Two years later, Carl sat in the house with a protruding stomach. She rubbed it and smiled remembering how her marriage had been many opportunities for both she and Dylan.
She had pleaded with Dylan to go for the job given to him by a client abroad. He was to supervise the work being done.
"Carl, I can't leave you alone when you are pregnant." Dylan had said.
"How are you going to say that?, I am just pregnant and can take care of myself meanwhile that is what the baby wants." Carl said.
After long he accepted to what she was saying.
Back to the present,
Carl looked at her stomach and touched it.
"Now, I do regret telling him that, I long for his cuddle." Carl said.
She got up and put a call across to her husband as it was quite early in the morning.
"Missing me?" Dylan asked picking the call and Carl smiled.
"Yes. I will love to know when you will be back home." Carl said.
"By tomorrow." Dylan replied.
Carl grumbled as she wanted him to come that day.
"It's too long." She said and Dylan smiled.
"I should be back in the next twenty four hours." Dylan said.
"Really!" Carl exclaimed.
"Yes I need you to take care of both yourself and our baby." Dylan said and Carl smiled touching her stomach.
"Alright." She said and hanged up.
She got up and left to the kitchen where Neon was.
"Good morning, Mrs." Neon greeted.
Neon had offered to still be the cook in her house as Dylan didn't have a cook in the house while Melinda got married two months after Carl's marriage.
"Good morning, Neon." Carl said.
Neon brought out a plate and poured some food on the plate.
"Mrs." Neon called stretching out the plate to Carl who shook her head.
Neon understood that she was to fred her so she cleared the kitchen them walked out with Carl having the plate on her hand.
She began to feed Carl who ate the food.
Neon looked at the clock when she was done feeding Carl then at Carl and her protruding stomach.
"You will be seven months in by tomorrow." Neon said and Carl nodded. "When will sir arrive? '
Carl looked at Neon as she remembered her discussion with Dylan.
" He will be coming tomorrow. " Carl said looking at Neon." That is too long. "
Neon smiled knowing that she was not to tell her anything that is going to irritate her at this stage and telling her that the next day is close is going to make her irritated.
They spoke for some minutes then Neon walked up to the room she had been staying since the past six months.
She had been living with them for the past six months so as to be able to carter for Carl whenever Dylan wasn't around.
Carl looked at Neon and smiled. She had seen the love spark between she and Robin but whenever Carl told her that she is in love with Robin, she denies saying that Robin is quite older than her with many years.
"I wish she will accept that she loves Robin." Carl always said.
Robin had been coming to weed the compound twice in a month and Neon always wore a smile on her face whenever she saw him likewise did he also. They always talk together for some minutes before Robin goes back to his home.
Carl looked at Neon and smiled.
"I am really happy having you work for me." She said and Neon nodded.
Minutes later, she heard a sound from the door and Neon got up to check who it was.
Seeing Kamela through the window, Neon grinned with excitement as she looked at Carl.
Kamela had been coming to pay them a visit along with her child and Joel who followed sometimes when he doesn't have anything doing.
Neon took up a flash then the door opened for both Kamela and her child to come in.
"May I know who that is?" Carl asked and Neon smiled with a grin on her face.
"My lucky charm." Neon said and Carl laughed as the only person Neon calls her lucky charm is Kamela.
How Neon grew fond of Kamela had been a surprise to to Carl.
Kamela walked into the house with her son by her side.
"Aunt!" Kamela's son shouted and ran to Carl happily.
"How are you, Joshua?" Carl asked and the young boy smiled.
"I am doing fine." He said.
Carl smiled seeing the boy look at her stomach.
"I would like to be the first to see my friend." The boy said and the three females all laughed.
"You can't be the first to see your friend but his mother and father will see him before anyone else can." Kamela said holding her son who is a month to being three years.
Kamela talked to Carl and stayed for some hours.
She also spoke with Neon then presented some things before leaving.
Carl watched as they left and took in a deep breath.

The next day, Carl was up early as she craved for Dylan.
She walked out of her room and the opening of her door woke Neon up.
Neon sluggishly got up but on remembering Carl, she immediately left her room and switched on the light.
"Good morning, Neon." Carl said smiling as she saw Neon.
"Good morning, Mrs. Rodriguez." Neon said and walked Carl down the stair.
She walked her one of the couch in the living room.
"What will you like to have?" Neon asked and Carl touched her stomach.
"I will like to have a cup of water." Carl said and Neon nodded.
Neon walked to get her water.
"Here Miss." Neon said giving her the water.
Few minutes they heard a car drive into the house and Carl smiled.
Neon walked to the window and looked outside. She smiled as she saw Dylan walk out of the car. She looked at Carl who obviously was expecting words from her.
"It's Mr. Rodriguez." Neon said and Carl smiled.
"It quite early." Carl said and jumped up from the couch.
Neon followed her as she walked down to the door.
The door opened for them both and Carl smiled seeing Dylan.
"My love!" She called out running to him.
He smiled seeing her and raised her up giving her a peck on the lip.
He dropped her seconds later and smiled looking at Neon.
"Thank you for taking care of my wife." He said and Neon took a bow.
"It's all my pleasure." She said.
He turned to Carl who took wrapped her hands around him.
"How is my baby doing?" He asked looking at her stomach and Carl smiled.
"He is doing great. All he needs is his father's cuddle." Carl said and Dylan smiled as they walked into the house.
"Father will be coming along with mother this evening." Dylan said and Carl smiled as she was excited.
"Dad is back." She said and he nodded.
"Yes he is. He will love to celebrate his birthday tomorrow with you." Dylan said.
"When?" Carl asked and Dylan smiled as he knew what she was actually asking him about.
"Father came back yesterday." Dylan said and Carl looked angry.
"He didn't call his daughter." Carl said and Dylan smiled.
"He didn't want you to work yourself up." Dylan said and Carl smiled.
"More like my father." She said and Dylan smiled.
Hours later, Neon came running down the stairs.
"They are here." She said and they looked at each other.
"Who are they?" The couple asked and Neon began to laugh.
"Your parents." She said raising up the door control and they entered.
"My girl." Her mother called coming in with her cousin's daughter.
"Aunt." The young girl called Carl running to meet her.
She looked at Carl stomach and smiled.
"I can't wait to see how the baby is going to look like." The little girl smiled and looked at Carl who was smiling.
"The baby is going to be cute." Carl said.
"A boy or girl?" The little girl asked.
"A boy." Carl said smiling as she turned to look at Dylan who was behind her smiling.
"I am sure he is going to look like his father. If it's a girl, she is going to look like her mother." The little girl, Melissa said and Carl smiled remembering when she married.
Melissa was five year old when Carl got married so she was still quite young.
"Melissa!" Carl called and Melissa smiled jumping on Carl and gave her a tight hug.
"Easy Melissa." Dylan said and Melissa sat down and looked at him.
"I am sorry, Uncle." She said and Dylan smiled.
"It's alright." Dylan said. "How are your mother and father?"
"They are fine." Melissa said. "They sent their greetings telling me to greet the cutest couple."
Carl smiled and turned looking at Dylan who was at her back.
"You should come to take your sit beside your wife." Melissa said getting up from the couch.
She pulled Dylan who followed her smiling to sit beside Carl and they all smiled.
Neon walked to them with a tray containing drinks and cups.
Melissa ran to Neon when she was done serving them.
" Neon! " She called and Neon looked at her smiling.
