Chapter 83 The end of our journey
She heard her thoughts whispering to her. Those were the last words she ever expected to do, but having no choice, Lady Vienna slowly removed her hands that are only her lifeline now, and finally letting herself go, she watched as Ambrosia looked at what she did, not expecting her to do this.
Lady Vienna closed her eyes and let the smoke conceal her. This is the least expected way of dying for her. Of all the times she was faced with danger, this is the most ridiculous way of how dying for her.
She died because she gave up.
She waited for impact, to fall to the ground and let her bones break but in an instant, a sharp claw grabbed her shirt, and a pair of flapping wings, with the sharp gust of wind.
“Did you just let yourself die, Vienna? I won’t allow you to leave me easily.” Said a dark voice and her breath hitched, her heart drumming loudly just hearing him.
Raziel.
Lady Vienna couldn’t help but let the tears fall in her eyes. Duke Raziel dropped her off to safety and she watched as he blow fire to the Ambrosia, who was too stunned.
Duke Raziel then made sure to kill her this moment as he pushed him to the cliff and faced Vienna.
“Now that everything is settled-”
He couldn't even complete his sentence as Lady Vienna threw her hands on him, embracing him completely, “What took you so long? I thought you completely forgot me because of the timeframe and-”

She could hear his chest rumbling as he chuckled, “Didn’t you forget? I’ll always find you in every lifetime.”
She broke the hug and stared at him. “Is this really you? Or is Alexis playing me again?”
“It’s me, Vienna. It’s me. Relax, no one will ever dare to get in between us. I swear by my name.” He leaned in, softly resting his forehead on hers as he wiped away the tears in her eyes.
He then slowly pushed her away as he gazed at her, “Lady Vienna, I have been waiting for the perfect moment, and this might be it.”
“What are you-”
Kneeling down, Duke Raziel slowly removed his mask as he offered it to Lady Vienna, his red orbs staring at her and his raven hair now messy, “I loved you in every lifetime, and I always will. Lady Vienna “Estelle” Thaleia Xaviera, you can reincarnate into a butterfly, a flower, or anything that the mages or witches might think of cursing ys, but I’ll always find my way back to you.”
Lady Vienna watched in shock, her tears flowing earnestly again as she let him talk. Is this a dream? She pinched herself to make sure.
He then continued, “I’m willing to be the villain for you. I’m willing to gamble my destiny, take any curse, and even repeat any life cycle if it means staying with you for the rest of my life. So Lady Vienna, I will selfishly ask this in this lifetime. Will you be my wife?”
Lady Vienna cupped her face, covering her mouth as she stopped herself from shaking in joy, “But I believe I am already your wife, Duke Raziel Valen Donovan.”
He nodded, “Yes, but the last time I asked for your hand, is because I want you to be just my duchess. Today, I want you to be my wife for the rest of my life.”
Lady Vienna thought about it, wanting to say yes instantly but she smirked, “Stand up first.”
He did as she ordered and Lady Vienna threw herself to him again in an embrace, while maintaining eye contact. She grabbed his mask and put it on herself while leaning in and letting her lips answer his question. She smashed her lips against him, which took him by surprise.

And Duke Raziel accepted it.
Lady Vienna then broke the kiss after a few moments, “Is that enough as my answer?”
Duke Raziel smirked, shaking his head, “I believe I need more proof, my duchess.” And he was the one to continue their kiss. The sky has started to get clear, and the sun had completely set. And as the moon started to appear, Duke Raziel muttered in between kisses, “I love you every year, every season, every hour every moment, Vienna.”
Vienna can’t help but grin like a fool. Everything is too perfect, too perfect except the clapping of hands from somewhere. They both turned their heads to the source and saw Fedel, hanging by the tree, who was cheering for them, “Yes finally! Uhm, not to break your moment but I have been here for the past hours, Care to get me down?”
Duke Raziel scoffed and softly intertwined his hand to Lady Vienna’s, “No, you have to get down on yourself.”
Lady Vienna laughed, seeing Fedel in distress and how his master is poking fun at him.
But despite what Raziel said, he still helped him down, and together, they walked towards their carriage.
She spotted Titus waiting by the carriage and she let out a sigh in relief.
“Titus!”
“My lady!” Titus replied happily. “I’m glad you’re safe now!”
Everything is good now. Feeling her heart full, all those hardships, pain, and aches she endured were worth it after all.
“Let’s go now, Duchess Donovan. We have to deliver the news to your maid and my butler.” Duke Raziel said, offering his hand for her to accept as they enter the carriage.
“We’ll spread the news to the whole kingdom. Make sure to prepare the best wedding, Duke Donovan.” Lady Vienna smirked, booping his nose teasingly and Duke Raziel smirked.
“Only the best for my wife.”
THE END.
