Chapter 13 Cuteness overload

Hara was lying idly on the floor, attempting to find relief from the hot weather. The air conditioning made her feel uncomfortable, so she resorted to just lying down, occasionally playing with her hair or staring at the ceiling out of sheer boredom. Even playing with her phone had lost its appeal.
A few days had passed since her wedding, and Yuto's work schedule was incredibly demanding, causing him to return home late at night on a regular basis. While Hara didn't mind his work commitments, she found herself feeling extremely bored and lonely. The house was still devoid of hired workers, leaving her with minimal company. Occasionally, Clara would come by to lend a hand with some housework, but other than that, Hara spent most of her time alone and yearning for something to fill the void.
The front door swung open, revealing a weary Yuto. He walked into the house, but his steps came to a halt as he was taken aback by the sight of Hara lying on the floor.
"What are you doing?" Yuto asked, a slight smile playing on his lips, finding the situation rather silly.
"Bored," Hara replied shortly, expressing her current state of mind in a single word.
"You're early today," Hara inquired.
"Yes," Yuto responded before elaborating, "I finished all the work worth a week."
Hara, feeling a bit sleepy from the ongoing boredom but still curious, questioned, "Why?"
"We're going on a honeymoon," Yuto casually announced, closing the door behind him. The unexpected news suddenly injected excitement into the otherwise monotonous atmosphere, making Hara's eyes widen with surprise and anticipation.
"A honeymoon?" Hara repeated, a mix of surprise and excitement evident in her voice.
Yuto nodded. "Yes, father thought it would be a good opportunity for us to spend some quality time together and relax after all the hectic wedding preparations. "That sounds wonderful," she replied, her eyes shining with delight.
Yuto stepped closer to her and extended his hand. "Come on, let's go pack our bags. I've already made the arrangements."
Hara took his hand with a smile, and they headed to their bedroom to pack for their honeymoon. As she rummaged through her wardrobe, she felt a rush of excitement and anticipation for the trip. This would be their first time traveling together as husband and wife, and she couldn't wait to finally go out from this house.
The next day, they boarded a private jet to a secluded island resort, a paradise surrounded by crystal-clear waters and palm-fringed beaches. Hara was awestruck by the breathtaking scenery, and she couldn't believe that she was experiencing all of this with the man she had once feared and misunderstood.
They arrived at the hotel and found themselves in a room with a single bed.
"I'll sleep on the sofa," Yuto offered.
Hara simply nodded in agreement, gratefully accepting the chance to have the bed all to herself. After the long journey to the island, she wasted no time and promptly dozed off on the bed after freshening up.
Yuto finished packing their belongings and looked over at Hara, who had been extremely excited earlier. He couldn't help but smile, finding her enthusiasm endearing. Before heading to the bathroom, he decided to cover her with a blanket, concerned that she might get cold during the night. With a caring gesture, he tucked the blanket around her, ensuring her comfort before taking care of his own needs.
As the water from the shower cascaded down, Yuto couldn't help but reflect on his actions. "Wait, since when was I that caring?" he wondered to himself, surprised by his own gestures towards Hara.
Filled with excitement, Hara woke up very early that morning. However, Yuto was still fast asleep. Not wanting to disturb him, she decided to patiently wait until he woke up on his own. With a mixture of eagerness and anticipation for the day ahead, she sat near the window, watching as the first rays of sunlight gradually painted the sky with vibrant hues. As she waited, her heart fluttered with happiness, looking forward to the adventures on this island.
When Yuto finally woke up, Hara playfully nudged him to take a shower while he was still groggy from sleep.
At the hotel cafeteria, Hara was eating with remarkable speed.
"Slow down," Yuto advised, observing her while enjoying his own meal.
"I can't help it," she replied with a mouthful of food, her excitement still evident.
Yuto couldn't help but chuckle, amused by how Hara seemed to be growing more and more unpredictable with each passing moment. Her enthusiasm and energy were infectious, and he found himself enjoying the honeymoon trip even more because of her lively presence. His previous cold behavior towards her vanished little by little without him noticing.
It was now time to go to the amusement park, and Hara couldn't contain her excitement as she ran towards it. Any awkwardness she may have felt about the peculiar connection with Yuto faded away. At this moment, her sole focus was on having fun and savoring every moment of the experience. The past seven years, during which she didn't venture out much, seemed to melt away as the thrill of the rides and the joy of the day took center stage in her mind.
"Yuto, look! Can we ride that one?" Hara beamed, pointing at a thrilling ride.
Yuto simply nodded in response to her request, letting her know that he was willing to go on the ride she wanted.
As time went on, Hara's excitement only grew more infectious.
"Yuto! Can we go over there?"
"Yuto, can I try that game?"
"Yuto, can we take a photo here?"
To each of her requests, Yuto responded with a nod, wholeheartedly embracing Hara's enthusiasm and making sure they experienced everything she wished for at the amusement park. The day was filled with laughter and joy but well, not for long.
After the roller coaster ride, Hara felt much worse than she had anticipated. The spinning and sudden movements had left her feeling extremely dizzy and unwell.
Bluekkk—
"Are you okay?" Yuto asked with concern etched on his face.
"I'm fine," Hara managed to reply before succumbing to another bout of nausea and vomiting.
Seeing her in such distress, Yuto suggested, "Let's go back to the hotel."
Both of them were exhausted. Hara's dizziness had taken a toll on her, and Yuto was tired from accompanying her around the entire amusement park. Recognizing that it was best to call it a day, they decided to head back to the hotel. Observing Hara's unsteady walk, Yuto quickly reached out and took her hand to offer support. Hara was feeling so disoriented and dizzy that she didn't even notice his caring gesture. Holding her hand firmly, Yuto guided her back to the hotel, making sure she had the assistance she needed to safely navigate through her dizziness. His concern for her well-being was evident in his actions, even if Hara was not fully aware of it in her current state.
Inside the hotel room, as the dizziness began to subside, Hara finally realized that Yuto was holding her hand.
"Ah! Sorry," she said, feeling a bit embarrassed by her obliviousness, and gently took her hand back.
"No worries," Yuto reassured her with a warm smile, trying to hide his amusement at the situation. He understood that her dizziness had affected her awareness, and he didn't mind offering his support.
As the sky transformed into a canvas of dark orange hues, resembling a picturesque sunset, Hara's routine was predictable; she went to bed early again after washing up. Meanwhile, Yuto, clad in a comfortable robe, relished the tranquil atmosphere. Savoring a sip of his tea, he stood quietly, captivated by the beautiful view outside. The gentle breeze played with his hair, creating an elegant fluttering effect, and he found solace in the peaceful ambiance of the evening.
Observing Hara's peaceful sleep, her hair all tousled and covering her face, Yuto couldn't help but let out a soft laugh. Her complete unawareness of her surroundings and her carefree appearance only made her more endearing to him. After taking the last sip of his tea, Yuto went inside, gently closing the door behind him.
He approached the bed, tucking Hara in with a warm blanket, ensuring she was comfortable before he switched off the lights. As he settled onto the sofa nearby, he couldn't shake the feeling of contentment that enveloped him. Despite the unforeseen challenges of the day, he felt an overwhelming sense of happiness with Hara by his side.
As Yuto lay on the sofa, thoughts swirled in his mind, replaying the moments he had shared with Hara.
Her vibrant and unpredictable nature had ignited something within him, making him see her in a different light. The way she embraced life with excitement, her genuine happiness in simple moments, and her carefree spirit all captivated him in a way he hadn't expected.
Soon, the tranquility of the room embraced both of them as they drifted into a peaceful sleep.
