Keith is feeling mad.
Really, really mad.
But not to Rhianne. He can never get mad at her. Keith has no reason to get mad at the girl he likes.
As for his brother? Keith will not hesitate to burn his precious medical books just to vent his anger and irritation towards him. It seems like his brother exists in this world just to make his life harder than normal.
They are now inside his brother's car. Keith is the only one sitting at the back while Rhianne occupied the passenger seat. It was his brother's idea.
When they entered his car, Calvin complained that someone should sit on the passenger seat because he is not willing to take the role of their driver tonight. Rhianne probably got tired of his complaints so she took the initiative to occupy the seat next to his abnormal brother. Keith tried to exchange seats with Rhianne but Calvin complained again that he does not want to be seated next to him. Right now, the four-meter stuffed bunnies are the ones occupying the space next to him while Calvin is happily talking with Rhianne about Francis during their college days.
Every time Calvin stares at him in the rearview mirror, Keith will not hesitate to throw the nastiest glare he can ever give to him. But instead of getting scared or apologetic, Calvin still has the energy to smile happily at him. Keith is now considering if he will throw a bottle of glitters in his car later or not just to take revenge on ruining his date with Rhianne today.
When Calvin suddenly appeared in front of them earlier, Keith can feel the sudden awkwardness from Rhianne. She quickly put a distance between them and stop holding his hand. After that, Rhianne did not try to shorten their distance again and instead agreed with Calvin when he volunteered to bring her home.
She probably feel shy because his brother caught them in the middle of their date. Keith is really hoping to end their first date in a good way. He already ruined their night when his plans failed and now Calvin is trying to ruin it more for him. While Keith is busy making a revenge plan in his head, he received a continuous text message from Hansel.
'How's your date?'
'Is Rhianne your girlfriend now?'
'You should tell me the complete details of your date tomorrow!'
'Once you become her boyfriend, it's your turn to help me find a girlfriend. Okay?'
Keith pursed his lips and did not send a reply to Hansel. That guy is just making his mood worse. When he turned his head, the smiling faces of the stuffed rabbits welcomes his sight.
"So how is your brother now?" Keith heard Calvin ask Rhianne.
"My brother is doing well on his work. He is now managing a small company in this city as a preparation for his future position. Father said that he is doing very well and the future of our company is already secured because of him."
"Oh? Francis is really that great?"
"Yes! He is so smart and talented! I also heard from his secretary once that he is also a good leader and his employees have huge respect for him."
Calvin suddenly laugh when he heard the pure admiration in Rhianne's voice while praising her brother. The doctor heard the same tone of voice from Francis when he was praising Rhianne for being sensible and lovable the last time they saw each other. Although having a younger brother that he can tease all the time is fun, Calvin thinks having an adorable younger sister like Rhianne is also a good experience.
"Well, Francis has great managing skills and good leadership. When we were still in college, the professors always praised him for being a good leader in his class."
"Right? I am pretty sure father is also thinking the same way."
"What about me? Are you not going to praise me too?"
"...For what?"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. You are so heartless, Princess Rhianne. After being your doctor for several years, you will still refuse to call me the best and the most handsome doctor that you ever met? Ah. I suddenly feel a dull ache in my heart and the only cure for this is your cute praises towards me."

"No? Seriously?"
"Doctor Calvin." Rhianne called him in a serious voice. "I admit that you are also good-looking. But in my eyes, Keith is more handsome than you."
"...Wow. You are so biased! Just because Tristan is your suitor does not mean you should always be on his side."

"This is so sad. You are not willing to praise me even though I treated you so well. Even my own little brother refuses to give me compliments like that. My heart is now breaking into two."

Calvin suddenly feels Keith kick the back of his seat. But as usual, he ignores him. Instead, he laughs louder when Rhianne turned her head in the opposite direction to hide her blushing face. See? Teasing these kids is really a good stress reliever.
In all honesty, Calvin really did not expect to see them while he was taking a short walk at the park. He finally decided to use his paid vacations after performing two long operations this week. Aside from getting all the sleep he lost from the past weeks, Calvin will also use this chance to catch up with his family especially Tristan. He wants to know how is his progress in pursuing his future sister-in-law.
Before going home, the doctor decided to walk to the park near their hospital to exercise his legs for a bit. But when he turned around, Calvin saw his favorite patient and his brother were in their own world. Both of them are giggling while Rhianne's face was blushing so much. Then he stares at them for a while.
Without any of his biased opinion, those two really look good to each other. Calvin can also see the fond expression on Tristan's face that he only shows in front of Rhianne. But the doctor is more interested in the girl's reactions. Who would have thought his younger brother will manage to let his feelings known to his densest patient?
At first, he was worried that Tristan will make a huge blunder that will ruin their bond or Rhianne will distance herself from him because of awkwardness. But fortunately, those things did not happen. Calvin admits that he underestimated the affection between them. Since it is like that, he is now hoping for these two to have a good ending.
Soon, they finally arrived at the Cartel's mansion. Calvin raised a brow when he sees Francis standing near the gates with crossed arms. This one is still the same overprotective brother towards Rhianne. No wonder his younger brother is having a hard time dealing with him.
"Brother, what are you doing here?" Rhianne asked after getting out of the car.
But Francis ignored it and asked her a question instead.
"Why are you with him? Did these two brothers make you uncomfortable?" Francis asked before approaching them.
"Long time no see too, Francis." Calvin said as he waved his hand at him. "I know you missed your best friend too."
"No one misses you! Now go!"
"Wow. I can really feel your sincerity! Because of that, I will share with you a good secret!"
"I am not interested—Remove your arms around me. Damn it!"
Calvin suddenly put his arm on Francis's shoulders and pulled him away from Rhianne. Then he secretly glanced at his younger brother and gave him a signal. He will give those lovebirds a few more minutes together as compensation for ruining their moments earlier.
"I sometimes doubt how their friendship works." Rhianne suddenly said while watching the two older men bickering with each other.
"Who knows? Those two are built differently from us normal people." Keith replied. "Anyway, here is your stuffed bunny."
Keith detached the linked hands of those stuffed bunnies and gives the pink ones to Rhianne. But he is surprised when she grabs the black bunny instead. She stares at it for a second before hugging it.
"The black bunny is a male. See? It does not have any blush or curled lashes on its eyes." Rhianne explained while pointing at the embroidered eyes of the stuffed toy in her hand. "Seeing that their hands are linked when together, they must be a couple!"
"Yeah? So your point is?"
"Mr. Protagonist, this is you! I will keep this instead while you keep the other one. Okay?"
Keith raised a brow at her and slowly considered her words. Rhianne is also staring at him while hugging the stuffed toy in her arms. Is she trying to subtly tell him that they are going to be a couple in the future just like those stuffed toys?
"You know, Keith. I feel bad that your wish from our bet is for me to accept your gift. Even without asking me, I will surely keep your gift because it is you who gave this to me." Rhianne said and shows him her wrist wearing the charm bracelet.
"It's really okay. I cannot think of another wish anyway."
"Then let me compensate you."
"And how will you do—"
Keith's eyes widened in surprise when Rhianne stands on tiptoe and kissed him on his cheek. He can feel the softness of her lips that is only an inch away from his lips. Before Keith can even react, Rhianne has already put a distance between them and gets the bag of other stuffed toys from his hand.
"See you on Monday, Mr. Protagonist!" Rhianne said with a smile.
Keith cannot do anything but watch Rhianne as she calls for her brother before entering their gates. Francis gives him a weird look before locking their gates and follows Rhianne in their house. Keith soon feels his brother wrapping an arm around his shoulder but he did not bother removing it.
"I saw that." Calvin said with a teasing smile. "My baby brother is now all grown-up. You are making me feel so proud. All my hardships on raising you are finally bearing fruit.
Calvin even wiped his non-existent tears using his fingers. Keith finally removed his brother's arms around his shoulder and pushed him a little. He ignored his brother's teasing and get inside the car. Soon, the smile that Keith is trying to hide finally showed up when he sees the pink stuffed bunny in his arms.
