"Please don't leave me..."
"Karl, I need to go."
"Then what about me?! Are you going to leave me? Just like that?! Catherine, you know how much I love you."
"But it's not enough!"
"...What?"
"It's not enough, Karl. Love is never enough in this world. You should know that."
"Catherine, I can't understand. Why—"
"Is love enough to feed us in the future? Is it enough to make this world move on its axis? Is love enough to make all things better? Is it the only thing we need?!"
Karl tries to open his mouth to speak but he doesn't know what to say.
"You can't say anything, right? It's because you know that I have a point."
"Catherine, I will—"
"Enough with your promises, Karl! I'm so tired of it." 
He looks at the woman in front of him. Karl wants to touch and hug her. He wants to tell Catherine that everything is gonna be alright. But he also knows that it is something that she didn't want right now.
"Karl, you know that I love you so much. You should know how much I truly care for you. But if we continue our relationship, we are just going to burn ourselves to exhaustion. I don't want that to happen."
"Catherine, you are being unfair! You are not giving me a chance to perform my best. And yet—"
"I already gave you all the chances, Karl. It was you who wasted it."
"I—"
"We should end this relationship as early as now. I have to go."
"If you turn your back on me, expect that I will no longer follow you. Catherine, you are not the only one who is reaching their limit."
"Karl..."
"If you leave now, expect that I will no longer follow and try to persuade you. Leave if you want. I don't care anymore."
"I..."
Pursing her lips, Catherine closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. After that, Catherine turns around and readies herself to leave. When she takes a step forward, she turns her head to look at her beloved one last time. Catherine didn't know if this will be the last chance she can have to see him.
"Karl, always remember that I love you. But this relationship will never work the way we want."
"That's because you are already giving up on us."
Before Catherine can speak a word, Karl moves forward without looking back at her.
"Goodbye, Catherine."
Catherine stays on her spot and watches Karl as he continues moving forward without looking back. She bites her lips to stop making any crying sounds. Fresh tears are now staining her beautiful face. Still, Catherine's decision did not waver at all.
"Goodbye, Karl. I hope that you will find your true happiness."
Whispering those words, Catherine wipes her tears using the back of her hand. This will be the end of their story. Taking a deep breath, she moves her feet and starts walking away.

"...And cut! Good take, everyone!"
Keith, who is playing the role of Karl, let out a sigh and looks at Rhianne who is sitting behind the camera and watching the scene they took just now. He can see the excitement in her eyes. Soon, Keith noticed Andrew is now standing beside him and offered a bottle of water. Keith quietly accepts the bottle and opens it.
"Heh. No wonder Rhianne is always referring to you as a male lead."
"Tch."
For today, Rhianne and her groupmates are now shooting their short film that they have to submit as a project to their professor. Just like what they had planned, Keith and Candice will play the main roles in their short film. The story is about a couple who decided to be separated because of the difficulties they experienced on both sides. It was written by one of Rhianne's groupmate and she decided to use it for their short film.
They are now in a park and waited for the sunset before they started filming. After two takes, they are now finished taking the scenes and just checking if everything is okay before they decided to go home and rest. Based on Rhianne and her groupmates' expressions, it seems like they don't need a retake.
Since Andrew doesn't have any schedule for today, he decided to go with them and watch Keith as he acts in front of a camera while Rhianne is taking her job seriously as their director. To be honest, Andrew is surprised that Keith has a talent for acting. He really thought his friend would act like a robot in front of the camera today.
"So how does it feel to be an actor in Rhianne's short movie?" Andrew asked him with a smile.
Keith did not answer Andrew's question. He just gives him a glare while drinking his water. Andrew ignores it to look at Rhianne and sees that she is approaching them with a huge smile on her face.
"You did well, Mr. Protagonist!" Rhianne happily said as she gives Keith a clean towel. "I'm confident that our group will get a high score once we finish editing the film and submit it to our professor."
"Really?" Keith asked.
"Hmm! You and Candice are such a big help to us!"
Keith looks at Rhianne who is obviously happy with the result she got today. At first, he was really reluctant to be the male lead in her short film project. Aside from that, he learned that Candice will play the role of the female lead. But before Keith can firmly refuse her request, Rhianne suddenly looked at him with pleading eyes and promised him a date after they finished her project.
As always, Keith is very weak when it comes to Rhianne's requests. In the end, he accepted the role just to make her happy. Keith accepted the script from Rhianne and memorized his lines. Luckily, the role she gave to him doesn't require him to do a lot of things.
To be fair, Keith enjoys his experience today. Maybe because he saw Rhianne today in her work mode. Aside from it, the story she gave to them is not a sweet love story but rather a break-up scene. It is not like he hates to be with Candice for a long time. But he doesn't want to get near other girls aside from Rhianne. Keith knows to himself that he can be kind and sweet only to Rhianne.
"Candice, here!" Rhianne suddenly called.
Turning around, Keith and Andrew see Candice approaching them. Candice has a pack of tissues in her hand and she's using it to wipe the tears in her eyes. Rhianne excitedly holds her best friend's hand and praise her for the excellent acting she had done today.
"I know we haven't seen each other for years. But I think I can now read you just like how we can see Rhianne's thoughts openly." Andrew suddenly said.
"What are you talking about?" Keith asked him with a frown.
"Well... For starters, you are just relieved that Rhianne's storyline is a break-up scene. You obviously don't want to be chummy with other women aside from Rhianne. Am I right?"
"..."
"I will take your silence as a yes. Anyway, I cannot blame you. You're a bastard if you dare to do something bad to Rhianne."
Keith stares at Andrew for a moment before he speaks again.
"Do you still like her?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you still like Rhianne?"
"Of course."
When Andrew sees Keith scowling at him, he shakes his head and put an arm around his neck.
"I like Rhianne as a friend. Hmm, I can consider her as a little sister too. Or maybe as my auntie since she keeps on reminding me to take care of myself whenever she has a chance."
Ever since their relationship has improved, Rhianne is taking care of Andrew in her own way although they are living in different cities. Rhianne keeps reminding him to stay healthy and that she's always there whenever he feels lonely or has a hard time. He never says it out loud, but knowing that Rhianne is always there reduces the loneliness Andrew felt during the first year staying with his relatives.
Of course, Keith is also there as his friend. But Keith's consideration and affection are something that you can easily miss unless you give all your focus on it. Aside from it, he is the type of person who always gives a vibe to others that he is not approachable. Isn't one of the reasons why Andrew and Keith did not become friends from the very start?
"Don't worry too much, buddy. My childish crush for Rhianne has disappeared a long time ago. I am now sincerely treating her as my close friend. You don't need to treat me as a rival." Andrew said with a smile.
"You are never my rival when it comes to her anyway." Keith replied with a snort.
"Ha! After not seeing each other for a long time, I didn't expect to see your seed-like confidence grow that much. What happened to my shy buddy that I first met years ago?"
"Tch. Get your arm off me. I want to change my clothes."
Andrew laughs seeing that Keith is starting to get irritated with his teasings. For some reason, teasing him is quite enjoyable. It is probably because of his reactions. No wonder Rhianne is teasing Keith from time to time. The difference is, Keith will simply indulge in Rhianne's teasing while the others will only receive a scowl or glare from him.
Andrew removes his arm from Keith's shoulder and lets him go to the nearest restroom so he can change his clothes. Rhianne asked him earlier if he can wait for them to finish today so she can treat him and the others for a dinner tonight. Andrew has no reason to refuse it so he gave her a positive response. While waiting for Keith to arrive, Andrew did not expect that someone will approach him today aside from Keith and Rhianne.
"Excuse me. You are Andrew, right?"
Turning around, Andrew sees one of Rhianne's groupmate who is now standing in front of him. She gives him a smile before offering her hand to him for a handshake.
"I am one of Rhianne's classmates. My name is Donna Delgado."
Andrew doesn't want to be rude to her so he reaches out for her hand and shakes it.
"I'm Andrew Gartin." he replied.
"Hello, Andrew. Can we talk for a bit?"
"What?"
"This will not take long. I just want to ask you a few questions, that's all."
Although Andrew doesn't feel like talking to others aside from his friends, he still agreed to Donna's request. Maybe it's because Andrew heard the urgency in her voice. Nodding his head, Donna led him to a spot where no one could hear their conversation.
