Red's POV
"It's funny how fate played our lives, tsk" I mumbled as I laugh. I turn my back and look at the crazy girl.
"Come with me," I said and walk past her. She held my arm cause me to stop. I didn't look at her and stared ahead of me.
"Why would I?" she asks, I scoffed and smirked and glanced at her sideways. I shake my head and held her hand on my right arm and face her. I stared straight at her eyes, she didn't budge even a little. I smiled in my mind, she's so much different from Quenda. She's strong and she knows when to act. Though she acts crazy sometimes, it doesn't mean that she's really crazy. She's just like that.
"Wanna know the reason for Quenda's death?" her eyes widen but she hides it from me, real quick. I drop her hand and continued walking. I let her decide on her own. If she'll follow me, then good. If not, that's okay. It's not my problem anymore. She'll die in too much curiosity.
I am near in the middle of the pathway when I heard her footstep at my back. I smiled and walks my way back into the car. I greeted my farewell at the guard beside the gate and went inside my car. I waited for the crazy girl to hop in but she's just like a turtle, too slow.
"Where are you taking me?" she asks upon entering the front seat. I rolled my eyes and starts the engine and drove back to Z's condo unit.
"You'll know once we're there," I said and silently take turns. The sky is now dark, the sun finally sets behind the darkness.
"I'll ask you why did you kill her? Did I plead you that time right? So why?" I close my eyes and heave a sigh and open it again. She can't wait, huh? Tsk, she should learn how to wait because patience is a virtue. I shake my head and didn't say anything. Let alone make her guess why I did such a thing. It's her fate, it's not my fault.
Fate used me as an instrument to make Quenda's death be like that. It's no use of an argument, it's already done. As others say, what's done is done, there's nothing you can do about that. Case closed.
I rolled my eyes and park the car in front of the building. I went out after that and a guy went near me. I tossed up the key to him and walks straight without looking if she's following me or not. She can catch up with me anytime.
My phone rang just as I was about to go to the elevator. I stop and let the elevator close. Putting it in my right ear, I waited for the person in the other line to speak out.
"Where are you?" I rolled my eyes and sigh. He's acting like he doesn't know even though he tracks me all the time. I have no escape when it comes to him, that jerk.
"We're here," I said, I glance at my side when I felt her presence. She did the job to open the elevator door by clicking the button on the right side.
"We're?" I nod my head even though he can't see it. We entered the elevator when it opens and settled me at the far side corner and the crazy girl went to the opposite side.
"Yes, make sure to clean up your mess," I said and ends the call. I cross my arm over my chest and stared at my reflection in front of me. I saw how she was shaking in cold through my peripheral vision. I sigh and unbutton my gray blazer. Ending, I ended up on my white-long-sleeve and my skirt. I toss my blazer in the air, it's a good thing she catches it in time, else I would likely make her buy me a new one.
"Wear that," I said and lean on my side. Staring at my reflection makes me remember how I loved to wear clothes and anything in red. Now that I realized it, I am wearing my red headband. My hair freely flows down up to my waist.
I stand up straight when the elevator stopped moving and opens its door. We're here, finally! I can rest my feet from all that has happened earlier. Oh, I almost forgot, we have tasks to do tonight.
"Let's go" I uttered and walks my way out of the elevator. She followed me until I stop in front of a door. I open the door and went straight to the couch in the living room. The twins are in the kitchen I guess. I heard their voices that's why.
"Feel at home, crazy girl," I said, she looks at me, no, she glared at me. I smiled innocently at her and lean on my seat.
"I'm not crazy and I have a name," she said through gritted teeth. I playfully roll my eyes and cross my legs.
"Vera! Where are the snacks? We have a visitor" I called out, I heard some noise and I just shrugged it off. Maybe they're preparing something. And Veramina Corezen is Z's name. Captain D, his real name is Capricus Dander Corezen.
"Now that we're here, can you tell me the whole details?" the crazy girl asks as she takes a seat on the couch in front of me. Vera appears in time before I can say something.
"Hi! I'm Vera, you are?" Vera seems friendly with new people but to tell you honestly, she's just purely acting out. She's not friendly at all. She's aloof that's why I am only her trusted friend. I shake the thought off and smiled at the crazy girl. She's staring at Vera, straight in the eyes.
"Kannah..." she uttered, I raise a brow. Why did I think of that bratty mean girl? It sounded like Kanner. I heave a sigh and take some cookies on the tray Vera prepaid.
"Nice to meet you, Kannah. Have some snacks first. R--Naiah, I'll just take a bath. I'll leave you two, then" she says and went upstairs. I saw D went out earlier so it's just me and Kannah, as she said.
"You're not Naiah, why pretend still?" she asks, I smiled and pour orange juice into the glass. When done, I push the other glass in front of her. I take another cookie as well as my drink and went back to my seat.
"Well, I just want to, why? Have a problem with that?" I ask her, she's only looking at me like I'm out of my mind. Raising a brow, I stared at her eyes until she, herself broke our gaze.
"What's your name?" she asks, why does she have so many questions? I rolled my eyes and sip on my glass of juice. I gulped down and puts the glass at the table in front. I look at her as I cross my arms. She's looking at me and her eyes are filled with curiosity. I smiled and click my tongue. Tilting my head, I introduce myself.
"I'm Sattiana (read as Sa-Cha-Na)" that's my real name, my second rather, that makes my full name, Red Sattiana Sequovia. It's crucial to say my first name, it has a deep reason when I say crucial.
"Now, what do you want to hear from me?" I took the initiative to make her ask the questions troubling her up to now. She bit her lower lip as I saw how her hands clasp in her lap, tight. She blinks several times. She's hesitating, why so? I smirked and lean my back in my seat.
"She died trying to lure you out from pretending that your Quenda" I blurted out and her eyes widened with what she heard from me. Yes, she did act that she's Quenda but if she's that clever, I'm more than that, and I was able to know her tricks. She looks at me and her hands are really shaking right now.
"H-how...how did s-she know?" she asks, she's now teary-eyed. I shake my head and lift an eyebrow.
"Do you really think you can fool your sister? Especially me?" I scoff and chuckled. She looks at me but said nothing.
"Then think again," I said as I shake my head.
"How is that connected with her death?" she asks me, her lips quivering when she asked. I tilt my head and sit properly. I put my hands on my crossed legs and lean my head closer.
"That's the reason why she died even before you started your acts. Even if you planned to pretend that time that you're Quenda, it's her fate to die" I slowly said those words making her swell up tears flow down into her pretty face.
"Fate? You're talking nonsense" she said through gritted teeth. I laugh at her and lean my back on my seat.
"Nonsense you say? But that's the sad truth, learn to accept it. Years have passed, Kannah" I voiced out, my voice turned cold and my gaze is blank. She seems taken aback by my sudden change but I don't care.
"To make you understand my point, I'll tell you how it happened," I said and look at her with a blank expression. I tilt my head and stand up from my seat and put my hands at the table as I leaned my face closer to her. I smirk as I whispered her the words,
"How your sister begged me to save you from death"
