Xyrel's POV
We were happily eating in the event hall and chatting. Suddenly, Ayesha held my hand, so I looked at her.
"I'm so happy for you, bestie," she said tearfully. I also held her hand that was holding mine.
"Thank you for your effort, Yesh. I loved the whole venue," I replied with a smile.
"I'm glad you liked it," she responded.
"What do you want? Beer or wine?" Tyler asked while holding a beer and a wine. Ayesha didn't answer and just stood up to get a drink from the cooler.
"What happened? What did you do? You're staring off into space, and you have that weird smile on your face," I asked Tyler, giving him a playful arm slap because it seemed like he had seen a ghost.
"Never mind, by the way, which one?" he offered me.
"I'll have wine," I replied, and he poured wine into my wine glass.
"Thanks, Tyler," I smiled at him, and he returned the gesture. Then he went back to his seat, and his path crossed with Ayesha's. I furrowed my brow when I noticed Ayesha's flushed face. Something must have happened between those two.
After we finished eating, we bid each other farewell.
"Xyrel, Walter is coming with us," my dad said while holding Walter's hand.
"Yes, Mommy. Please? I want to play with Grandpa and Grandma," Walter said cutely. I bent down, fixed his hair, and adjusted his clothes.
"Okay, but please promise Mommy one thing," I said, holding both of his shoulders. "Behave, baby, okay? Don't give Grandpa and Grandma a hard time. Do you promise?"
"Yes, Mommy. I promise," he replied.
We hugged him tightly before Hades and my dad put him in their car. I waved goodbye as the car drove away.
"I'll go home too, bestie. Congratulations once again," Ayesha said as she said her goodbyes, and I hugged her farewell.
"I'll drop you off," Tyler said to her.
"No need, there are plenty of taxis around," she replied, still unable to look directly at Tyler. But Tyler held her arm and pulled her towards his car.
"What are you doing, Tyler?! That's kidnapping!" Ayesha complained while trying to free her arm from Tyler's grip. I just shook my head as I watched the two of them.
"Let's go home, too, wife," Hades said, then he held my waist as he led me to our car.
"It seems like there's a budding romance between those two," I said, smiling as I got into the car. Once I was seated, I immediately fastened my seatbelt after he closed the door. He turned around and got into the driver's seat.
"Who were you referring to?" he asked as he started the engine and drove us home.
"Ayesha and Tyler. Do you think they make a good couple?" I asked him with a smile while he drove us home.
"Hmm, maybe," he simply replied, chuckling.
"Why maybe?" I asked him, amused.
"Because they were like cat and dog all the time," Hades replied, focusing on the road. He had noticed their frequent bickering too.
"I don't know what happened between the two of them, but when we were in college, Ayesha had feelings for Tyler," I shared with him.
"Really?" he quickly glanced at me and then returned his gaze to the road.
"Yes, but I don't know about now. She's always teasing Tyler these days," I answered, shrugging.
"But I think Tyler's getting interested in her. He even offered to take her home earlier, and I saw him getting worried about her. I guess things will work out for those two," he said, causing me to nod. Before long, we arrived home.
Hades' POV
"The ring is beautiful," my wife said as she stared at the ring on her finger. She's now sitting on our bed.
"Did you like it?" I asked her, and I joined her in sitting beside her on the bed.
"No," she said as she shook her head. I felt sad. "I don't just like it, I LOVE it," she said happily, looking at me and whispered, "Thank you." Then she kissed me on the cheek.
"Since you love my gift, can I also get my gift now?" I smiled at her as I bit my lip. She smiled back at me, then got up from the bed.
"I'll just take a shower," she said as she teasingly brushed her hand against my chest, down to my abdomen.
"Nah, I'd like to take a shower with you," I said as I held her waist and we made our way to the bathroom.
When we got inside, I immediately pinned her against the shower wall and kissed her on the lips.

I am now in my office and investigating the file that Tito Havier sent me. My head is now hurting as I found out that everything he reported contains false information. I called Tyler by his telephone to come here in my office.
"Yes bro?" He said as he enters my office then sat down in front of my table.
I handed him the documents. "It is confirmed, all that's written there are false information's. What should we do with him?" I asked him while I am massaging my temple.
"We should confront him." He replied still facing the documents.
"Do you think he will just admit that?" I asked him as I glanced in his direction.
"He will, eventually. We have gathered important proof." He replied as he placed the documents back in my table.
"Nah, I don't think he will willingly admit to that." I said as I got up from my seat and stares outside the busy street.
"Do you have any other options?" He asked.
"I do. What about catching him off guard?" I suggest, then I turned to look at him.
"And?" He asked while lifting his shoulders, "How can we exactly catch him off guard?"
I smirked, "We should tail him."

Tyler and I are inside my car, and we are now tailing Tito Havier. We still have plenty of time for work, but he went out driving, so we took this chance to follow him. My head furrowed when we reached a narrow and overgrown road with few people around, and we even ended up driving through a dark forest. My car was struggling with the rugged path, but we managed to follow Tito Havier, who was just a few meters ahead. We were careful not to let him catch us following him. When he stopped at an old, rusty, and dilapidated building, we also pulled over at a safe distance and got out of our car.
The building looked like it had been abandoned for years. Its walls were covered in vines, the windows were boarded up, and the roof was caved in at some spots. Tyler and I exchanged a quick glance before we followed Tito Havier inside. The door creaked loudly as we pushed it open, revealing a dimly lit hallway with peeling wallpaper and a musty smell. Tito Havier disappeared from our sight, but we could hear his footsteps echoing in the empty corridor. We tiptoed after him, trying not to make any noise. As we turned a corner, we saw him entering a room at the end of the hallway. We hid behind a wall and peeked through a crack to see what was going on.
"What is he doing here?" Tyler whispered while we were peeking.
"I don't know. It seems like he's here to meet someone."
"Do you know where the old man was taken?" Uncle Havier asked. Tyler and I tried our best to peek and see who he was speaking to. I saw men dressed in black with tattoos covering their bodies.
"Not yet, boss," one of the tattooed men answered.
"You idiots! It's such a simple task. Haven't you done it yet?!" Uncle Havier shouted at the men, whom I assumed were his subordinates.
"Sorry, Garaba. We will do everything to find Hades Lavisca the second again."
"Fuck!" Tyler muttered.
"He's Garaba?" I whispered, unbelievably.
