December 23 two days before Christmas.
Me and my friends decided to go to church and give thanks to the blessings we have these pass months. After that we ate at our favorite place and give our gifts to each other as tomorrow we will no be seeing each other because everyone with their families has plans for Christmas. We opened the gifts we received, Reisse received a scarf from me, Jan received a watch from Kazu, Ares received an erot*c game from Reisse, Vance received a capo and string for his guitar from Jan, Henry received a new mirror from Vance, Kazu received also a game like Ares received and it is from Ares, and I get a necklace from Henry, a key with a minimal and classy design and it is not just a necklace, it is a couple necklace meaning there is another of this and Henry didn’t know it as he thinks only how beautiful he is. After that, we decided to have a movie marathon at Reisse’s house as we will hang out and spend the night there, we enjoyed watching movies until we were forced to sleep because of tiredness. And as we wake up in the morning, we say goodbye to each other and separated ways as we go to our home. I arrived at home seeing my dad preparing the car because in a few hours we were going to his hometown to spend and celebrate the Christmas there together with my Lolo and Lola ( grandfather and grandmother ) and with his siblings together with their family and cousins as well. I take a bath, prepare my things and get some of my money, for me to spend. We arrived at my father’s house, meeting my grandma and grandpa together with my uncles and aunties as I give respect to them. I put all my things to our room where we will be sleeping, by the way, my grandparents’s house is quite big, so there is enough space for 15 to 20 people. And as soon as I give respects to all my uncles and aunties as well as my grandparents, I go straight to a little house where all my cousins hang out. And as soon as I meet them, they welcomed me and invited me to join their games. We have fun hanging out. my behavior in school is very opposite to what I’m showing to my cousins, with them I was so energetic and full of excitement. And in the night December 24, my cousins invited me to join them and go to the night market and hang out there, I accepted their invitation as I get the approval of my parents. In my mind “ I should have bring more money “ and then out of nowhere my grandparents give me money for me to spend. With the smile on my face, I thank them and say goodbye as me and my cousins go to the night market. As soon as we arrived there I didn’t expect what I see, the area of the night market is very wide and it is very crowded. With the excitement we have, we enter the market but then we got separated because of many people. Me together with my Ate ( A-te, my older female cousin ), are the only one together, and the others are separated. We continue to roam around as we visit every shop stand we saw. And then, my ate is gone, and I’m the only one, and it feels like a child who lost his parents in the mall. I roam around hoping to see my cousins, as when out of nowhere a lady bumped at me, and as soon as I take my eyes to her face saying I’m sorry, I was surprised on what I saw. It was Yssa, yes it was Yssa Sanchez, the girl that I kept seeing at my school. “ Kai, is that you? “, asking me and surprised because I was acting differently the way I act at my school. I replied yes, and we both laugh as how fate meet us together. Together, we continue to roam around as she is also separated from her sister Ms. Sanchez. And then, as we roam around, I notice something on her hands, it has the same design that my necklace have, I ask her where she get it and answered “ it was my sister’s gift to me, and the thing is that, it was has a coupled necklace. And then I realized how small the world is, in many people, it was Yssa who has the partner of my necklace. Thinking this thought as I blushed In front of her. She asked and thank God, Ms. Sanchez arrived, saying hi to me and treating the both of us in a food stand, and there I saw all my cousins eating as they give my name to the announcement room in that area and to announce I was a missing child. Everyone was laughing as Yssa and Ms. Sanchez say goodbye to me. But before Yssa left, I gave her my gift, and it was a necklace which is similar to the design of what I gave to Ms. Sanchez. She gave thanks to me saying “ I’m sorry, I don’t have a gift for you but “, and suddenly out of nowhere she kissed me on my cheeks saying “ for the mean time this is my gift to you, I’ll give you my true gift the next time we meet again “, she run towards her sister leaving me turning in red, blushing as I asked myself what just happened. And then I tell myself “ this is a the real gift, merry Christmas “.
December 25, it’s Christmas day, I received lots of gifts from my uncles and aunties as well as my grandparents. Delicious foods are serve so I fill up my tummy until it gives up. We spend the Christmas with everyone happy until the day ends. And then tomorrow morning I say goodbye to them as we will now go home, there is my friends, waiting for my arrival and proceed to their unexpected plans.
