PART 36.
Tyler's POV
She was about to leave when I grabbed her arm again.
"What is it, Tyler?!" she exclaimed, annoyed with me.
"Get inside the car," I said, nodding my head towards the direction of the car.
"No, thank you," she replied, attempting to free her arm from my grip, but I held onto her and pulled her towards the car.
"Let me go," she protested, but I continued to firmly hold her arm and guided her towards my car. I unlocked it and opened the door.
"Get inside," I ordered firmly.
She shook her head, looking in a different direction. God, she's being stubborn!
"What's wrong, Ayesha!" I shouted, growing impatient. I'm so tired, and all I want is to lie in my bed, but she's not making it any easier. I couldn't just leave her alone in the street in the middle of the night, so I decided to take her to her own house.
"Why are you getting angry?!" she shouted back in defiance.
"Just," as I massage my glabella. "Just get inside the car, please." I tried to say it as soft as possible.
"Okay." She answered with an eye roll and got inside my car. After closing the door, I turned to the driver's seat and got inside. Then, I started the engine and began to drive.
"How long have you been waiting outside my house?" I asked her while I was focusing on the road.
"You wouldn't want to know." As she crossed her arms and looked at the window.
"Don't tell me you've been there since last week?" I asked in disbelief.
She turned to look at me and shrugged, then, divert her attention to the window. I sighed heavily.
"What makes you think of doing that? I haven't been coming home since last week as I've been sleeping in the office due to business matters, and just three hours ago, I was in Korea," I retorted, glancing in her direction before returning my focus to the road.
"What else do you want me to do? I can't get a hold of either you nor Hades, and I am getting really restless about Xyrel's whereabouts. Its been two years already, and I am not even getting enough sleep!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. I wanted to cover my ears but I couldn't since I was driving right now.
"Alright, I'm sorry." I blurted out, I don't know how to act in this kind of situation, so that just came out of my mouth out of nowhere.
I noticed that she calmed herself down then became silent for a few minutes, "You've been ignoring my calls and texts, so I have nothing else to think of aside from waiting in front of your house."
I bite my lower lips feeling a little guilt, "Have you eaten dinner already?"
"Beats me." She simply replied and crossed her arms as she tried to close her eyes. I shake my head in disbelief and just drove off to the nearest restaurant that I have seen open.
I parked the car and removed my seatbelt, "Let's go." I said as I tilted my head to indicate that it was time to get out of the car.
"I'm not hungry." She simply replied as she refused to get out from her seat.
"Ayesha!" I warned, getting really impatient.
"Fine!" She blurted as she rolled her eyes. "So annoying," then she get out of the car.
I sighed in frustration and stepped out of the car. I locked the vehicle before we entered the restaurant. Glancing at my wristwatch, I discovered that it was already 10 in the evening. I silently expressed gratitude that this restaurant was still open. I was starting to feel hungry, and if I hadn't found Ayesha earlier, I might have ended up in bed without having dinner.
"Good evening, Sir and Ma'am," greeted the guard, and I simply nodded in response as we entered. I followed Ayesha and waited for her to choose a seat since there were several vacant tables. When I saw her sit in the middle section, I took a seat directly across from her. It didn't take long for the waiter to arrive and take our orders.
"Where do you plan to take me?" she suddenly asked when the waiter took off. I stared at her for a brief moment and answered,
"To sell you off," as I intertwined my fingers and placed my arms on the table.
She rolled her eyes yet again then hissed, "Shut up!"
"You were the one who was asking." I shrug then lean on the chair.
"Shut up, Tyler!" She said, exasperated.
I chuckled and shake my head in disbelief. "How's your life by the way?"
"Now you're asking," she said sarcastically, then drank the water that the waiter had served us.
"Seriously, though. I wanted to ask how was your life after we graduated." I placed my hand over my chin and rested my elbow on the table.
After taking a sip of her drink, she stared at me for a few minutes as if she were trying to read my mind before answering my question. "Well, I'm working fine at Lavisca's Empire," she said.
I was surprised by her response, and I couldn't speak for a few minutes as I tried to process what she had just said. Lavisca's Empire? What on earth was she talking about?
"Lavisca's Empire? Are you serious right now?" I asked, furrowing my brow. She raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms in response.
"Do I look like I'm joking right now? Well, I wished I was." She then rolled her eyes and flipped her hair. It was actually sexy though.
I cleared my throat as I tried to clear the nasty thought, "For how long have you been working there?"
"Not long," she said, without any interest in telling me more.
I heaved a deep sigh, "Aren't you gonna tell me?"
"Why are you sticking your nose on my business though? It's not like I can forgive you for not telling me about Xyrel's whereabouts." She leaned closer and raised her left brow as she glanced at my lips for a second.
"You know what? I might have just end up selling you off to a beggar." I commented, she get back on her seat and started laughing so hard. She is now even holding her stomach.
"A beggar? Hahahaha." She said while laughing. I mentally rolled my eyes because of her uncontrollably laughing.
She almost rolled off her chair, but fortunately, I was able to grab her by the arm. She immediately stopped laughing and was looking at my eyes.
We were staring at each other's eyes when the waiter arrived, "Here are your orders, ma'am and sir."
I immediately let go of her arm and drank the water in my wine glass. The waiter served our food silently and when he's done, he got off. After the waiter left, the two of us ate in silence.

Hades' POV
I was typing something on my laptop while sipping my coffee, even though I was tired from the trip. I had to finish all my work today as it will only get loaded for tomorrow. I wanted to lessen my work as much as I could so that I can have a little break with my family when the problem will be solved in this company. But I couldn't help but to think of Yvanne's reaction a while ago. What was that? Tyler obviously told me we were summoned in the mansion because of Grandpa's condition and when we get there, she just told us to get out. I just find it a bit off.
I was busy typing when my phone rang,
"Hello?" It was Kyro's voice.
"Yeah? Why did you call me?" I answered without any interest.
I could hear his heavy breaths in the other end, "Grandpa needs help." He spoke with every deep breaths in every words.
"What? I can't seem to understand your words." I replied, because his words are almost covered with his deep breaths.
"Grandpa, needs, help." Then our call ended. I furrowed my brow and stared at my phone for how long it had take me. What the hell was that?
I put my phone back on the table and went on with what I'm doing earlier. I typed and sipped my coffee but this time, his words are echoing in my head. I got up from my seat and heaved a deep breath as I watched the outside world through my glass wall. The buildings are glowing with their lights and the stars are brightening as well. It was a breathtaking view and I wondered if I was watching it with my family. God, I missed them so bad already. I really hoped to be with them much sooner.
After staring at it for a little while, I get back to work. Just the thought of being with my family gives me the strength to finish this workload.

Xyrel's POV
I got up early today and prepared our breakfast. At first I felt really awkward in this new place that Hades had brought for us but after spending just a few days here, I got used to it already.
My energetic child was still asleep in our room, so this was my chance to cook and clean. It had been days since Hades returned to the Philippines, and Walter kept asking me when his daddy would come back. I couldn't give him a definite answer because I didn't know myself. We had no contact with Hades since we didn't have a phone, and I had no intention of buying a new one. It was frustrating because my parents were pressuring me to come back to Manila. I didn't want to go home yet because I was afraid for my child. I didn't want anything bad to happen to him, and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if it did. So, as much as possible, I avoided them and hid from the person who wanted to harm my family. That's what they wanted me to do, so I followed their instructions. Besides, during our time in Korea, nothing bad had happened to us.
"Wait, did I put salt in this?" I wondered to myself as I looked at what I was cooking. I had been lost in thought while cleaning and cooking, so I forgot if I had already added seasoning to the dishes.
In the midst of my task, the doorbell suddenly rang, and although I was curious, I took off my apron and headed to the door. When I opened it, I was shocked. I hadn't expected them.
"Mom? Dad? Yesh? Tyler..." I said in surprise to the people waiting outside my door.
Dad had a stern expression as he asked, "Are you not going to let us in?"
"Please come in," I said, stepping aside in the middle of the hallway to let them in. Mom was glaring at me as she sat on the sofa with Dad. Tyler, on the other hand, looked at me as if he couldn't believe it.
And Yesh said, "I hate you," crossing her arms and sitting on the sofa.
"Can I hug?" Tyler asked, almost pleading. I chuckled and nodded. Who was I to deny a hug to someone I knew had missed me so much? He hugged me and expressed his gratitude before taking a seat on the sofa.
"I'll just brew coffee for you all," I said, biting my lower lip out of shyness. I wasn't done cleaning yet, so the house was still a bit messy. They all nodded in unison, and most of them gave me a hateful look, except for Tyler. I went to the kitchen, turned off what I was cooking earlier, and heated water. I pondered for a few minutes about their unexpected visit and why they all came at the same time, especially considering how early it was.
"Do you need help?" I turned to the voice that suddenly spoke, and it was Tyler.
I smiled at him and shook my head. "No, it's fine. You can go back there."
He licked his lips and smiled. "It was nice to see you again, Xy."
"Nice to see you too," I replied with a smile, then turned away to prepare the coffee. After brewing it, I placed the cups on a tray and was about to carry it when he suddenly snatched it away from me. I thought he had already left the kitchen.
"I thought you went back there!" I exclaimed, surprised, and accidentally hit his arm. He had been silent for a while since earlier, then suddenly appeared and tried to take what I was carrying, so it was only natural that I got startled.
"Ouch! You're still strong, I might get burned!" he complained.
"It's your fault too, sneaking up on me!" I retorted, playfully.
"Mom?" I saw my child come out of the room, rubbing her eyes. "Is that Daddy?"
"No, Walter. It's your uncle Tyler." My child's face brightened, and he quickly ran towards us.
"An uncle?" he asked with a wide smile, looking so excited. I nodded while Tyler placed the coffee he brought on the coffee table and quickly returned to his spot next to me.
"Yes, I'm Uncle Tyler, little buddy. What's your name?" Tyler kneeled down to match Walter's height.
"I'm Walter," Walter replied with a smile, then he touched Tyler's face before giving me a puzzled look.
"Why does he look like Dad?" He asked, stumbling over his words.
"What?" Tyler asked, not understanding what my child said.
"He said you look like his Daddy," I said while laughing.
"Ah!" Tyler realized what Walter said and turned back to the child. "I'm your Dad's twin brother."
"Twin brother?" Walter asked, furrowing his brows, which made me laugh because he looked so cute.
"Yes, twin brother," Tyler said, pinching Walter's cheek. Walter pouted and looked at me with teary eyes.
"Why, baby?" I asked, reaching out to wipe his tears. I also knelt down beside him, so now both Tyler and I were on the same level as him.
"Why didn't Daddy come with Uncle Tyler?" he asked, and I hugged him tightly.
"Daddy is very busy, baby. Don't worry, he will come back here with us again, okay?" I reassured him, gently stroking his back to calm him down.
"Walter, do you want to play with Uncle Tyler?" Tyler offered, trying to distract Walter.
"And Auntie Yesha too!" Yesha suddenly appeared.
"Mommy? I have a lot of playmates!" Walter suddenly smiled, and I nodded, wiping away his tears.Download Novelah App
