Chapter 79 One wish

Out of all the moments they have, she surely loves this kind where Raziel takes her out on a tour on his back. She gets to see the city at night when people are usually asleep. She gets to have her freedom. And the cold wind massaging her skin, giving goosebumps was satisfying.

The next day, they continued and got closer to the Lumen Empire. The man was still there to guide the way to them. Fedel was keen on threatening the old man the moment he decided to fool them. Stopping by the cave to rest for the night, they somehow saw a bottle placed inside.

Fedel grabbed it and gave it to Vienna as a joke, but it was all to their surprise when a huge smoke appeared from inside. A shadow of a figure appeared, and a tall and darkly handsome man showed up.
Duke Raziel unsheathed his sword and pulled Vienna to the side, “What did you open?” He asked impatiently.
Vienna pouted, “I don’t know, Fedel gave it to me!”
Raziel sighed, “It’s a genie, be careful.”
Vienna raised her eyebrows, “A genie?”
The man stretched his arms out and faced them with a carefree look, “Ah, finally! I was sleeping for a hundred years now!”
Now that they could see him clearly, there’s no denying that he looks handsome with his purple hair and white eyes, and fair skin.
“You have one wish.” He said to Vienna and Vienna gulped nervously.
“Me?”
The genie nodded, “Yes? Aren’t you the one who called for me?”
Taking it as a chance, Vienna bit her lip, “lift his curse.” She said, pointing at the duke.
Raziel looked at her, “You could have asked to get Titus here.”
Vienna just shrugged, “Removing your curse is much harder and this is our priority in the first place.”
The genie puckered his lips, seemingly thinking but shaking his head, “No. This is too strong.”
The duke then blinked, looking at Duke Raziel and realizing he hit his face, “Oh, I know you.”
Raziel took a step forward, now interested. “Care to elaborate, Mr. Genie?”
“You’re cursed by Alexis. Seems you did something you shouldn’t have…Don’t you remember anything?”
Vienna looked at Raziel confusedly.
Raziel furrowed his eyebrows at the genie, confused even himself.
“Are you really saying the truth?” He asked.
Just then, Vienna sighed, sensing they have the mage in their company, “Delphian, show yourself. I know you’re there.”
Footsteps suddenly echoed and Delphian appeared, “You call, my lady?”
Vienna pointed at the genie, “Care to explain what is the genie saying?”
Delphian looked at the genie, “Oh, he said something about Duke Raziel? He seems to be right…”
Raziel instantly grabbed him by the collar and threatened, “So you knew something all along, care to tell me everything?”
Delphian smiled nervously, “Oh, I could, but it’s my teacher who knows the full details.”
Vienna stepped in, “What?”
With Raziel loosening his hold on him, Delphian gave a wide grin at them, “Yes, the strongest mage you’ve been looking for, the one who cursed the duke here, is my teacher.”
As soon as he said that, Lady Vienna felt suffocated by an unknown force, pulling her. She tried to scream, but she couldn’t find her voice.
A distant voice was calling her until she feels like blacking out and entering another dimension.
“Seems you finally reached this point, Lady Vienna.” Said a gruff voice through the darkness. “Welcome to my domain. This is a timeless place where we could have our nice little chat.”
Vienna stood still, waiting for something. She couldn’t even move her legs no matter how she tries.
There was a huge staircase, along with a high stool chair that sat a black and long-haired man.
He walked towards where Vienna was and when he got closer, Vienna felt like he was familiar.
He looked like Delphian, except with dark hair.
It’s him. Alexis. He doesn’t even have to introduce himself, it feels like Vienna already knows him.
“What? I thought you’ve been eager to meet me yourself.” He teased, grabbing her chin to make her look at him.
He then sniffed the air and chuckled, “Your heart is pounding, even if you're dead.”
Vienna’s thoughts ran with questions after questions. “W-what? Dead?”
Alexis laughed, caressing her cheeks, “Haha, this is the most exciting part for me. The revelation. Did he hide it from you? Or did he really lose his memory after I did the ritual?
