Chapter 58 Behind His Gestures
Sean Elijah Dela Fuente's P.O.V (Part 5) • April 10, 2020
I heard a knock from my unit's door. It must be Arabella Rielle. I bought a condo near Rielle's to make sure that she'll be safe. And I can have access and also to protect of her. I opened the door and smirk when I saw her already prepared and looking gorgeous as always.
But her reaction...was priceless. My grin widens as I saw her bit her lips as she looked down to my body. Oh. I forgot that I was about to get into shower. As our eyes met, her cheeks blushed making me chuckle.
“U-uh, you ready?” she asked. She entered my condo and settled herself in the living room.
“I'll just take a shower.”
“Okay.”
“You want to join?” I smirk. I received a glare from her. I just chuckled and went to the bathroom. It took me about ten minutes before I finished. I just saw her reading my files about a lady named Leia Verlieno.
“Sorry for the mess,” I uttered and smiled at her. “You're checking me out, huh? Do you have a crush on me, Arabella Rielle?”
“Of course not. You're good looking but not my type,” she said making me looked away as my smirk vanished.
If I know, you still like me.
“Tsk, let's go.” I went out of the condo first. I can hear her laughter as we got inside the elevator. “Why are you smiling like that?” I asked. She's making fun of me.
“Nothing.” She shrugged.
“Tsk. You liar,” I whispered. We planned to buy groceries and I was on lead. She's just laughing while following me as if there's something amusing. She asked me everything I like and she will get it for me. We settled everything and payed for it.
I went out of the mall first as I brought the groceries to my car when I felt that Rielle's not with me. My heart pounded heavily. What the? Where is that lady?
I went back inside only to see her alone in the middle of the crowd. She was looking for something, or perhaps, someone.
“The h*ll, Arabella Rielle! Where did you go?” I asked, almost shouting. “I thought I lost you.”
“Huh? I was following you when I bumped into someone.”
I furrowed as I followed where she's looking at. “Did you know him? Is he familiar to you?”
Sh*t?! They are starting again! I need to get her out of here. She needs to be in our safe house for the meantime.
We walked back to my car and drove away from Madrigal's Tower. I called my gang one by one to send back-up when I heard gunshots from the outside. It was the goons their motorcycle bikes.
I hissed a curse as I saw someone following us. This day was supposed to be a peaceful day but The Hawk's goons are after us. I should have know that they're still into Rielle. They want to get her, but I won't allow them.
I told Rielle to calm down first before I maneuvered my car away from them. Denver and Rash will take care of it. In three, two, one... We instantly heared a loud bang! I smirk as Denver salute at me.
“Serves them right,” I uttered with a chuckle and continued driving. I glanced to check on Rielle and our eyes met. “Now, I'll keep you safe from them. Trust me, my lady.”

She was safe with us. She already knows my co-members and she already got close with Daniel and Denver. She's with The Falcon, the whole day. She even tease Rash who's not in the mood right now. And it was because of her sister.
And as expected from him, he didn't pass this through. Rielle and him argued. William even joined. And Matthew, the m*therf*cker who's Rielle's crush (based from Daniel), was just smiling while looking at her.
He noticed my glares at him which he just shrugged off. He knows that Rielle's my girl. It's our bro code. I just can't stand seeing him with Rielle especially when I saw them embraced in the kitchen.
I don't understand myself. I felt like he's taking my property away from me. I just want to punch his face. He's a threat to me.
“U-oh. Someone's jealous, huh?”
I even heard Daniel said that but I don't care and walked out. Jealous, my ass! I don't have the right to be jealous! It's a slap to my face that she's not mine eventhough I am always claiming it to myself.
I need to ease my mind. This feeling is very confusing. Before, this is about owning her, but now, it's worse. It making me hard to breathe. Just by seeing Rielle with other guys make me want to hide her away from them. But I won't do that.
I received a call from an acquaintance from work. She has the same field with mine. But then, she asked me to help her. I can decline but when she mentioned the only name that makes me pissed off, I agreed immediately.
It was already quarter to four but I still fetched her from the airport. She has too much luggage with her. We were on the car as she keeps on talking about this 'guy' she likes.
“You really like that d*ckh*ad?” I immediately wince in pain when she throw me her phone. Sh*t! My head hurts! I glared at her but she just rolled her eyes.
“Matthew's not like that! He's sweet and a serious type, but also playful one...” I breathe out as she continue telling me about him. It took hours to get into the safe house. I didn't sleep that much.
“This is the last time that I'll help you,” I muttered as we're already at the safehouse. She didn't go out of the car first and laughed at me.
“Yeah, yeah! This is too much help!” She give me a peck on my cheek. “Who's the unlucky girl, huh?”
She knew, huh? Perks of being a spy.
I shook my head and she went out of my car. She went inside first as I got her luggages with me. Aside from Matthew, Zerra has other reasons to why she's here.
She just want to get close to Matthew. It's good that she's here. Zerra will also be a big help to me to get Matthew's attention and diverted it away to Rielle. A win-win situation.
I entered and noticed Daniel, Denver and William with Rielle standing in front Zerra. They looked shocked especially Daniel. While Rielle immediately looked away when our eyes met. She turned around, but I want to see her real reaction.
“This is my girlfriend, Zerra Faye Quintos.” I muttered but Rielle walked inside the kitchen. I received a punch from Zerra and she glared at me.
“What was that? You mean-y!” She flipped her hair and also turn her back from me. But then, Matthew was already in front of her. I didn't give a d*mn to them. I left the living room and Zerra's luggages and just followed Rielle to the kitchen. She wasn't here.
I went to the backyard and I saw her talking to his brother. I heard their conversation. And I saw how Rash confronted William and them knowing the truth that they are siblings.
Arabella Rielle is the long-lost half-sister of the Ferrers. 'Some' of what William told her was not the truth. Rash also knew that but he let the Riveras find the whole truth themselves.
It broke Rielle's heart. Again. She looks so lost as she locked herself inside the room. I can't even help her. And the last thing I remember was her packing things while Denver is stopping me to get close to her. I glared at him but he shook his head as if he knew something.
“What are you doing, Rielle? Why are you packing?”
“She needs to leave, Dela Fuente,” Matthew said. I pursed my lips as I looked at him. “You know that, right?”
“What? Is this because of what I said to her that morning?” I shook my head. “No. No. We can talk about it again. She'll stay here. She's safe here.”
It was not just the right time to tell her about my feelings. I don't want to be her burden again. I'm trying to help her being her friend. But it seems like she misunderstood everything.
“You can't just keep her, Elijah. You chose this, so let her go.” Denver said.
“Shut up!” I hissed. Why does he needs to be here? His presence make it more complicated.
But I can't stop her. She already decided.
“Rielle... Stop this. I'm sorry. Please...” I don't care if my friends are watching us. I don't want to experience this again. She already did this before. “Don't do this again. I can't bear you getting away from my grip. Don't do this. Don't leave.”
“Let go of me, Elijah.”
And those words made me stop. I was so tired that night that my grip loosened. Her eyes, it's breaking me into pieces. As I looked at her blue ocean orbs, it reminds me of herself crying and begging for me to accept her. To love her. The same emotions were in her blue orbs when I rejected her years ago.
And she left. Again. I tried to stop her from leaving but a part of me understand her. She needs this space and I will give her that.
I was devastated, just like before. I have informations about Rielle's whereabouts. She's with her brothers. But I don't have the guts to show myself to her.
“You look f*cked up, dude,” Denver said.
“F*ck off!” I muttered and drink a bottle of wine. I need to keep sane. Soon enough, Rash will call us to follow them. That's my only reason to why I will go back to Manila.
The city where it all begun. Where Rielle and I met.
“Jake's with them.” Matthew showed up with Zerra's computer. She's been with us to help communicate with Kian Forthaliez, Jake Hart's secretary.
“I'll go.” I stood up but I received a look from them. “What?”
“You sure about that? You'll go back?” Denver chuckled. He knew that I don't want to stay in Manila because of what happened years ago.
“Let him.” I felt Zerra's hand on my shoulder and she gently tap it. I nodded as she smiled at me. She understands my situation. “What are you looking at, Guerera?” she asked Matthew. The latter just rolled hi eyes.
I smirk before I prepared everything. It took more than an hour to get to their location. I was welcomed by Mrs. Rivera, former Mrs. Ferrer. She knows me which made me shock. But I was surprised when I saw Rielle but sh just left after a short greeting.
