The following day, Carl walked out of her room with a smile on her face. She walked down the stairs and Melinda couldn't help but ask what was her source.
" You look happy, Miss. What is the source of your happiness? " Melinda asked.
"It's all because..." She was saying when she realized what she was about to say. "Do not worry."
She placed her hand on her chest.
"What is this about?" She asked no one but herself.
"Can I still be in love with him?" She asked herself and shook her head.
"I just behaved like that because I do not hate him." She said to herself.
She thought for a while and walked to a couch.
She was given a cup of tea which she drank then rested a bit before going out. She walked to the car and drove to the fashion house.
Getting to the fashion house, she walked out of her car and could feel her phone beep.
She walked into the fashion house and brought out her phone before heading to her office. She saw that it was a message from Dylan.
"You look beautiful today." He wrote.
This made her smile as she looked back.
Her eyes met with Dylan staring at her. She took her face off him immediately.
"Why is he staring at me?" She asked herself not expecting a reply.
She immediately walked into her office and was greeted by both the receptionist and Naomi.
Entering her office, she remembered that Sarah was to be celebrating her birthday.
She took up the telecom and spoke into it.
"Is Sarah in the fashion house, if she is then she should come into my office in the next one hour." She said and ended the call.
She looked up and smiled.
"He said that I look beautiful today." She said smiling.
An hour later, She heard a knock on her door.
"You may come in." She said and Sarah walked into her office with a smile on her face.
"Good morning Miss." Sarah greeted and Carl nodded her head smiling.
"You may have your sit." Carl said and Sarah nodded.
She sat on the chair which Carl pointed to.
Carl placed her hand on the table looking at Sarah happily.
"Have any idea why you are here?" Carl asked and Sarah shook her head.
Carl smiled looking at Sarah.
"Happy birthday." Carl said and Sarah smiled happily.
"Thank you, Miss." Sarah said.
"I would have loved to celebrate you but I came unprepared." Carl said and Sarah smiled.
"You do not need to do anything for me, Miss." Sarah said and Carl smiled.
"Considering the fact that I once relieved you of your job due to something you knew nothing about, I am meant to celebrate you." Carl said and Sarah took a deep breath.
"You have given me a reward for being faithful to you when you got to know the truth by promoting me." Sarah said and Carl smiled.
"I love your spiral." Carl said looking at Sarah then brought out an envelope which she handed to Sarah.
Sarah collected it and hesitated to open it as she remembered the last time she was handed something like this by Carl.
"Do open it, I am not relieving you of your job." She said and Sarah opened it.
She looked at Carl smiling.
"My birthday gift." She said and Carl nodded.
"Thank you, Miss." She added and Carl nodded.
"You may leave but do not let anyone know of this rather than Naomi."Carl said and Sarah nodded.
" Alright Miss. " She said and walked out of the office.
Carl smiled as she watched her leave her office. She thought of how she relieved Sarah of her job then to Dylan.
" If only he had known, he wouldn't have let himself fall into Clara's trap." She said to herself. "Yes I will say I still love him."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"This wouldn't have been if he didn't accept falling for her lies." She said. "I will still be with him but he chose to fall for her and even believed that she is Sarah."
She brought out her phone and stared into it irritated.
"I relieved Sarah of her duty cause of it. I can't let my heart yield to his plea anymore." She said and took a document.
Minutes later, Sarah walked into the office and Carl looked at her.
"Does she want to return what I gave her?" Carl asked herself.
Sarah took a bow and looked at Carl.
"Miss, I came to inform you that some of the reporters are here to see you." Sarah said.
"Where is Naomi?" Carl asked.
"Trying to plead with the reporters." Sarah said.
"Alright." Carl said and got up. "Let's go."
She walked out with Sarah and was about to lock her door when she saw Dan.
"When did you get here?" She asked.
"Some minutes ago. My wife has given birth but I overheard one of your former worker telling the medias lie about you." He said. "I had to come here?"
Carl, Sarah and Dan walked out to the reporters who were happy to see Carl.
"Are you the real owner of this fashion house?" A reporter asked.
"Yes I am." Carl said.
"Is it true that you don't depend on anyone." The reporter asked.
"Yes I don't." Carl answered.
"May we know how you started the fashion house?" The reporter asked and Carl told them of how she began it.
A lady walked forward holding a picture of Clara up.
"Do you know this lady?" The lady asked.
"Yes I know, she is Clara." Carl said.
She was asked how she knows Clara, her reason for employing Clara which she responded to.
She was asked of her reason for relieving Clara of her job which Sarah immediately answered.
"Defamation of Character and cheating." Sarah said and Carl looked at her.
"Yes that's right." Naomi said.
"We are speaking to..." The reporter was saying.
"I know but I think you will have to speak with the both of us as we were both affected." Sarah said.
She looked at the reporter who brought the microphone to her.
"I am the person who got relieved of my job because she made it seem like I was cheating on the boss by sleeping with her boyfriend which after we got to know about it, Clara was relieved of her job while I was rewarded for staying true." Sarah said and the reporter nodded.
" Over to you, Miss. Do you have anything to say? " The reporter asked Carl.
"I didn't arrest her because I felt letting her go with my man who is back to me." Carl said.
"Really she accepted him." Some people said at the back of the reporter.
"I haven't accepted him." Carl said.
The reporter shook her head.
"We were supplied some evidence by Miss Clara so we will need some evidence from you." She said.
"I do not have..." Carl was saying when Naomi cut in.
"We have some evidence." She said and Carl looked at her.
Naomi walked away from there and came back minutes later.
"Here!" She said giving them a recorder.
They listened to all in the recorder and shook their head.
"We won't rely on this as it can be tempered with." The reporter said.
"I will be back, Miss." Dan said tapping Carl.
Minutes later, Dan walked to them and cleared his throat.
"You can be arrested for this." He said and showed them that was sent to him by Joel.
The reporters looked shocked.
"She actually lied." They said and wanted to turn back.
"I will like you all to hold on." Carl said and they looked at her.
"I guess you walk for her so you should release this tomorrow." She said and they looked on.
"You should do this or prepare for legal actions to be taken against you." Dan said.
They looked at Dan and smiled shaking their head.
Seeing that they didn't believe him because of his casual dress, Dan brought out his badge which he usually hid underneath his shirt. The badge was given to him by the agency.
The people looked at one another and nodded.
"Alright, it will be." They all chorused.
"You may leave." Dan said and they left.
Carl thanked Dan while Sarah and Naomi shook hands and went their various ways.
Carl walked to her office and placed her head on her desk.
"Dylan!" She called and sniffled.
She smiled remembering their romantic moment together.
"I can only love you and no one else but I won't accept to be used anymore." She said.
Hours later, she left her office for her house.
All the workers said their goodbye and Sarah along with Naomi waited for all the workers to leave.

Carl drove to her house.
Getting to the house, she met Dylan in the living room on his knees.
"Carl!" He called and she looked at him.
"I don't love you." She said and tried going up but Dylan held her hand.
She hugged him as tears came off her eyes.
"Her lies about me is all because of you." She said with tears on her face.
"I accept but I won't allow her do that anymore." He said and she stood up straight cleaning her eyes.
"I think you should get going." She said and ran up the stairs.
"Carl!" Dylan called but she didn't answer.
After some minutes of waiting, he walked out of the house as he had a smile on his face.
"She surely still loves me." He said and walked away.
