Two months later,
Carl sat with a heavy stomach leaning her head on Dylan who smiled smoothing her hair. They were busy watching the TV as that is what Carl said she wanted.
"I will like to go to the room." Carl said and got up telling Dylan not to follow her which he obliged to.
He looked at Neon who was arranging the table and winked at her. He looked up at Carl immediately after winking and Neon understood what he meant by that.
She waited for Carl to get up then slowly walked up with her stopping her from closing the door.
Carl smiled seeing Neon and walked to the bed to sleep.
Reaching the bed, she tried lying down but felt a sharp pain grow in her stomach.
"Urrgh!" She screamed and Neon walked over to her.
"Please be careful, ma." Neon said but Carl screamed again.
"I feel weak. I do not feel air running through my vein." Carl said and Neon smiled remembering that Carl is nine months pregnant.
"I will need you to come with me, ma." Neon said.
"I feel sleepy." Carl said and Neon could only panic as she had a soft voice which can't make her call Mr. Rodriguez.
"Do keep your eyes open. I have to get something, ma." Neon said and Carl nodded.
"Do be fast." Carl said and Neon left the room praying.
Neon got down the stairs and told Dylan everything that happened.
"Oh my Gosh!" Dylan exclaimed and ran up leaving Neon behind him.
"Carl!" He called and Carl smiled seeing him as she held her stomach.
"Our baby." She said and Dylan nodded.
"We have to go." Dylan said.
"I am too weak to get up. Let me take a rest." She said but Dylan shook his head.
He turned to Neon who was staring at Carl.
"Get the car keys and her bag." Dylan said.
"Alright sir." Neon said and left.
"Ne..." Carl tried calling her back but she had left.
Dylan walked to the bed and carried her.
"What do you think you are doing?" Carl asked.
"Trying to help my wife." He said walking down the stairs slowly.
Carl smiled and tried to cover his face but Dylan took off her hand.
"Why can't I play with you?" She asked but he didn't answer as he walked out of the house.
He walked to the back seat of the car while Neon had entered the car. He placed her beside Neon and walked to the driver's seat. He drove to the hospital.
The ride to the hospital was tough with him trying to calm Carl.
"Why am I here and not beside my husband, where are we heading to, my baby needs his father's cuddle and lots more were Carl's complain.
Getting to the hospital, a stretcher was brought and Carl was placed on it.
She held on to Dylan's hands not wanting to leave it.
Dylan gave her a peck before she was wheeled to the room.
He sat down on a chair with Neon.
"You are the only one I have left, Carl. I neither have a mother nor a father." He said with his head bowed.
Neon looked at her boss and cleared her throat.
"She is going to be better and we are going to be happy." Neon said and Dylan looked at her.
Neon had been a great source of joy to them. She always encouraged them whenever they feel down.
"Neon!" He called.
He was distracted by what he saw.
He saw his mother being wheeled by a girl who looked like Nadosh but the girl had didn't have her face like Nadosh.
"Nadosh!" He called and the girl stopped.
Neon turned to look at the girl he called.
He walked up to Nadosh who was with her mother but Nadosh moved back.
"Remember the court order?" Nadosh said and Dylan nodded looking at her face.
"Yes I remember but it is only between mother and I." He said.
"But here is mother." Nadosh said and Neon opened her mouth remembering when Dylan said Carl is all he has.
"I really miss you, brother and I am sorry for all we've made you pass through." Nadosh said and Dylan smiled.
"You have no need to plead, Nadosh." Dylan said and she smiled.
"You can call me Natasha." She said smiling.
"Alright, Natasha." Dylan said.
Nadosh looked at Neon and smiled.
"I am glad you have a wife and I am wildly sorry for you leaving Carl." Nadosh said and Dylan smiled.
"I am married to Carl and here is our house help." Dylan said and Nadosh bowed.
"Wow, I am very sorry for calling her your wife." Nadosh said. "She is quite young."
"Same as you." Dylan said.
Nadosh looked away with her mother who was sitting on the wheelchair.
"Natasha!" Dylan called. "Meanwhile you look beautiful with a new look."
Nadosh smiled looking at him.
"I am married." She said raising up her ring finger.
"What!" Dylan exclaimed.
"Uncle got back the properties and didn't leave early for me and threw me out to live with mother." Nadosh said with tears on her face. "Then we discovered that mother had cancer which we had no money to take care of. I was approached by a man who said he had always loved me which I feel for. He told me that he would surely take care of us only on the option that I get married to him."
"Does he beat you?" Dylan asked and she shook her head.
"He takes care of me but I had to stop my education and..." Nadosh was saying and smiled. "I had to do what I had always wanted to do."
"Which is?" Dylan asked and Nadosh pointed to her face.
"Really he made you beautiful and I know he has a plan for your education." Dylan said smiling and Nadosh smiled.
"Mother has two months to live." Nadosh said and Dylan looked at his mother with pity.
"May I know where your wife is?" Nadosh asked.
Dylan pointed to the theater and Nadosh smiled.
"Wow, that is great." Nadosh said and Dylan smiled.
Neon stretched out her hand to Nadosh who shook her.
"Natasha." Nadosh said.
"Neon." Neon said with a smile on her face.
"American." Nadosh said.
"American." Neon said.
Nadosh opened her mouth in shock as she heard Neon.
"You look..." She was saying.
Neon laughed as she knew what people meeting her for the first time always think.
"My mother is a Chinese while father, American. I am half Chinese and half American." She said and Nadosh laughed.
"Mr. Rodriguez, your wife just gave birth to a set of twin." The doctor said walking to them and he smiled.
"May I go in to see her?" Dylan asked.
"Yes you can." The doctor said and Dylan smiled.
"Can I follow you in?" Nadosh asked and Dylan smiled nodding his head.
Nadosh looked at her mother who shook her head using sign.
"Alright." Nadosh said and wheeled her mother to the door of the room then entered in with Dylan and Neon.
Carl smiled seeing Dylan.
"Your children." She said holding the twin baby and Dylan smiled.
Neon stepped out the room then came back.
"Mother and father are here." Neon said and Carl smiled.
"I will be going to meet them." Dylan said.
Carl looked at Nadosh who stood smiling at her.
"Who is she?" Carl asked.
"My sister." Dylan said.
Carl took a deep breath then called for her to come close.
She placed the female on Nadosh hands and Nadosh smiled as she could see that the girl resenbled her father.
"Nadosh!" Carl called and She looked at her.
"I am Natasha. Nadosh was given to me by my father who also called me Natasha but I choose to go by the name Natasha." Nadosh said.
"Alright Natasha, I forgive you for all you have done just not to make our union be." Carl said.
"She looks like her father while he looks just like you." Nadosh said and they smiled.
Carl's mother entered the room and Carl pointed Nadosh to her mother.
"My mother." She said pointing to her mother.
Nadosh looked at Carl's mother and greeted her.
"How are you?" Mrs. Robin asked.
"I am fine, ma." Nadosh said and dropped the baby on the bed.
"I have to take my leave." She said and walked out to her mother.
Mrs. Robin touched her daughter's head.
"Who is she?" She asked her daughter referring to Nadosh.
Carl took a deep breath before answering her mother.
"A friend of Dylan." She said because she didn't want her mother feeling anyhow.
"Alright." Her mother said and picked the baby girl up.
"Where is father?" Carl asked.
"He is out there speaking with his son." Mrs. Robin said and Carl smiled.
Minutes later, Mr. Robin entered the room with Dylan and smiled seeing his daughter.
"My only child." He said.
Dylan raised her head up and sat on the bed placing her head on his lap.
"I am so in love with you." He said and she smiled.
