Chapter 78: Epilogue Anger could drive us to somewhere we never really wanted. You may regret it once you get there, but the mistake was part of my growth, what mattered was I managed to come back on track. Sulking in pain, anger, and confusion felt like hell. It felts like walking somewhere you did not know. It felts like being caged in a huge space where no matter how you run, you could find the end. Just darkness all over you. Escape could never put an end to a battle, it will only hunt you again and again. So, I chose to finally face it. The battle that was plotted for me. Standing now, looking at everyone around me. With witches and werewolves, among us, I am the only half-blooded. Being different is a blessing and a curse, and they were part of my Twisted Fate. “Mom!” Orion called me while running in my direction. He’s six now and Radian would be turning five. “They're here!” He said and held my hand. He pulled me to the field and saw the Alphas with their wives. It’s been five years since that day, and we kept the alliance. “I must say welcome,” I said and smiled. “You are late, Miradel.” And she appeared next to me. “Your, I have been here before them.” She denied, “Right, Orion?” “I did not sense you.” My son innocently said. “Come on, you guys must be tired.” Unfortunately, Linda was still in labor. And I must do this. “Alpha! Radian escaped; I can’t find him.” Gilo said with a worried face. I thought he would just finish the war and come back to his family but he stayed with us. “Help him find your brother,” I asked Orion and he gladly did. “You have changed a lot, Alpha Zenith.” Alpha Kiel said making me chuckle. “It’s just for a show in front of my sons, go and feel yourself at home. I prepared villas for each of you, I thought you’d bring your children, I was looking forward to meeting them.” I said and made my way to my husband. He personally arranged the party for our son’s birthday party and the fifth anniversary of that war. We still celebrate it until now. “How’s everything?” He turned to me and kissed my cheeks. “Almost perfect.” He answered he had been working hard with pack duties and being a good dad. He had improved a lot, from being rebellious to a great man. “Okay, Radian escaped from Gilo again. He had been sneaking out a lot.” “Let him if he doesn’t leave the territory. Kids need that, to explore.” I nodded and he continued with his work. I sniffed the air when there was something. Blood? I ran to where it came from but it came from the forest, it was approaching then I smelled Lizo’s scent. He was topless carrying an unconscious lady. “Alpha, her heartbeat is getting weaker.” He sounds worried and scared. I walked to him and looked at her wound. She seemed stabbed in her chest. I tried to heal her, but my power was not enough. “Radian!” I called him and we heard noises from the bushes. He jumped out from that and ran to us. “Mom,” I smiled and picked him up. “This lady needs help,” I said and he held his hand. “Is this your mate, Gamma Lizo?” He asked. Lizo slowly nodded. “You took long to find her; she’s badly hurt because of that.” The pain lingered on his face when my son said that. “Thank you, Lord Radian.” He said when the wounds closed and her heart beats fine. “She’ll wake up soon, she isn’t a rouge so expect his packmates to visit you anytime soon,” I said and put my son down. “Go play with Delta Gilo,” I said, and he seemed not to hear what I say. He always wanted to be alone. He’d only show once we need him. Maybe he’s tired of helping. “Orion, talk to you brother, he seemed not in good mood.” “Take her to the pack house, she’d be safer there,” I said and he bowed his head. I went to visit the Alphas in their villa. Alpha Riva with her Beta and Gamma was resting on their terrace. “I hope you don’t need anything else,” I said and she rolled her eyes at me. “It’s too hot in here.” I flicked my wand to change the temperature in her villa. “That’s it, you can go now. I want to sleep.” I checked the other Alpha and they were fine. “Alpha Zenith!” Aria called me when she saw me. “Your villa looks great.” “Thank you,” “But don’t you have a mini fridge?” “Aria,” Titus suddenly meddled “Oops sorry, you don’t know that.” I nodded, she’s kinda weird all the time. “I hope you enjoy your stay.” “We do, thank you,” while Alpha Titus was only doing her thing. ‘Alpha, I think we need you here.’ Devon suddenly called me. “You’re welcome, I have to go.” I ran to the infirmary and saw Linda was still pushing her baby out and Gunner was on the floor. Lior and Devon were not allowed to come inside. I slapped him so he would wake up, which he instantly did cause he finally heard the cries of his baby. “Great job, Linda.” I held her hand and wiped her forehead. “I must leave you too now.” I did not want to hear how dramatically Gunner would speak. “They’re fine now.” “I cannot believe it; he was so dramatic.” Devon ranted while walking with me. “You haven’t seen your wife give birth, Devon.” They’re stubborn, I was worried their mate might in danger while they were here stubbornly avoiding finding their mates. “Lizo came with his mate a while ago, his mate was severely wounded. Do you think your mates are safe somewhere?” “We just don’t rush things, Alpha.” No, they are both afraid of commitments. “Okay.” I let them do their thing and I went to find my sons. I run into the woods and go to their favorite spot. Gilo was there, unconscious. “What did you do to him?” They both look away and climbed up on the tree. “Come down, you both and I sat on the ground. They sat next to me, so I glance at my Radian. “What’s the matter?” “Mom, I have a bad dream,” Radian said. “What is it?” “You, dad, Orion, and the whole pack lying on the ground dead. The houses around were burning…and…I was the only one left.

I liked it and I've already seen it. It's a great movie.
