A week after that, the cocktail party was held as Haven's dad had some problems and needed to postpone it.
At night, Aviana stares at the gown that Haven gave her to wear when being his partner at the cocktail party but now looks like it was impossible entirely.
"I should return this…" Aviana said as she got ready to go out.
But when she was about to open the door. Haven was already standing in front of her door, in full black tuxedo, looking like a prince in her eyes but she looked away.
"Good you're here…I want to give you back the gown…" she said but Haven pushed her in.
"Wear it…" he said in a deep voice.
"Why…?" she asked and facing his face bravely.
"You're gonna be my partner, as secretary…" he said.
"Go find someone else, I'm not interested…"
"Whether you're interested or not, you can't say no, it's my order as your boss, the CEO…" he said.
"Well, if that's the rules…you should know that my shift already ended, a long time ago and now was my private time…" she defended herself.
"I bet you didn't look at the contract properly when the first time you signed…it said that, I can steal any of your one day entirely if you didn't come to work for a week without reason and I…have proof for that" he smirked.
Aviana looked at Haven's eyes, not even a love was in it. There is hate, revenge and disgust in it.
"Fine…" Aviana turns around as she doesn't want to argue anymore cause she knows it's useless to get over the ego of him and herself.
A few minutes was taken and she walked out with a low shoulder dress and simple messy bun mixed with a cute braid at the side of her head.
A light makeup that hid her paleness and a white high heels that matched her light beige dress. Look angelic, that's the word to describe her.
Haven was stunned as his eyes were shining on her in that kind of dress, not that he never saw her, just that today she's a bit attractive in his eyes. Is that because of their argument?
"Let's go, it will be late Mr. Haven" she said while lowering her gaze, knowing what she'll see deeply in his eyes, disgust.
Haven walked out and he drove to his father's penthouse, where the party was held.
Haven parked the car and both of them walked out, she clinging to his arms and once the door was opened, the spotlight was changed.
All the murmuring was heard by Aviana, she doesn't know why all of that was heard like a negative talk in her ears.
But when they reached the table where all the dessert was served, Haven immediately let go her hands.
"I'm gonna talk to my parents, don't ashamed me or I'll not admit that I know you" he said then walked away, leaving her.
"Do you really hate me?" she mumbled and someone approached her.
"Hey…are you okay? You look pale…" a woman said to her.
"Ouh, I'm fine, just a bit tired of work" Aviana tried to show her smile.
"I see…the life of an adult wasn't that free right?" she asked and both of them chuckled, agreeing with the fact.
"No one said it'll be free though, it's just us who thought it'll be" they chuckled.
"We got the same vibe~ I'm Gina" she lent a hand.
"I'm Aviana~" Aviana shakes hands with her.
"So, you're secretary? Or someone's partner~" she teased.
"I'm a secretary, I have no partner~" she giggled and drank her juice in a glass.
"I see, but you look attractive…I mean, even in my eyes as a woman and I'm pretty sure others also looked at you as I looked!" she said.
"No way…if that what I looked now, maybe now, I'm not single anymore"
"You're still?! I thought you're someone's partner or someone's wife!" she was surprised.
"Unfortunately I'm not, I almost…but it's just an experience that'll build me to be a better person in the future" Aviana lowered her head once she looked at Haven.
"Then, why didn't you look for one? We got a lot of gentlemen in here~" she teased.
Aviana giggled "oh my god, you make my stomach hurt" she smiled in tears.
"Yeah, I'm a funny person~" Gina cheers her.
"I think I want to go get some air…wanna follow?" she asked.
"Nah~ I'm good, I still got a few guests, have fun!" she waved before walking away in the crowds.
Aviana put down her glass and walked out, the backyard with a pool in it was a cool thing, giving a cold surrounding but everything that happened was already cold to her. She hung herself and warmed up, maybe it's cold but she is more into it.
"Haven, I thought you wanted to bring your girlfriend today?" his dad asked.
"She's busy…" he said in short.
"Don't lie Haven, she's just a secretary and you're the boss, how can she have more work than you?" his mom added.
"It's not about her work, it's about other things. She said that she's busy and can't get along with it" he said.
"Was that her words or yours?" his mom asked.
"That's her, mom…why do I need to lie to you?" he said in confidence even knowing that was a complete lie.
"Okay, if you said so" she said with poker face.
Then, Melinda approached him as she wanted to say something.
"What?" he whispered.
"Just follow me…" she insisted and pulled his wrist.
Both of them went to the backyard and Melinda pinned Haven to the wall.
"This is about Aviana…" she said.
"I don't want to know about her…" he said.
"But it's really important! We knew something that'll lower your ego and change your perspective towards her!" she pointed to his chest.
Meanwhile, Aviana heard a woman's voice that was not far from her place and she tried to look for it until she saw Melinda with someone.
"Is she fighting with someone?" her heart whispered.
"I said I don't want to know!! Even she died!! I don't care about her anymore, a whore like that was a cheater!!!" his high voice was heard by Aviana and she was startled.
"I know this voice…" Aviana moved a bit forward and saw Haven in an angry face.
"But you'll regret it!!" Melinda insisted on it.
"I said no it means no! That Aviana Toddler doesn't exist anymore in my life…" he said and it broke Aviana's heart into uncounted pieces.
"He hates me that much…?" she clenched her chest and felt the pain.
Suddenly, a guard was passing through Melinda and accidentally hit her back, which made her fall into Haven's arms.
"I'm sorry Miss! I'm rushing!" a guy in black said.
"It's okay…" Melinda said.
"Are you okay? He hits you a bit hard isn't it?" he asked while looking through her.
"Nah, I'm just fine," she said and stood by herself.
Aviana watches every single thing and it breaks other than heart, her feelings, her love, her hope and herself. She gives too much hope to him until he throws right into a deep hole that is shrouded with darkness and broken glass.
Aviana walked away silently and left the party without Haven's knowing it.
She took a taxi and went back to her house. In her disappointment, she needs to keep herself strong as there's another life that lives in her, waiting for love from a family.
Even if she lost her hope in love, at least there's a life that'll teach her how to love wholeheartedly.
"It's okay…I'm— gonna give you all of my love, even if the world turned you down, I'll stay with you until the day I die, I promised" she cried…her baby was the one who'll stay, that's already enough for her now.
Meanwhile Haven walked in back and looked at the desserts table, knowing that Aviana wasn't there.
He was rushing and looked around until he stopped in the middle of the crowds.
"Why are you busy looking for her? I thought you hate her" his good side appeared and teased.
"Well, you know love can't be denied and he's just too egoic," his bad side said.
"Maybe you're right, maybe she's with Vinod right now, who knows" his good side then disappeared followed by his bad side.
Haven immediately looked for Vinod and he was just socializing normally with other guests.
Haven frowned for a while and informed his dad that he'll leave first.
He immediately drove to her house and watched from afar, her house's lights weren't lit up and it was so silent inside when he heard from the main door.
"Maybe she's already sleeping…" he thought then went home.
When arrived at his home and layed on the bed with king size, he felt empty suddenly.
"Why?" a question that kept repeating in his head and he sat down as there was a phone call.
"Hello Liam…"
"Haven!! I got news!!" he yelled.
"Do you want me to be deaf!??" he scolded him.
"Hehe I'm sorry! But that's not what I want to say! Did you know about Aviana!?" he said in excitement.
"I don't want to know" he almost ended the call until Liam shouted something.
"We got proof that Aviana's child was yours!!!" he shouted.
"What? What did you say?" he asked.
"We got proof! Me and Melinda found where the mistake was!" he said.
"Continue…" Haven seriously focuses on them.
"Okay, before I tell you the proof. I want to ask you a question, it may be a bit of privacy but it'll be very helpful if you tell me" he said.
"What is it?"
"When was the first time you and Aviana did the s£x?" he asked and Haven almost ended up the call then he just went along with Liam's question.
"Like about one week ago, in that week" he said.
"We got information that she was pregnant for 2 weeks right?" he asked.
"Yeah…"
"So it's your child!!!" he said and Haven still blurred.
"If you think you're doing to well with your life, I can send you straight to the heaven's door" he said
"No! Listen! Pregnancy of women has been counted since the last period, if she is really carrying Vinod's child, it should be at least one month! Why don't you think back?" he said and Haven frowned as he take the logic.
Then he widened his eyes as he remembered the moment when she took a shower, he was buying her pad. She's having a period at that time, there's no way to get a period if she's pregnant that time.
"But! I thought women can't get pregnant if they have a period?!" he said, surprised.
"Are you skipping the science and biology class? Even if she can't get pregnant when she has her period, there's still a chance and the higher chance will be when it's the fertilization phase where ovum comes out" Melinda explained.
"But, how about the footage?!"
"The footage…we still got no proof to make Aviana as innocent but her child can be confirmed as your child Haven, you're the father" Liam added and suddenly the call ended.
"Hello? Haven?" he kept calling but Haven didn't pick up.
"Let him…he'll get his wife…" Melinda said and Liam made his poker face.
