In the aftermath of their triumph over darkness, the campus basked in a newfound sense of tranquility. The air was filled with relief, and the students celebrated their victory with a renewed spirit. Amidst the jubilation, Francine and Marcus found themselves standing by the campus fountain, their hearts still racing from the battle they had won.
As they gazed at each other, the weight of their journey together settled upon them. Marcus's gaze was tender, his eyes reflecting the deep connection they had forged through adversity.
"Francine," Marcus began, his voice soft yet filled with a mixture of hope and uncertainty, "I've been carrying a curse, one that changed my appearance. But you've shown me that love can conquer even the darkest of spells."
Francine's heart skipped a beat, her fingers brushing his as she met his gaze. "Marcus, your appearance was never what defined you. It was always your heart, your kindness, and your courage."
Marcus took a deep breath, his gaze steady. "There's something I need to tell you. This curse is more than just a spell – it's tied to a family feud, a history of pain that has haunted my lineage."
As he spoke, a sense of understanding dawned upon Francine. "You mean, the curse was placed upon your family?"

When a novel in poetry is done well, it is incredibly fulfilling. They don't often work for me, to be perfectly honest. My eyes tend to skim the lines, which causes me to finish quickly—which I appreciate—but I feel like I don't really retain much of what I read. Or, I feel that the structure doesn't do the story justice; I want more but the format doesn't allow for it. Thankfully, neither was always the case with this title (more on that later). The author deserves so much appreciation for this
