Chapter 61.

This morning Maudy was ready; she was going to Jakarta with her father and mother. Rein was waiting in front of Maudy's house. When the woman opened the door, Maudy was quite surprised because Rein was waiting for her in front of the house. He was also on the phone with Nuril.
"There's Nuying?" Maudy asked because she heard Nuril's voice was not good.
"Dy, there's no need to come. I'm not getting married. She said it nervously, making Maudy choke, not to mention Rein, who was standing in front of the door, and Nuril, who brought news that Maudy thought didn't make sense.
"What do you mean, Rill? Please explain; my brain is not able to digest properly. Maudy finally breathed out. For some reason lately, she had been a little emotional; it seemed her mental condition was unstable, or she was too lazy to listen to Nuril's endless babbling in the morning.
"Cancel the marriage, Dy. I'm cancelling," explained Nuril in an annoyed mode, already at level seven, it seems. Because of Maudy, Nuril was also upset.
"Ha? What do you mean, postponed again? Maudy asked innocently whether it was on purpose or if she just wanted to escape from Nuril's conversation this morning, which didn't make any sense to her.
"I'm not going to marry Fathur, Dy, or I—
"Ril, later on, there's Rein. Maudy immediately ignored Nuril because she thought it was becoming increasingly unreasonable. Meanwhile, Rein had been here for a long time and just saw how Maudy was talking to her cousin, even though she had been standing all along.
"Sorry, Rein, you're waiting. He just called, so he can't put you first. Even though you've been here all along. It was clear that Maudy wasn't feeling well.
"It's okay; just relax. Reins said.
"Oh, yes, what are you doing here? So early in the morning. Maudy asked because it was still half past seven in the morning and even the people who were working were just about to leave if they were far from where they worked.
"Hmm, nothing… It's just me—" Rein didn't continue; he hesitated to say it, so Maudy looked at him innocently.
"What's wrong? Just say it. As long as I can help; if not, then I'll just have to listen," Maudy added. While smiling, Maudy told Rein to sit down.
"Rein, I'll be getting ready in a moment. If not, you can come in, and we'll tell you inside. I was ready to clean up last night. You just need to take a shower and have breakfast. Do you want to have breakfast? Come on, as well as that. Bring Maudy back.
Rein looked doubtful, but in the end he accepted Maudy's offer to have breakfast at the woman's house.
"Why, Rein, early in the morning? What's wrong, son? Maudy's mother finally greeted Rein because she ran into the living room.
"Morning Aunt, I need Maudy for a moment, Auntie. He said making Maudy's mother finally understand
"Okay, Mom, stay for now; don't be too long, Dy; you have to have breakfast and take your medicine, then we will leave at ten. She said that, making Maudy nod.
"Has Rein had breakfast? Let's have breakfast together. Invite Mama Maudy! Rein shook his head.
"It's ok, Rein, can I have a drink? She asked carefully; Maudy's mother nodded and gave Rein a glass of drinking water.
"Rein, just sit here if you want to eat; if you don't want to, it's okay; you can stay in the living room too if you feel uncomfortable here. She said to Rin:
"Just in the living room, thank you. Rein answered and sat in the living room while waiting for Maudy.
"Dy, eat first, girl. Come back later; aren't you hungry? asked the father,
Yes, father, just a moment," she replied.
"Rein, wait a minute; I'll eat first. Maudy said, and Rein finally nodded his head in understanding.
While Maudy was eating, Rein looked at photos of Maudy's family. She saw Maudy's cousin, who came here a few days ago, and next to him was the man who was also her fiancé. Rein continued to stare at the figures in the frame, one by one, until he found a picture where middle school and high school students were embracing each other in two pairs. Rein knew all three; one of them was Maudy, and the other was a man he didn't know. He had thought that the man was Maudy's brother or his cousin.
Not long after, Maudy finished breakfast, as did her father and mother. They cleaned up the leftovers and got ready. Rein approached Maudy and looked like he was going to say something. Maudy, who realised this, immediately said
"Why Rein? He looks like he wants to talk about something. Maudy said
"Dy, how long have you been in Jakarta?"
"Why? Maybe a week. She said she was only attending Nuril's wedding and relaxing at home. She doesn't want to go anywhere because she has no memories—she feels like she has no memories in Jakarta.
"Hmm, Dy, it looks like I'm also going to Jakarta. But tomorrow." Rein said.
"Why?" she asked.
"I have a need in Jakarta. I'll meet you there. Can I come to Nuril's wedding? He asked again.
"That's fine, of course. You know Nuril too. Oh, well, then I'll see you in Jakarta, Dy. Get ready; I'll go home first, okay? He said goodbye to Maudy.
Maudy finally smiled sincerely, accepting Rein's offer.
Okay, she replied.
After Rein returned, Maudy got ready. Exactly at nine, they left home for the station, they left for the train, and at ten o'clock from the station In order not to arrive in Jakarta in the late afternoon, they are more comfortable using the train.
"Are you ready, son?" asked the father. Maudy nodded. Maudy brought her backpack.
"Mom and Dad don't bring a lot of things, do they? Maudy also only has this one backpack." She said.
"We're only in Jakarta for a week, right?" asked Maudy again.
Yes, girl, why? Do you want to spend more time in Jakarta? Is there somewhere you want to go?" The mother asked again, but Maudy just shook her head.
"Not yet, ma; I just don't remember ever being there. Maudy said
"If you remember, you must have visited a lot of places because you have been to almost all places in Jakarta. Said the father unconsciously, making Maudy wince, and the wife slowly pinched her husband's arm without warning.
"Why?" asked the husband, looking at his wife.
"Why did dad say that?" asked the wife.
"Why is that, ma? Don't cover it up too much, Ma; later Maudy will be even more suspicious. Her husband explained clearly.
"Dad and mom, why are you whispering? Maudy asked because she saw that her mother and father were busy together.
"Ah, it's nothing, girl. The mother said this because she didn't want Maudy to know that they had bad memories in Jakarta.
"Come on, we'll take a taxi," said the father.
Maudy and her parents have arrived at the station and are waiting for the train, which will leave soon, at exactly ten o'clock.
"Well, he said Rein wanted to go to Jakarta; that's why Maudy asked. If we're there for a long time, Maudy and Rein will want to go for a walk. Maudy said, looking at her mom and dad.
"That's fine; it's okay. Just don't play too far. My father advised me."
"If you want to go out, tell mom, okay? Don't ever go anywhere without letting me know. Asked the mother, which made Maudy give a confident nod to the mother.
But why did Rein go to Jakarta?" his father asked.
"He said there was a need," replied Maudy.
"Yeah, it's okay; Rein can take care of Maudy as well. Said mom.
"Rein and Maudy are just friends, maam; they don't have any relationship. Maudy explained.
"Oh my, no need to explain, darling. Her father's words made Maudy annoyed.
"Besides, who said there was something wrong with Rein and you? You're the one who misunderstood. The mother replied, making Maudy even more annoyed.
"Mama, uh, this mama's dad—
"Our train has arrived. Let's get ready; we will discuss it in Jakarta again. We will continue when we arrive. Said the father, and he hugged his daughter affectionately while embracing his wife too.
