Chapter 77: The New Beginning /The End
“Rylan…baby,” I whispered and reached his face. Tears fell from his eyes, but he had no emotion. “Save me…” I begged and he pulled the knife out. He broke into tears when I fell on the ground to catch me.
If this was my end, at least I knew he still love me. At the edge of my eyes, I saw Linda break the pendant of Venon’s necklace.
“Zenith…” he was panicky when I bleed too much. Then my stomach started to grow. My son is hurt. We all heard its heartbeat.
“Get away from her!” Lizo shouted and pulled me away.
“No, he’s back, it’s okay.” I held Rylan tightly, I did not want to let him go. I might lose him again. My wound lightened up with blue light and soon it healed. My son saved me again. Then it returned to normal as if he was saying finish everything now.
“Thank you, my little fighter.”
The war has ended and pulled him into a tight hug. “I missed you so much.”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I hurt you.” He was whispering again and again.
“Let’s finish everything now, our little fighter is about to be born,” I said and he helped me stand up. I walked to the packed clinic while Rylan never leave my side. I noticed everyone was following me, maybe they were curious about what I meant about finishing everything.
“Help him, my little fighter,” I said when I get into his room. Dion’s son. I placed my hand on his forehead. And it pulled me into dreamland. A ten-year-old boy was sitting on the ground so I sat beside him. To my surprise, he kneeled in front of me.
‘Forgive us for we have sin, our Queen.’ He said, and when I looked at his face. It was Dion I am seeing. I smiled at him and held his cheek.
“Why?”
‘The moon goddess always visits me here, she said you are the only healer that could cure me. She told me to ask for forgiveness for all my people, you are her favorite daughter and their dark heart wounded you.’
“She said that?” He nodded.
“I forgive you, all your people. Your father, and your family. Forgive me too. I caused your family pain too.” The boy smiled and nodded.
“You are long forgiven, our Queen.” He said and I was taken back to the room. The little boy opened his eyes. But he was back in his original body. He was back to being a toddler. I carry him up and looked at everyone.
“We are taking him with us,” I said. But they were looking at my stomach.
“You are giving birth now,” Miradel spoke and my stomach started to hurt.
“I want to give birth at home.” Rylan offered his hand which I gladly accepted. He held Miradel’s arm too and in a blink, we were already in our infirmary.
“How did you do that?”
“I did not, our little fighter did. He told me to.” He said and took the child from my arm.
“Holy frog! Do I have to do this alone?” Miradel panicked when she realized what was going on. “We should wait for them.”
“None of them knew how to give—aww.”
“Shoot! Okay, breathe in, and out. I’ll prepare everything first. She went out and Rylan sat on the ground next to my bed. He held my hand and kissed it.
“I’m sorry, I was not on your side.” The pain was too evident to deny. “I don’t know how to forgive myself, I hurt you.” His eyes turned reddish again.
“You have nothing to worry about.”
“I knew everything, I was watching you fight but I cannot make myself move as I want to. I wanted to hold you, hug you, and kissed you but my body was trying to kill you. She implanted a strange liquid into my body. They revived me using a wizard’s soul. But I could still feel my inner wolf.” He spoke with pain.
“You seem to not remember me,” and his tears fell again.
“I sealed my memory about you in my ring so they can not use you as my weakness thinking you are already dead. I saw it you died in my eyes.” He kissed my hand again.
“I’m sorry, I’ve caused you pain.”
“It doesn’t matter now, I have you now.” I winced in pain. “He wants to come out badly.” My son is about to be born, I could smell his scent now. Our child is a boy. Miradel returned and she started the procedure.
I heard them coming, while I was pushing my son out. Soon, I heard him cry. Despite my exhaustion. My heart was full of happiness and pain at the same time. I am happy that I have them finally, but in pain and sorry for Dion and his son.
When I held my son, it seemed like the beginning and the end met soon as I met his eyes.
“Welcome, my little fighter. My little Radian.” I said and Rylan held his little hand. Behind him were Linda and Lizo. I smiled at them and mouthed. “Thank you.”
Alpha Riva took the toddler from Rylan’s arms.
“What about this little boy? What’s its name?” She asked and I looked up at Rylan.
‘Name him, he’s our son too from now on.’ I told him through our link.
“Orion, his name is Orion.” He said and my smile grew wider. We would give him a family.

It was nearly midnight and I was still on the terrace, swaying calmly to put Orion to sleep while, Radian as been in deep sleep.
“What are you looking at?” He kept looking at the sky every night until he fell asleep. He would go wild if we could not see the stars at night before going to bed.
It has been a week since the war ended and we were finally living in peace. We burned everything in that pack that belong to Venon. Yet protect that area. Orion might want to lead a pack someday and build his own. That territory would remain for him.
“They’re beautiful, isn’t it?” I said and he giggled. “Aren’t we going to sleep already?” I asked him but he stayed still. I wonder if he was looking for his father. I swayed and hummed consistently until I heard him breathe uniformly.
“Need help?” My husband came but I hush him immediately.
“Shh,”
I walked to his bed and carefully placed him there.
He was still on the terrace, so I went to him. He wrapped his arms around me while we were looking at the stars.
“I couldn’t thank the moon goddess more, she gave me the most powerful she-wolf in the world. Even if I was not with you, look what you achieved. You managed to build your pack with the strongest fighters. I sometimes feel useless.” I chuckled when he said that.
“I would be long dead without you. You gave me a reason to live. So, I fought hard for you…for us.”
