You must not drift into sleep!” yelled Lana, her voice getting distant in my ears.
My eyes were fluttering close until my eyelids were too heavy.
