Lati was still amazed and fixed his gaze on the young lady, he couldn't even deny this is his child. She looks so much like his late daughter, Mitah. Mitah was a replica of himself. 
"You are that child? You weren't terminated?" Lati queried his eyes roaming across her entire body. 
God indeed has a way of showing mercy. To think this child would later be his only hope for fatherhood. In his inner mind, he thanked Dorcas for not listening to him. 
Terra yawned and positioned her legs on the cushion with her shoes on. She seemed not to pay attention to Lati's amazed reaction. She wondered why he had to ask such a weird question after all her mother chased her out of the house and told her she was going to meet her father. 
Didn't he set his eyes on her when he was little? Why did he have to pretend now.
"Father, Get me something cold , I am thirsty" 
"Get your shoes off that cushion!. Are you this ill mannered, do you know how expensive this cushion is?" Lati blurted out to her his face laced with disbelief and anger. 
"Chill man" Dorcas murmured. 
Lati scoffed unbelievably. He pointed towards his picture hanging on the wall
"See that?! I am not an ordinary person but a retired soldier, I will not tolerate your spoilt behavior. Put those legs down or I swear I will bring out my gun I have refused to touch in years!" Lati blurted out angrily. At that moment, he had forgotten she was his daughter. He despised indiscipline.
Terra was terrified for a minute. She instantly dropped her legs down. "Chill Old Soldier, my legs are down Geez!" She uttered trying to conceal her body's fearful response to Lati's words. 
Lati rolled his eyes at her. Afterwards, he sighed and asked her if she would like to take anything.
"Uhh...No, I am fine for now" she responded swiftly her seating posture very much composed. She was still get to recover from the fear. That kind of fierce face, she had never come across it. She has had encounters with police Officers, but not a military personnel. She was taken off guard. 
Lati smirked. He would need no further partenity test. This is his child. She looks so much like him. 
"It's nice to meet you Terra. But how uncivilized of your mother to drop you here with me without informing me beforehand."
"At least this place is much better than that my step father's house in form of a chalet" Terra murmured under her breath as she rest her back further to enjoy the cool air from the Air conditioner
"Excuse me?" Lati uttered unable to hear her audibly
"Oh. It's nothing. I would love to have something now"
"Oh. Really? What would that be?"
"Cold beer" Terra muttered
"We don't have that here. Unfortunately, I have stopped drinking alcohol many years ago"
"So what do you have?!" Terra queried fluttered. 
"Malt, Fruit wine, beverages.."
"Oh... What? No! I need a bottle of beer please. I can't be taking all those"
"Well, we don't have that. But don't worry, I will send someone to get that for you. I want to satisfy you right now but after today, if you are going to be staying in this house, you would have to seize from drinking alcohol"
Terra shook her head unbelievably. She could barely survive a day without a bottle of beer. What has her mother gotten her into? Truly, not all that glitters is gold in her situation right now. This is a luxurious household but her most preferred drink gets banned. 
She was still grumbling in disappointment when they heard some footsteps. It was Lucas. He looked smartly dressed. He would be going out with Dino for an outing
"Hi. Grandpa!. How do I look?" He asked grinning and turning around so his Grandfather could have a complete view of his looks. 
"You look...."Lati paused before he responded with a thumbs up ."Sharp!"
Lucas grinned satisfactorily.  His father, would be taking him out to his favourite Disney Land and has promised to come pick him up
"I wonder what is taking Dino so long. He should be here by now" Lati said glancing at the wall clock. 
"Uhh... Grandpa, who is this?" Lucas queried just noticing the young lady seated in the sitting room
"Oh. That's my newly found daughter. Your aunt" Lati responded
"You have another daughter asides my mother?!" Lucas asked amusingly
"I just found out. It sounds strange, I know. But it's the truth. I will explain to you later"
"Wow, Old Soldier, and where is this your other daughter? Is she prettier?" Terra asked anxiously
Lati was quiet for some seconds before he responded: "She is late"
"Oh...Dead? Wow. That's Sad. How did she die though?"
"I wouldn't want to talk about that young lady. You just got here. Stop asking too many questions" Lati said dismissively looking obviously uncomfortable.
"Lucas pls call Lupam to get Terra here a bottle of beer" 
Lucas nodded and did as he was instructed.

"It's a lovely place you got here" Dino said examining the supermarket his former secretary Erica just opened. 
"All thanks to you Sir. You set me up for this. You gave me the money. Please Sit Sir" Erica said and instructed her sales lady to get him a Chair
Dino adjusted his blazer suit and settled on the Chair. "I still feel bad I made you lose your job though"
"You compensated me. I make here daily what I made monthly as your secretary" Erica said gratefully. 
"Hmm. That's lovely to hear. Erica can I take you out on a date. A proper date this time. Not Camouflage" Dino requested courteously with a smile. 
Erica felt overwhelmed. She didn't ever think she would hear this genuinely from a man she admired. It was a dream come true for her. 
"A real date. Really?" She asked unable that hide her excitement
"Yes Erica. I already booked a private seat for us at the restaurant. It's slated for 6pm. I am really sorry for not informing you earlier. I have had busy week days and since today is weekend and I have less work to do, I decided to grab that chance"
"Oh..my...6pm, that's like an hour time. I don't even have a dress to wear!" She gasped
"Don't worry. I will take care of that on our way. Shall we leave in few minutes?"
"Err. Sure. Let me just handover to my sales rep" Erica said rising to her feet. 
"That's fine" Dino said. 
Lati switched on the TV to watch the network news when an alarming headline was displayed. "Ruthless politician and drug Lord, Majah Martins murdered by his personal assistant". It was stated that his personal assistant who had secretly joined forces with Majah's oppositor poisoned his drink to get rid of him.  Strategies have been carried out to eliminate him but Majah would outsmart every one of them until this very one. He was a terror the people are tired of and a lot were relieved as his death was announced, however the personal assistant was immediately arrested. 
Lati smiled and uttered:"Hmmm. How are the mighty fallen" 
He didn't ever imagine he would witness a day Majah would be outsmarted and killed. He was so powerful that hebcould almost view him as an immortal. 
****Few days after
Dino travelled to a foreign country miles away for a business meeting. It was a Country mostly filled with Arabians. He lodged into an hotel with his personal Assistant Gany, they settled in with their bags and Dino ordered for them plate of food. In few minutes, the waitress was at the door Knocking. 
Dino opened the door and he opened his mouth agape at who he saw. To say he was terrified is an understatement. Sweat instantly engulfed him
