Tony thought and said, "Leave that to me. Just tell the police that a friend of yours did it. After dealing with them, if anything happens in the house, run back. I know a cop in town; I'll let him know so you don't have to worry." "Alright, you go then. Remember to be careful, and if the wound doesn't seem right, go to the hospital immediately." "Got it, I know." Tony said. Anna watched Tony's car leave her house, then immediately dialed 911. "This is 911, how can we help you?" "There are two masked intruders in my house." "What's your current situation?" "I'm safe; the two of them are subdued. I request police assistance." "Are you injured? Do you need medical assistance?" "I think they tried to break into my house; I need more than just medical assistance." "The police and an ambulance will be there shortly. Stay in a safe place and wait for the police." Meanwhile, Tony had driven a considerable distance away from Anna's house. He was searching for Henry, Alex's uncle's number when Anna called. Tony picked up, and on the other end, he heard: "Tony, why are you answering just now? Do you know how many times I've called you?" When Tony checked his phone while getting into the car, he noticed over twenty missed calls from Young, but he didn't call her back immediately. He wanted to call Henry first, considering it more urgent. Unexpectedly, Young called. "I left my phone in the car and forgot to bring it inside. I just went to get it, and that's when you called." Tony explained. Young, a bit annoyed, said, "Do you know how worried I was about you?" Tony said, "Next time, I won't let you worry like that." Young, still a bit upset, said, "Next time, if you don't answer, you'll see the consequences when we meet tomorrow." "Forgive me. It wasn't intentional. I had to make a call, and I'll call you back in a while, alright?" "Deal with it and remember to call me." Although Young was a bit upset with Tony, seeing that he was okay, she felt relieved. She was simply concerned for Tony, and when she saw he had matters to attend to, she didn't want to bother him. Tony hung up and immediately dialed Henry's number. After several long rings, the other end finally picked up: "Tony, what's up? If it's not important, let's talk later; I'm busy." Tony said, "Is it true you're going to Anna's house?" Henry was somewhat surprised. Henry, through the dispatch, knew the caller reporting the crime was Anna, and he also knew who Anna was. Nevertheless, the town wasn't very big. But how did Tony know where he was going? Henry asked, surprised, "How do you know?" Tony said, "I just left there." Henry, a bit bewildered, didn't understand what Tony wanted to tell him. Henry asked to confirm, "Just left there?" Tony said, "Yes, the two intruders at Anna's house were taken down by me." Henry felt like Tony had just thrown a large bomb at him. He glanced briefly at his colleague sitting next to him and then spoke into the phone: "So, what's the matter?" Tony explained everything to Henry. "I left because I didn't want anyone to know. I told Anna to say that a friend helped her, and then I left when everything was settled. I don't want anyone to know that I was involved, and I was there. I'm afraid the police will try to find out who did it. So, I called you. Uncle Henry, can you help me with this?" "If I remember correctly, you and Young are dating, right? The two of you are close friends." Henry, simply listening to Tony, immediately understood what Tony was trying to avoid. A seasoned cop like Henry, if he couldn't recognize a simple extramarital affair, then maybe he should retire to his garden. And thanks to the affair, Tony had saved his mistress from two intruders. Henry was a bit amazed by this turn of events. Tony saved Young and then saved Anna, and Young and Anna were best friends, making their relationships quite complicated. "It's quite complicated. Young doesn't know about this." "Who... I'll help you with this, but there won't be a next time." "Thank you, Uncle." Alright, we'll talk later; I'm on duty now. Henry said. The colleague sitting next to Henry asked, "What's going on, Henry?" Henry said, "It's nothing. It's just that my nephew has some relationship issues. You know how kids these days are so into..." "That's right. Kids nowadays have so many issues. It's different from our time." "Exactly, the kids nowadays are different from us." Henry agreed. Thanks to Henry, the case at Anna's house was resolved smoothly. The police didn't pursue too much about who subdued the intruders partly due to Henry's influence and partly because the evidence of unlawful entry and the tools they brought with them to commit the crime were too obvious. No one would have thought that Anna would make up a story to frame these two. And when those two were identified, the police were even more certain of their ill intentions when breaking into Anna's house, as they had a history of numerous crimes, including unlawful entry, assault, and rape of the homeowners.
