Part 40
PART 40.
Hades' POV
Another day, and I was busy finding solutions in my office while waiting for Tyler to come back to the Philippines. He had told me over the phone the day before that he had a plan to save Grandpa, so I was waiting to hear what it was. As I was busy with my laptop, someone entered my office, and as I turned to see who it was, it was Kyro.
I let out a long and deep sigh. "What is it?"
"Come on, let's plan something to rescue Grandpa," he said, then sat down in front of my chair.
"I am waiting for Tyler. He has plans," I simply replied and returned to what I was doing earlier. I read the report that Tito Havier had submitted the day before, and I couldn't help but feel a little suspicion. What was wrong with his report?
My brows furrowed as I kept on reading the rest of the report and laid back on my swivel chair as I massaged my temple. There was something wrong with his report, but I couldn't seem to pinpoint exactly what it was.
"Why?" Kyro asked when he observed my reaction.
"Nothing," I shook my head as I didn't want to tell him because it was something confidential. I couldn't trust Kyro. I didn't exactly know what his motives were, but I knew that he just wanted to secure Grandpa's safety.
"Alright, cous'. I'm sorry," he said, raising his hand as if he were surrendering.
"Why?" I furrowed my brow as I looked at him.
"Just sorry," he said, looking down. He let out a sigh before continuing his sentence. "Sorry for all those things I had said and done. I knew I had caused you pain in the past, especially when we were in high school, and when my mom threw you guys outside the mansion. I did terrible things to you, and I'm so sorry for that."
"It's okay, I don't hold grudges against you. I also knew at that time how much Grandpa means to you. I couldn't blame you for your response to the situation. You know what? Let's just forget about it," I said, offering my left hand for a handshake that he accepted with a smile.
As we shook hands, I couldn't help but feel a slight sense of relief. Maybe Kyro wasn't all bad after all. Maybe he really did just want to help save Grandpa.
Just then, my phone buzzed, signaling an incoming message. It was from Tyler.
"Hey, Hades. I'm back in the Philippines. Meet me at the usual spot in an hour. Got a plan to share with you."
I quickly replied, "Sure, see you there."
I turned to Kyro. "Tyler's back. We're meeting up in an hour to discuss the plan. You can come with me if you want."
"Thanks, cous'. I'll be there," Kyro said with a nod.
As he stood up to leave, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the small moment of reconciliation between us. Maybe, just maybe, we could work together to save Grandpa.
As Kyro left my office, I couldn't help but wonder what Tyler's plan was. I knew he had been working on it for a while, and I was eager to hear what he had come up with.
I quickly finished up what I was doing on my laptop and headed out to meet Tyler at the usual spot. It was a small café near our office where we often met to discuss important matters in private.
As I arrived at the café, I saw Tyler sitting at a table in the corner, sipping on a cup of coffee. I walked over to him and took a seat across from him.
"So, what's the plan?" I asked eagerly.
Tyler took a deep breath and leaned forward. "As someone intimately familiar with the Lavisca mansion, I possess a comprehensive understanding of its layout and security features, including a specific weakness in the system that can be exploited to gain entry."
"A weak spot?" I repeated, intrigued.
"Yes," Tyler nodded. "There's a blind spot in the surveillance cameras near one of the entrances to the mansion. It's not a heavily guarded entrance, and the guards there are not as alert as the others."
"And?" I urged him to continue.
"We use that entrance to get in," Tyler said. "With my knowledge of the mansion's layout, I propose creating a diversion to distract the guards while we disable the communications and sneak in through the identified weak spot. Once inside, I can lead us directly to Grandpa's location within the mansion and proceed with his extraction."
I nodded, impressed. "That sounds like a solid plan. How do we create the diversion?"
"I've got a few ideas," Tyler said with a grin. "We could set off a small explosion, start a fire, or cause a disturbance in a different part of the mansion. That should draw their attention away from the target area."
I thought about it for a moment. It was risky, but it seemed like our best shot at rescuing Grandpa. "Okay, let's do it. When do we execute the plan?"
"I suggest we do it tomorrow night, around 11 pm. That's when the guards are usually less alert, and there are fewer people around," Tyler said.
"Okay, I'll make the arrangements. What do we need?" I asked.
"We'll need some equipment to disable the communications and a few tools to break in through the weak spot. I'll take care of that," Tyler said.
"Alright, I trust you," I said, nodding. "Let's do this."
As Tyler and I discussed the plan, Kyro arrived at the café and joined us at the table. Tyler filled him in on the details, and Kyro seemed eager to help.
"I'm in," Kyro said. "Whatever it takes to save Grandpa."
Tyler nodded. "Good. We'll need all the help we can get."
As we finished our coffee and parted ways, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Excitement, fear, and hope all rolled into one. This was our chance to save Grandpa, and I was willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
///////////////////
We spent the next few days finalizing the details of the plan and preparing our equipment at Tyler's residence. Tyler had brought in some of his own resources, including lock-picks, hacking devices, and non-lethal weapons.
As we got ready to leave from Tyler's house, Tyler pulled me aside for a moment. "Listen, Hades. I know this is risky, and there's a chance we might not make it out alive. But we have to do this. For Grandpa."
I nodded, feeling a lump in my throat. "I know. I'm with you, Tyler. Let's do this."
Kyro's expression was resolute as he spoke up, his voice filled with determination. "Count me in, Tyler and Hades. I'll do whatever it takes to help Grandpa and ensure the success of our mission. We can do this together."
We made our way to the mansion, parked our car a few blocks away, we could see Garaba's men patrolling the area, armed with guns and looking out for any intruders. We knew that the odds were against us, but we had to try.
Tyler led the way, his eyes scanning the area for any signs of trouble. Kyro was right behind him, his hand on his weapon, ready to use it if necessary.
As we reached the weak spot in the security system, Tyler set up the small explosive device and activated it. The explosion was loud, and we could hear the Garaba's men shouting and running towards the source of the disturbance.
We quickly disabled the communications and slipped through the weak spot, moving quickly and quietly through the mansion. We encountered several of Garaba's men along the way, but Tyler and Kyro took them out with expert precision, using their non-lethal weapons to subdue them. We moved quickly and quietly, trying to avoid any unnecessary attention.
As we approached the room where Grandpa was being held, we heard the sound of someone approaching. We quickly ducked behind a nearby wall and listened as the footsteps grew louder.
As the guard approached, Tyler and Kyro sprang into action, taking him down with a well-timed strike. We dragged his unconscious body into a nearby closet and locked the door, hoping that no one would find him.
Finally, we reached the room. Kyro opened the door, and we rushed inside, and found Grandpa. Grandpa was lying on a bed, his hands and feet tied up, and a cloth over his mouth. He looked up at us, his eyes filled with fear and confusion, my heart sank with sadness and anger at the sight of his frail and helpless state. I quickly untied him and removed the cloth from his mouth, but he was struggling to breathe, coughing and gasping for air. Tyler and Kyro stepped in, supporting him as we made our way out of the room.
"Why is he like this?" I demanded, my brow furrowed with concern.
Kyro's expression was pained as he replied, his voice filled with emotion. "I already told you about it, Hades. They've been giving him medication that causes delirium and makes him lash out. He sometimes shouts and throws things if not tied up. This is exactly why I called you for help. I couldn't do anything on my own to help Grandpa with his situation right now."
As we made our way through the dark, foreboding mansion at 11 in the evening, the sound of Garaba's men grew louder and more frenzied. I could hear them shouting and firing their guns, their footsteps echoing off the walls as they closed in on us. The darkness made it difficult to see, but I could feel the tension and fear mounting within our group. We all knew that we had to move quickly if we hoped to evade the guards and escape with our lives.
"We need to get out now, before my mom wakes up," Kyro said urgently, his voice tinged with anxiety and apprehension.
As we finally reached the exit, our hopes of escape were quickly dashed as we saw Garaba's men blocking our way. They were heavily armed and looked determined to stop us at all costs.
As Tyler and Kyro drew their weapons, we could hear the sound of Garaba's men closing in on us. They were shouting and firing their guns, determined to stop us from escaping with Grandpa. The air was filled with the sound of bullets ricocheting off the walls, and we knew that we had to act fast.
We took cover behind a nearby wall, trying to avoid getting hit. Tyler and Kyro were firing back, their movements swift and precise as they took out as many of Garaba's men as they could. I stayed close to Grandpa, shielding him from harm as best I could.
The exchange of bullets was intense, and the tension in the air was palpable. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as we fought for our lives. Tyler and Kyro were quickly running out of ammunition, but they continued to fight on, determined to protect us at all costs.
Finally, we managed to subdue Garaba's men and make our way outside. But we knew that our troubles were far from over. We quickly secured Grandpa, making sure that he was safe and protected from any further harm. Tyler and Kyro kept watch as we made our way to safety, their eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger.
It was a close call, but we had succeeded in our mission and rescued Grandpa. The adrenaline was still pumping through our veins as we made our way back to Tyler's house, grateful to be alive and together.
"We did it," Tyler said, a big smile on his face.
"Yeah, but we're not out of the woods yet. We still have to secure Grandpa as Yvanne might try to get her hands on him." I said, my voice shaking with emotion.
Kyro let out a deep sigh, his expression pained as he spoke about his mother. "Yeah, I don't know why my mom was becoming more of a monster. She's not like that in the past. I don't know what had gotten into her."
I could feel the weight of the situation bearing down on all of us, and I reached out to tap Kyro's arm in a show of support. He was sitting in the passenger's seat beside me as I drove, and I could see the worry etched on his face.
As I checked on Grandpa in the back seat together with Tyler, my heart sank at the sight of his frail and weakened state. He looked exhausted and drained, his eyes closed and his breathing shallow. I felt a surge of protective instinct wash over me, and I vowed to do everything in my power to keep him safe.
We drove as fast as we could, the sound of the engine roaring in our ears as we sped away from the mansion. The road stretched out before us, dark and treacherous, but we were determined to make it back to Tyler's house and regroup. With Tyler and Kyro by my side, I knew that we could face whatever came our way. Together, we had proven that we were a force to be reckoned with, and we had saved Grandpa from harm.

Third Person's POV
Havier and Yvanne were in their separate rooms when they were jolted awake by the sound of gunshots and commotion outside. They quickly got out of bed and made their way to the hallway, where they met each other.
"What's going on?" Havier asked, his voice shaking with fear.
"I don't know," Yvanne replied, her voice trembling. "But it doesn't sound good."
Suddenly, the door burst open, and two of their guards rushed in, their faces pale and panicked.
"Mr. Havier, Miss Yvanne, we have a problem," one of the guards said, his voice urgent.
"What kind of problem?" Havier demanded, his heart pounding in his chest.
"The grandsons of the old man have come to rescue him," the other guard said, his voice low and tense. "They've taken out most of our men, and they're getting away with him."
Havier and Yvanne's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. They had thought they had everything under control, but it seemed that they had underestimated their opponents.
"What do we do?" Yvanne asked, her voice shaking with fear.
"We have to stop them," Havier said, his voice firm and determined. "We can't let them get away with this."
As they continued to talk, their minds racing with thoughts of revenge and retribution, they knew that they were in for a fight. The battle lines had been drawn, and they were determined to come out on top, no matter what the cost.

Hades' POV
We managed to secure Grandpa and get him a private doctor while he's being treated at Tyler's house. We're also currently working to gather evidence against Yvanne and whoever was behind Grandpa's condition. He's still unable to provide much information due to the trauma and medication.
Tyler entered my office and placed a file on my desk. "Bro, I found something suspicious in Tito Havier's report. Please check this out," he said.
I quickly scanned the file, which contained business reports that I had read a few days before we rescued Grandpa. "You're right. There's a mistake in the report," I said. "It doesn't make sense, and I think it might be intentional. I had already noticed this before and was doing further investigation."
"It's possible that Tito Havier's report contains false information or inconsistencies that could help us build a case against him," I continued. "But we need to gather more information and evidence to confirm our suspicions."
Tyler and I knew that this was just the beginning of a long and difficult investigation, but we were determined to get to the bottom of things and bring those responsible to justice. We were discussing our next steps in my office when suddenly someone entered and shouted, "Daddy!"
I turned to see my son running towards me with his arms wide open. "Nate!" I exclaimed with excitement, kneeling down to match his height and embrace him.
"Daddy, it's nice to see you again. I missed you!" My son said, smiling as he hugged me tightly.
"I missed you too, buddy. Why are you here? Where's Mommy?" I asked, breaking the hug and holding his waist with my left hand while fixing his hair with the other.
"Surprise?" My wife said as she entered the office with a box of cake in her hand, smiling at me. I quickly stood up and hugged her tightly.
"Xyrel, God, I missed you," I said, grateful to be reunited with my family amidst the chaos of the investigation.Download Novelah App
