Sean Elijah Dela Fuente's P.O.V (Part 7) • October 14, 2020
I groaned as I moved my body. I opened my eyes and noticed that I was in an unfamiliar room covered with white paint all over the four corners of the wall. I arched my back but the pain worsen making someone cussed. I looked around only to see my friends sitting on the couch. They look calm and composed as they eyed me with a stoic face.
I was wondering why they are here. They are busy and they're unusually quiet right now. Even Daniel who's the loudest of us is just eating an apple. Denver who sat on my bed just nodded with his arms crossed. The Ferrer twins are here too. I wanted to ask them what just happened when there were doctors came in to assist me. They let my friends stay while also explain that they'll run some test.
“What happened?” I spoke after the doctor examined me. William went out with the doctor to further ask about my case. “Where's Rielle?”
“She's with Jake and Kian right now,” Daniel uttered, standing up from the sofa.
I balled my hand into fist and cussed loudly. F*ck them all! Did our plan just backfired or what? Are there any progress? What will Jake do to Rielle? I don't trust him!
I heaved a sigh and groaned after when I felt my back hurts. Sh*t! I need to see her! Jake will do something to Arabella Rielle.
“Calm down first, the doctor won't allow you to go.” Denver then pointed my back. “You need to rest.” He eyed my wounds that were covered with bandages. This sure is a lot.
I heaved a deep sigh. “H-how will I calm down, s-she's in d-danger.”
Rash stood in front of me. He was actually glaring at me. “We'll find them,” he uttered. “Zerra already got their location.”
“As expected,” Matthew commented. Daniel teased him before he looked at me.
“She got the tracking device, remember? You gave it to her.”
Oh. The necklace... Right.
“What should be our next move?” I muttered as I slowly calm down. I need to be composed in this kind of situation. I need to think clearly.
“As what is planned.”
“Still ongoing?” I asked.
“Yes, the plan B,” Dash muttered as he walks towards me and handed me an envelope. “She's taken well enough. It looks like we have time to lure them.”
I glanced at the envelope and slowly opened it. These were the files that we needed to lure The Hawks out. A smirk crept on my lips as I read every details. “Nice.”
“Yeah, we just needed the last part of that piece and we're off to go.” Matthew muttered making me look at him.
“Where are the others?” I asked.
“Cleaning,” Denver said and showed me his phone. It showed pictures of Zaine and his others employees. I cussed when I saw civilians from Madrigal's Resort were injured. One of them is Kian's sister. “They did everything to destroy it just so they can take Rielle with them.”
“Let me talk to Zerra,” I said and sighed. She knows where my girlfriend is. I need to work. I don't care if I am injured or what. Most importantly, I need resources to find her. And only Zerra can help me.
“Why are you looking for her?” Matthew glared at me. I smirk as I saw that familiar glint on his eyes.
Zerra succeeded, huh?
“Of course, she knows where Rielle is. She doesn't want tell us and she asked for you to wake up first.” Daniel explained as he call someone via phone call.
“Tsk.” I want to laugh at Matthew's face. Deserve.
“How long did I stay here?” I asked as soon as I relaxed my back. I glared at them when no one spoke.

“Two weeks,” Rash answered and fake a cough. What's wrong with him?
“Ah..” I scratched my eyebrows and looked at Denver.
“Rielle's fine. She's with an ally.” Denver looked serious when he glanced at me. “She's been communicating with me and tells what happening to them. As of now, they're at the mansion that Jake owned.”
“Who's ally? Sharmienne?” I furrowed but he shook his head.
“Her name is Liene. She's a spy.” I nodded and completely muttered a cuss when Rielle's face was all I can remember. Her eyes when she looked at me with shredded tears. It was very painful to see.
“I'm still worried,” I mumbled. I glanced at my friends who has stoic faces when I said that. They're also affected. This is not just about the gangs' war, but also with personal motives indicated. All of us went through hell with The Hawk.
“We'll infiltrate their mansion and save them.”
“Hell, yeah. He mess up with our princess.”
“They've gone too far. There's no way they will escape.”
“We already have a back-up.”
I nodded as they spoke in unison. I trust them about this. We planned this for a long time. And the wait is over. Few hours from now and we'll have the justice we need.
The Hawk caused the chaos that happens to implicate innocent civilians. They're the one who make people suffer. Not just in the country. They're unstoppable, as what Rielle told me before. But here we are, The Falcon, still keep on stopping them.
Jake Leonardo Hart is the successor of their gang. That means even when he dies, someone will take over his place. Even with that thought makes them impossible to infiltrate. But as Dash said, we're the one to stop them one way or another.
Soon enough, Zerra came in with her laptop. She smiled at me and hugged me tightly makings my back hurt again.
“Oh, sorry,” she muttered when she saw my expression. “I just miss you, bud.” She caressed my cheeks. I carefully nodded. “I have my partner again.” She's pertaining as 'partners at work' but it seems like someone didn't like what Zerra said.
“Tsk. What a scene.” Matthew suddenly left us and slammed the door closed, making everyone stunned.
“Jealous 2.0.” Daniel chuckled as he followed Matthew a look. I just shook my head.
“Hmm, immature assh*le.” Zerra rolled her eyes and handed the laptop on me. I muttered thanks and eagerly opened it.
I started working again, finding routes and locations that we needed to get there. The location is surrounded by water. Tall grasses covering the mansion making it looks like there's nothing else in that island.
“Kian took Rielle's necklace. He knew that Jake will have an idea if he saw it.” I stopped from typing on my laptop as I stared at her. “Found it!” Zerra exclaimed making everyone looked at her. “But Kian helped hack the CCTV. Now, we can see what's happening inside.” She smirked after.
On the screen are maids walking back and forth as they clean the mansion. They look so busy yet only one of them looks suspicious. She has this gray eyes as she casual roamed her eyes around. Then she saw the CCTV on the living room and flashed a smile making Denver fretful. It seems like she knows we're watching.
“She's Liene,” Denver smirk as he looks amused. “What a beauty.”
I shook my head at him. My eyes suddenly darted at someone who's walking downstairs. I can clearly see her face and I'm sure it's her.
“Rielle...”
But then I was worried when she suddenly went back upstairs. Especially to the bathroom of her room. There's also a CCTV there? Tsk.
She looks sick and pale. She's throwing up as if she ate something bad. I furrowed when it's not normal already. It took her a long time in the bathroom. A maid went inside to help her.
“What's wrong with Rielle?” Denver asked as he focused his eyes on the screen.
“Is she...” Zerra trailed of before she glanced at me. She looks serious. I furrowed my brows at her. “..Pregnant?”
My lips parted but I don't know what to say. My eyes fixed on the screen of Zerra's laptop before I concluded something. I remembered... I came inside and we did 'it' more than once. Is she really having our baby?
There's something in me that felt warmth with that thought. A smile plastered on my lips that can't seem to be removed. I'm still not sure if she really is pregnant. But I hope she is. I will be very glad to be the father of our child.
But I just got worried even more of her. If she's having our baby, I should move. We should move. There's a high chance that she's with our baby and it's dangerous for her.
Daniel announced everything that made Rash and Dash stood up from their sit. They both glared at me first before they casually planned our mission.
“We'll do this tonight. Guard the area, both of you,” Rash muttered. We nodded as he started giving instructions.
The next few hours are hellish for us. We're already in our headquarters. We're off to go when we received a message from Kian. It was actually a photo of Rielle kissed by Jake in front of everyone.
My blood boils with the sight of it. I just felt myself punching everything I see and my co-members let me. Even Zerra didn't interfere.
“D*mn it! You'll regret this, Jake!” I threw a punch on the vase I saw. My fists were already soak with my own blood. Denver immediately covered it with a cloth before we went to the helicopter.
“Don't waste you energy over that scumbag,” he uttered. “He'll received what he deserves.”
There are helicopters provided for us by our co-members. Some were even from the National Army. We're waiting for Mr. Ferrer and his orders. While Denver who's beside me started treating my wounds.
“How's Carmienne's sister?” I asked. “She's also there too?”
Denver glared at me. “Why are you asking?”
I chuckled. “For safety purposes, dude.” I tapped his shoulder afterwards. He dismissed my question and didn't look at me.
I saw Zerra coming towards us. She's with the Ferrer twins. Rash and Dash will be with us in the same helicopter. While Zerra won't come as she's entrusted to look after us. She's in charge of the routes that we will take. She glanced at my fists and shook her head. Then she looked up to me.
“Here.” Zerra handed me a pair of blue contact lens. I shook my head. I always wear contact lens when I'm on a mission. I don't want anyone to see my real eye color. Only those who knows me can see them. Just for anonymity.
“I wanted to see Rielle with my real eyes.” I smirk which made Denver scoffed.
“Whipped.”
“Okay. Take care.” Zerra smiled before he went to the next helicopter to bid goodbye to others.
Denver who was beside answered a phone call. He has a bothered expression before he glanced at me and give me his phone. I stared at it. Unknown number. I tapped the answer button and a familiar voice was what we heard.
“You want to hear Rielle's voice?” It was Jake.
“You j*rk! Get off me! Assh*le!” Then it was followed with Rielle's voice. It sounds so weak yet she's trying to be strong. I muttered a cussed that alerted the Ferrer twins.
“A-arabella R-rielle...” I just felt my hand trembling. I can hear her whimpers on the other line. It's my weakness. D*mn it. Denver manage to hold the phone for me.
“E-elijah...” Her sobs make me closed my eyes. Sh*t! I'm so weak. I can't even protect her properly. I let her be in this situation.
“F*ck it! Are you okay, Rielle?” I asked as I felt Rash tapped my shoulder. It's as if he's signalling me to continue. “Just wait, love...”
I don't care if Jake's with her and he hears me. All I want is to assure Rielle that we will come to save her.
After half an hour, we already took off. I was silent the whole ride. I couldn't think straight of what will happen after this. Will we succeed? But what's important to me is to save her and the others.
We're about to land safely when we heard a loud bang from the mansion. From afar, I could already see it burning from the inside. It was caused by the loud explosion earlier. The maids run outside while there are 'The Hawk's' goons aiming their gun at us. F*ck it. What the h*ll?
As the helicopter landed, we ready ourselves and immediately search the whole place. We saw Rielle with Sharmienne and the others. They were surrounded but I even got amazed how Rielle confidently fired bullets towards their opponent. It's my first time seeing her with a gun and she's incredibly good.
We immediately went near them and assisted them to the helicopter. Liene and Sharmienne looked traumatized seeing the burning mansion in front of them.
“Arabella Rielle...” I mumbled as soon as embraced her tightly. She sobs as she looks down.
Dash and Denver assisted them. Denver holding the Carmienne's baby and Dash holding Liene. While some of my friends went near us.
“You should bring them out of here,” Rash said.
“Where's Jake?” Denver asked.
“We can't find him. We need to extinguish the fire as soon as possible. As of now, we're reporting everything to Dad.” Rash uttered.
“Rielle.”
William called his sister and Rielle nodded at him. He's with Kian who's badly injured.
“Kian needs medical attention.” She let go of my embraced. I looked at her but she just showed me her smile, a sad one. She kiss my cheeks first before she went to Sharmienne.
“We'll give an update,” Rash said to me. I nodded before he hugged her sister. “It's good to see you looked fine, Rielle.”
“R-rash...”
“Shh, baby sis. You're safe now.”
“How about Jake? Is he still alive?” I asked. He escaped, that's for sure. He's like a cat with nine lives.
“He already left with Carmienne, that's for sure. Kian sabotage Jake's plan before he could kill everyone here. Jake is a psycho, Rielle. Nobody knows what's running on his mind.”
We got back and Rielle stayed at the hospital to have an immediate medical care. I was worried about her and the others. Most are badly injured.
She looked after them especially Kian who's in coma right now. I was about to feel jealous when I heard from Rielle that she was saved by him. He was the reason why they escaped from that mansion. Jake really intended to kill them there.
While I stayed with her. Sometimes, I'll just be in her room as she took care of everyone here. She's really worried of them.
It's been two days since we were here. I sighed when she asked to go to Sharmienne's room. I'm alone again. We didn't talk that much after what happened. But I understand her though.
I was in her room and tried to sleep on the couch when I felt someone caressing my cheeks. I know it's her.
“Rielle..”
“You can go back to your car. I just need to wait for the doctor to know the results of some tests they've conducted.” I shook my head as she said that. Instead, I pulled her to sit on my lap as I hold her waist. She was facing me that I noticed her blushing because of our position.
“I'll wait,” I mumbled and planted soft kisses on her neck. D*mn! I miss her. I embraced her closer to me and smiled when I smell her scent. It's very addicting. “I miss you, love.”
“E-elijah, your wounds.” I reminded him.
She pulled me closer and pinched my cheeks. She played with my face until she leaned forward for a kiss and I deepened it. She groaned and was about to kiss back too when I heard someone knocked on the door.
I smirk as I saw Rielle's look right now. She's still beautiful even with her messy hair. I laughed when she glared at me.
The doctor entered with a smile on her face. She looked at us. “I already have the results, Ms. Rivera. You have nothing to worry. You're perfectly fine. Just put ointments on your wounds and it will heal with continuous treatments.” She smiled after. “Take good care of yourself, okay?”
“Thank you, doc.” I was just holding her waist as Rielle spoke to the doctor. I already take note of what the doctor said.
“Before I forgot... I just want to congratulate you. You're three weeks pregnant, Ms. Rivera.”
I looked at the doctor with widened eyes. She was looking at me when she said that. Wait what? Is that intended for me? Huh? Oh? Ms. Rivera? Wait... Rielle?
I was still preoccupied while the doctor advice us everything that we need. I expected this... But I'm not a hundred percent sure though. It's just a hunch. But d*mn! I'm already a father!
“R-rielle... I'm going to be a dad, right?”
She nodded as tears started falling down her cheeks. I wiped it slowly before kissing her forehead. I then knelt down and hugged her waist and kiss her tummy where our baby is.
“I will take care both of you... I love you.”
I FELT REALLY embarrassed in front of her mother. She came in a while ago and just ask random things.
“Uh, ma'am, well... I am quite fine now.”
She's a caring mother. Rielle got her beauty too. I smiled shyly as I remembered her from someone. I dreamt to have a mother like her. But I wasn't lucky to have one as she left us too early.
“Cut the formality, Eli. You looked tensed. Call me, auntie or mom. You choose.” Rielle's mom said.
“Yes, m-mommy.”
F*ck! I even stuttered. It was a long time since I called someone like that. It feels strange yet at the same time painful.
“I will leave my daughter to you, okay? Please take care of her especially now that she's pregnant. You have my blessing.”
She approved! I smiled and thanked her. She bid goodbye and left us.
“Your mom is really cool.” I muttered while Rielle just nodded.
We spent the next few months together. We visited my father who's glad that I'm really serious with my relationship with Rielle. He was happy that he'll be having a grandchild.
And as for Selena, she's the most excited. She was the one who told our relatives about my relationship with Rielle. And grandpa Elias send his regards to us.
I felt very happy as we drove home. But as soon as the elevator opened, I saw a familiar face that I don't want to see anymore. I buried her memories with us. She doesn't need to showed herself here again and ruined everything. Especially my family.
She was waiting in front of my unit as William was beside her. It looks like he helped her be here. My friends doesn't know about this, not even Denver.
Or maybe, I was wrong. Maybe I told them about my childhood when I was drunk. I don't know.
I just ignore her but Rielle stopped me. She let my mother inside my unit and talk to her. While I was just here, calming myself.
“What are you doing here?” I asked my mom.
“I want to see you,” Mom uttered.
“Why? You think you have the rights to see us again after what you did to your own family?”
“Sean Elijah...” Rielle whispered as she holds my hand.
“I know I don't have... I am just here to congratulate you. Someone tol—”
“Who?”
“You don't need to know.”
“Ah, I know. You're with your second husband.”
It was my only reason why I joined the gang. It was for her. I let myself be drowned with my goals of finding her. I was indenial when I said that I don't want to see her again.
But even after years, I've sbeen longing for her love.
“I have my reasons, Eli...”
“Don't bother telling me. I don't care anymore.
You left us, mom. You f*cking left when we needed you the most. I lost my father. I can feel his presence but he wasn't the one I've been with. He already changed because of you!”
“I'm sorry... Sorry, son. I'm sorry.” She was sobbing. And it's more painful to see her like this.
“Just... please. Leave.” She stood up as she wiped her face. She slowly left as Rielle assisted her. And for the first time, I went out of rage in front of Rielle. “Argh! F*ck! Sh*t! D*mn!”
“S-sean... Everything will be fine.” I heard Rielle's soothing voice. It calms me down. She lets me shows my weakness. Only I can show her my vulnerable side.
“I can't face her... I can't... I'm sorry. I can't hold this anymore. It's still hurt even how many years have passed.”
All I know is that I'm inside her embrace. She keeps me stable. She stayed beside me.
“Ask everything, Arabella Rielle.”
I know she eagerly want to know everything about me. So I let her. I told her everything. I reassured her and confirmed everything that's bugging her mind.
“Just let her explain her side first. Then you'll decide... You saw her scars and bruises earlier, right?” I nodded. I saw that also and I can't help but to think where did she get that.
“We don't have the slightest idea what really happened to her and where did she got that. I hope you will give her a chance to explain. I'm saying this because I want you to have the peace of mind that you've wanted. You've been asking questions to why she abandoned you... All your questions will be answer by your mother only.”
I'm thankful that Rielle's with me. Always. She guides me to what path that I need to choose. She always keep me close to her. And hearing her advices to me keep me somehow at ease. She's right. I need to settle this, once and for all.
I met with my mother in a restaurant. She's with my father and my younger sister, Selene. What a reunion.
I smirk as I kissed my sister's head. She looks sleep deprived as she glanced at me. I can feel her hands trembling. I hold her hands as I sat beside her while we're facing our parents.
“Speak.” I was the one who broke the silent.
“Elijah.” Dad warned me. I scoff and didn't let myself be intimidated. My dad is my idol since I was a kid. It just makes sense to why I 'was' a playboy too.
“I was kidnapped by this so called gang. And for me to be released, I need to marry one of their enemies.” She spoke. I furrowed before I looked at dad. He was just quiet. “And your father doesn't know about this.”
“Your father is their next target that time. And since I don't want to keep your father in danger, I let them. I married their enemy.”
“They faked my annulment with your father. He didn't know everything. He just took care with the both of you. While I left without trace.”
“I did that to protect you... You're still young and I can't keep you with me... I'm sorry.”
“H-how...” Selene stuttered upon looking at our mother. “H-how did you escaped from them?”
“Mr. Ferrer infiltrate that gang's headquarters and saved me.”
Mr. Ferrer?
“The Ferrer twins digged further information this gang and they found out to be dissolved now.” Dad interfere making my face furrowed.
“It's because of Mr. Rivera and his group.”
Mr. Rivera? Rielle's dad?
“And he died there.” I can't help but to put everything to complete the puzzle.
It was Rielle's dad who saved my mother from those gangsters. If it weren't for him, I don't think Mr. Ferrer will have a lead.
Mom nodded. “In order to save me and the other women, he died fighting alone. He was betrayed by his group too. It was planned that Mr. Rivera should be killed.”
Selena gasped while I keep myself composed. I need to be strong in front of my sister. All along, I thought she left us for selfish reasons. I thought she did it because she doesn't want us. I was wrong.
“Even without the gang, I hide and walked away from you. Because I don't want you to be in danger as what happened to me.” My mom keeps on sobbing as she explains herself and what happened to her years ago.
I sighed as I saw her too helpless. She did that for us. To protect us.
I stood up and went near her side. I knelt down and level with her knees. She looked at me, bewildered. I kissed her hands before I embraced her tightly.
“I'm sorry too, mom.”
It may seem so easy to forgive her, but for me, she deserved it. But it takes time. And I realized that after years of longing for her, I just wanted to hear her side.
I went back to Rielle's condo unit. She's not here yet. Maybe with her brothers. I roamed my eyes around just to see our photo inside a picture frame. This happened during Intramurals Week. We won the first place in the dance competition held in Clivette. I can remember vividly how happy Rielle was.
This was also the time that I realized that I'm just using her. That everything was a game to me. This is also the last photo we took together before I felt incomplete when she left.
I didn't expect that she'll still keep this. I just smiled and went towards the door and opened it, just to see Rielle smiling at me.
I met her blue oceanic eyes. I leaned forward and planted kisses on her face and her neck down to her shoulders. I suddenly miss her warmth.
“I love you, Arabella Rielle,” I mumbled in between our kisses. She uttered the same thing which made me smile.
I still can't believe that she's mine now. She's been playing hide-and-seek with me for years. And I was willing to find her. After all, I was the one who started it. I'm the seeker while she's the one hiding from the playboy.
And now, she can't escaped this playboy as the game is finally over.
