When I finally let out the pain I kept for over thirty years just in a space of minutes, I felt a lot of relief and now I am not even sacred for myself anymore" He said and stopped for a while letting out a short chortle at his own words before he continued;
"I am only scared for my old mother and sister, especially my Sister, my mother has spent 92 years on this Living space. She is not even worried about death anymore. But my only sister  has only clocked 54. I can't stand her life being short-lived"
Dino nodded, relating to every bit of his words.
Lati abruptly stood up, he still had more to say, his back turned to both Dino and his friend Camp. His eyes roamed about the entire sitting room trying to catch a glimpse of Lucas. He did not see him
"Where is Lucas?" He asked turning his back
"Oh. He must be with Kojo somewhere around the house. They play video games together sometimes. You want him here?" Dino responded
"Never mind" Lati answered his back turned at them again. "My daughter Mitah did not die in the hands of the kidnappers" Lati said exhaling loudly after muttering these words. He felt a huge fear in his heart and his chest tightened.
Camp rose up and tapped his shoulders "Lati..don't...." He cautioned already aware of what his friend was about to utter.
"I can't keep this pain in my heart anymore Camp! It hurts! It hurts Badly. Perhaps I would feel another relief just like I felt barely an hour ago"
Camp became speechless. He withdrew his hands from Lati's shoulders and looked down.
Dino still stared on anxiously and attentively, not saying anything.
"Oliver Basin's son did not shoot Mitah. I did. I pulled that trigger but I ended up missing my target" He said and immediately he did, he shut his eyes.
But still, Dino did not utter a word. He only took a deep breath. 
Lati turned towards him, and he noticed he didn't react in shock to what he said. 
"Did you...did you hear what I said?" Lati muttered his eyes already gleamed with tears
Dino nodded affirmatively. "I heard you Sir. You shot Mitah. I knew that already and I know you must be going through so much pain because of it so I chose not to bring it up"
"You did? How....?!" Lati asked shocked. He took a glance at Camp. He was the only one who knew about this. But he trusts him so well. He wouldn't spit that out to anyone
"How did you know?" Camp also queried; his eyes widened
"I have done my research. I hired a private investigator. A secret agent. Mitah's death came to me as a big shock and tragedy. I couldn't concentrate on managing my business for months. I felt so much anger towards her supposed killers and I was more angry when I heard the Mastermind behind her Kidnap, Basin did not pay for his crime"
Lati glanced at him, still his awe as he listened to his narration.
"So I told the Secret agent to research more and I eventually confirmed the truth"
Camp shook his head in awe. Truly there is no information that can stay hidden forever. 
Lati was speechless and yet to recover from the shock. He felt his legs shaking so he abruptly settled down on the Chair
"How did your secret agent find out if I may ask?" Camp asked
"Oh. Through someone. Nopaz's cousin"
"Oh..Of course. There is still Nopaz. How foolish we were not to know that boy could say something. We still thought he was in prison"
"I doubt my daughter will ever forgive me" Lati said his face expressing sadness and deep regret "I led her to her untimely death because of my impatience. She begged me, she was terrified. She begged me to drop the gun. But I didn't listen to her. I was overconfident in my military skills" 
"Hmmm" Dino hummed. He did not know what to say. He could not blame him for her death. He was already hurting. That would be so unfair. He had lost his wife, and his only Child and now he truly understood why he wanted Lucas to be by his side always.
"I hope she appears in my dream. To yell at me, to blame me! But she hasn't for over ten years now and that is making me more guilty and terrible as the days go by!" Lati uttered wailing like a little child
Camp moved closer to him, giving words of consolation and encouraging him to be strong
Dino could not deny that even though he pitied Lati, he still felt a bit of anger at him for being the cause of her death, but he really did not know who to blame, whether it's Lati or the kidnappers, because if she wasn't kidnapped, Lati wouldnt have missed his Target and shot her
He planned to spend the rest of his life with Mitah, he would have actually preferred that they separated instead of never seeing her any more. It hurts so bad. For eleven years now he has tried to think less about it. Each time if does, he always felt a Terrible migraine. 
He blinked his eyes so the tears that were gleamed in there wouldn't be so obvious. He cleared his throat. "Excuse me" He said, unsettled walking hastily to one of the rooms.
Lati's cries intensified and efforts by Camp to Calm him down proved abortive that Lucas could hear his wails from the room. He came out with Kijo. They were both worried and terrified something had happened
"Grandpa, what's wrong? Are you crying? Why?" Lucas queried shaking his legs as Lati refused to respond. Instead he was breathing heavily. 
"Lucas, go back in, Your Grandpa will be fine"Camp replied him touching his shoulders gently. 
But Lucas stood still worriedly. "What is wrong with him" he asked 
But Lati could barely respond to that,  he stood up, wore his spectacles and grabbed his car keys on the table in front him. 
After a minute, Dino came outside. He was calmer now. 
"General, you are leaving already? " He asked quite shocked of his swift plan to leave. He didn't also fail to notice his red swolly eyes. His despaired look. He knew he was hurting from the recent built up emotions.
"Yes. I must leave now Dino, Thanks for the food"
Dino still stared on at him worriedly. He nodded his head and instructed Lucas to pack his things so he could follow his Grandpa home. 
"No, No...he can't follow me home today. I am honestly not in the right frame of mood or mind right now. I don't want him to continue looking at me in this state. Let him stay. Tomorrow is weekend. I will come get him" Lati said. 
"Okay General" Dino responded. 
"Bring the Car keys Lati. I will drive" Camp said grabbing the car keys from his hand. They both walked towards the door and Dino and Lucas followed them outside. They got into the Car, Lucas and Dino watched the Car zoom off. 
"Bye Grandpa" Lucas said waving his hands. He didn't know what exactly was going on with his grandfather but he understood he needed some time and space to get settled
Dino pursed his lips and tapped Lucas's shoulder. "Come on. Let's go back in"

Lati sat to eat his fruit salad made by himself. He preferred no one to do it for him. His late wife, Helena taught him how to and he felt no one could make it better than she did. Than she had taught him. He cleared his throat and picked the fork when he heard loud knocks on the gate repeatedly.
He wondered if his security officer was asleep. "This boy has been drinking again" he murmured to himself
He shrugged and continued eating, he felt by the time the person knocks a few more times, Thomas might wake up from his dream. But the knocks became persistent
Lati stood up, he was fuming. He got outside and discovered his Security Officer was no where to be found
"Thomas!" He called twice but he got no response. Lati peeped through the slides of the gate. He saw a feminine figure. He wasn't sure if he knew her.  
"How can I help you?" He asked her, finally letting the gate open, his eyes roaming the lady's figure. Her face looking quite hardened, her expression non chalant and how loudly she was chewing gum irritated Lati. He got angrier when he got no response
"I said, how can I help you?! Have you come here to just stand by my gate and say nothing!"
