The unknown places doesn't have a night so it was always a sunny day, for everyone a sunny day gave hope but for Scorch he feel like he is losing one, they are already in the last place but Veena is not awake yet and he didn't know what to do, the place is dark but he can see his reflection in the walls so it means that the walls are mirrors, Veena is still sleeping he guess that she is exhausted because of the past events that happened to the but he is wondering, did she saw something in her dreams too?
"Veena wake up please" he whispered while tapping her cheek, he hope that she will wake up because he knows that he can't do it alone, he needs Veena in this situation and most of all he needs her in his life but he can't say it in front of her, he is afraid to say it so he will show it
"Veena, Veena wake up" he said again when he notice that the mirrors are moving, he didn't know what he will do when Veena and him got separated again, now that he knew what he feels he didn't want her to disappear, he silently thanked the memories that are coming back to him because of those he will not figured out what he feels for Veena but at the same time he is afraid because they are not the same, she is a demon and he is an angel they are two things that cannot be mix together or else the past will repeat but with a twist.
"Veena wake up, I need you please" he whispered again and the mirrors move faster than before, he is a little bit sleepy because of the strength that the vines sip out of him earlier but he doesn't care they need to get out of this place fast
"Scared are we? " a voice of a woman said he look around but he can't see anyone except the mirrors that stop rotating
"Who are you? " he ask while looking around, he look at the mirrors one by one but saw no one except him and Veena who is sound asleep
"You can see me yet you didn't realize it" the voice said and the mirrors started to move again
"Stop playing with me, show yourself" Scorch bravely said but the voice just laugh
"You are entertaining my dear and I can sense your fear" the voice said and laugh again that makes Scorch to have cold sweats in his forehead,  he doesn't want to show that he is weak but his body is betraying him, maybe the guardians are always puting Veena in danger because they know that he is weak but he will not let them hurt her not now that he knows the truth
"What do you want?!"he said again
"I want you to feel the pain" the voice said but when Scorch was about to speak Veena open her eyes and sat beside him
"What happened? " she ask but the voice interrupted them
"Well well well, the princess is awake do you think that i will allow the two of you to enter the portal? " the voice said that makes Veena fume in anger
"Illusia" Veena said while her hands form into fist and Scorch hold her left hand to calm her down
"Oh my, it's the demon of death, what a surprise to see you here my dear" the voice said and a woman suddenly appear in the mirror in front of them, the woman's body have mirror pieces in it and the clothes she wear only covering her private parts, her hair is white, long and straight it almost kiss the ground, her eyes are made of glass too while her ears are long and have pointy end, her fingers are also thrice the size of normal fingers, she looks like she came from the outer space.
"You know her? " Scorch whispered to Veena after they stand up
"She is a half demon half witch she plays with everyone's memories and if she is not having fun anymore she will trap the soul into the memories and she will burn the bodies so can't soul can't go back, she trapped them inside those mirrors" Veena explained while whispering too, Scorch got shocked but he still composed himself and tried to look calm
"Mind to share what the two of you are talking about? Hmm? " Illusia ask while walking into one mirror to another
"Well I was telling him of how b*tch you are and how ugly you are" Veena sassily said that makes Scorch smirk in his mind
"You are such a disrespectful woman! "Illusia said and disappeared then the mirrors move faster and faster that makes Scorch dizzy
"What is happening?! " Scorch almost shouted because the mirrors are making
"I'm just making this journey to go faster because when she talk, she will not stop" she said and little by little they are disappearing that makes Scorch nervous
"uhm..... Veena I don't think it is a good idea? " Scorch said and look into his hands that are slowly fading
"Scorch remember this, don't believe in everything that you will see and hear, be strong emotionally don't let your fear eat you" Veena said and look at him then she smile and slowly they fade away
When Scorch open his eyes, he saw that he is in a field that is surrounding by trees and when he look in front of him he saw Elena but something was off
"Alston let's go home" and he is right she is not Elena because she is Christine, this is not just an ordinary dream because Christine is really talking to him
"What's wrong?  Are you alright? " she said again and when Scorch was about to talk a voice interrupted him
"No he is going with me" Veena or Crystal said and offer her hand but Christine do the same
"Come with me" Christine and Crystal said at the same time, Scorch didn't know what to do, he shook his head and run but it seems like the two are following because he saw them at a tree every time he look, when he is finally in the lake he felt odd because the two didn't follow him, he look at the lake but it started to get hot few sweats are already dripping from his forehead he look around and that the trees are burning but something caught his attention and that is Crystal tied in a tree and her body is on fire, Scorch run towards her.
"Alston, my love" Crystal whispered and slightly smiled to him, the ropes got burned so Crystal walk towards him while her body is still on fire
"Come with me love, we will be together forever" she said while smiling but it actually made him step back, he doesn't want to be there but he got no choice  they need to pass this situation so they can see the portal
"Alston let's go home, our parents are waiting" another voice said and when he look beside Crystal he saw Christine walking towards him too
And he knew that he needs to choose between Crystal and Christine so he will know how to get out of that place, choosing is not easy especially when you are choosing between your lover and your family he doesn't want to choose but it seems like he doesn't have a choice, he may look like a fool but he doesn't want to choose all he wants is Veena, the Veena that he met in a complicated time, the Veena that will help him to go back to Earth, when he was about to choose Crystal and Christine turns into ashes and that's how he saw the smoke that helped him find Veena on the maze of death, suddenly his head hurts so he close his eyes.
Scorch heard some birds chirping so he open his eyes but got shock when he saw a ceiling, he look around him and saw that he is in a small room so be sat in the bed thinking on what have happen until the door open and it reveal Crystal holding a glass of water
"You're awake" she said and walk towards him then she sat in the bed
"Drink this, I know you are thirsty" she added and offer the water to him and when he was about to take the water, he remember the things that Veena said to him
"Scorch remember this, don't believe in everything that you will see and hear, be strong emotionally don't let your fear eat you"
Those are the things that Veena said to him before she disappeared, Scorch put his hand down and look away to Crystal
"What's wrong Alston? " Crystal said but he only stand up and walk out of the door without saying anything, he doesn't want to look in Crystal's eyes because he only see Veena, he doesn't want to have a mistake, he doesn't want to take the water because he didn't know what is going to happen if he did not when he came out of the cabin the place is different yet it is so familiar he look back but the cabin is not there anymore.
"Scorch? " someone said so he look at the stairs where the voice came from and he saw the Elena, she run towards him and hug him tight
"Where did you go? I was so scared" Elena said and sob in his shoulders but he just remove Elena's arms that are encircled to him
"Veena please help me" he whispered that makes Elena look at him weirdly
"Who's Veena?And help you to what? " Elena said while looking at him, she really sounds like Elena and look like Elena he look outside and saw the street and the house in front of Elena's house, he ask himself  ' I am back to earth? ' but of course he doesn't have an answer to that,  Elena hold his hand and drag him to sit in the couch
"You know maybe you are just hallucinating,Wait" she said and walk into the kitchen and when she come out she have a class of water in her hand
"Drink this so you will stop day dreaming" she said and laugh but there is something in her laugh that makes him nervous
"You are almost gone for a month did you know that? I felt so scared when those creatures chased me" Elena said
"I'm sorry if I'm not there to protect you" he said and gave Elena an apologetic smile that Elena have return
He knows that he is not talking to the real Elena but instead he feels like he is talking to a monster that pretend to be Elena but internally Scorch is already screaming Veena's name because he knew that something was wrong and it will never be fixed when Veena is not there anymore, his situation is getting harder and harder when Elena offer the water again, he shook his head and the smile in Elena's face slowly faded away
"Drink this" she said and offer the water again
"I will drink that later" he said after he shook his head then he look around the house because he doesn't want to look into Elena's face
"Drink. This. Water. Now" Elena said while emphasizing every words and glaring at Scorch
"No thanks I'm actually not thirsty" he said and stand up that makes Elena stand up too while still glaring at him and now he confirmed that this is not Elena and he is not on earth, all of this are just tricks that Illusia is playing and he will not let her win, he can't
"I need to go now" he said and when he was about to go out the door
"Nooo!!!" Elena shouted but it's voice is different, when he look back he saw how it's face melt and reveal a two bull headed creature then they grow like seven to eight feet tall, their bodies are full of muscles and spikes trace their backbone, they also have big axes
"Oh no" that the only thing that Scorch said when the two creatures run towards him

Flowers, that's what Veena only see, a place full of different kinds of flowers yet she knows that it is only a way to trick her mind but because she knew Illusia so she will not believe in anything and she knew that she can overcome her fears if Illusia decided to show it, a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around her waist that makes her scared but she eventually calm down
"What's the matter Crystal? " she heard a man said so she look at him and saw Scorch but why did call her Crystal?
"Crystal let's go home maybe you are tired" the man said and he was about to take her hand but she his it behind her
"Who are you? " she said and the man look at her with a confused face
"I'm Alston remember, you know maybe you are tired, let's go home" Alston said again then turn around and walk thinking that she is following him, Veena didn't know how Illusia found out about Crystal and Alston but now she believe that her ability is strong because she manage to clear his face but Veena still don't get it, She and Crystal, Scorch and Alston are all the same?  If they are the same one question is still left hanging into her mind, who is Christine?
Veena didn't follow Alston instead she kick his back but that didn't make Alston fall down instead he turn around to face her with a smirk plastered on his face and that makes Veena realize her mistake, Alston's body suddenly melt and it reveal a carabao head creature with vines all over it's body, she look into it's hand and saw that it have a long dark poisonous chain, she tried to summon her sword and she did it meaning that her strength is back, the creature wave it's chain towards her but she just dodge it with her sword, she spread her wings and fly towards the creature but the creature use the vines into it's body to create a pair of wings and fly to fight her, she swing her sword to hit it's stomach but the creature's chain turn into a huge sword and hit her indicating that it wants to cut her into half but Veena fly down before the huge sword hit her then she went into the creatures back and hit it but before she hit it the creature disappeared and it appears behind her then punch her back, she fell into the ground because of the force, the creature aim it's sword to her while falling down so she get up and aim her sword into the creature, when their distance are so close she teleported behind the creature and cut the creature into half, it's body burned and turns into ashes then Veena's vision suddenly went black so she close her eyes and when she open it she saw mirrors in front of her, she look behind her and saw Scorch that is sweating but his eyes are close, she went in front of him and started calling his name.
"Scorch! Scorch! " Veena said while shaking him but he didn't move
"Tsk tsk your time is running out, you only have fifteen minutes before the portal disappear" She heard Illusia said and she touch Scorch forehead then close her eyes

Veena open her eyes and she immediately saw the two bull headed creatures that is attacking Scorch while he is just dodging every attack so Veena guess that he is still weak, she summon her sword again and attack the creatures
"Veena!" Scorch happily shouted while looking at her, she was dodging the attacks and at the same time aiming her sword in one of the creatures head where their heart is located, it is weird but true because this two bull headed creatures brain is located into their chest so if she hit their chest they are not going to die but it will be enough for them to be paralyzed for a few seconds only.
Scorch suddenly got hit by the ax of one of the creature and he hit the wall
"Scorch! Aahh! " Veena shouted but one of the creature hit her by the stomach and she fell into the ground bleeding, even if she is weak because of her wound she still manage to burn the two creatures by just looking at them then she stand up whole holding her stomach using her left hand and went to Scorch direction and she crouched down to face him, he is conscious yet weak he also have a big bruise in his right arm and shoulder
"Scorch can you still hear me?" She said while holding his cheek using her right hand, Scorch look at her and nodded
"You are wounded" he whispered while looking at her
"It's nothing, we have to go back our time is running" she said but Scorch just look at her until Scorch remember something that the eldest healer told him once
Flashback
"Us angels have an incredible kind of healing process that we can share into other creatures" the eldest healer said
"May I ask what is it? " Scorch ask
"By transferring the energy though our mouth, it is the most effective way"
"You mean a kiss? " Scorch ask with a widen eyes
"Yes"
End of flashback
Veena was about to turn around but Scorch hold her in the nape and pull her closer then their lips touch and Veena feels like there's an electric that flows into their lips, Scorch transfer the energy that he saved for Veena and they didn't notice that the place is fading, they let go of each other but Scorch is still looking at  Veena while Veena look away, she notice that her stomach was healed same with Scorch
"We're back" Veena said and look around but the mirrors are already breaking and they can hear Illusia screaming in pain
"What's happening? " Scorch said
"I don't know, the portal! " Veena said when she saw the portal is already closing she look at Scorch and hold his hand, then they run together and jump inside, the portal emits a blinding light then the mirrors broke, Illusia turn into ashes and the souls go back to the place where they truly belong.
