Chapter 19 SIGMUND

Melissa ran into Elton's company, her footsteps heavy on the tiles floor. Her heart was racing and pounding furiously. She shoved the security men aside who were chasing after her and she mumbled an apology under her breath. She ran into the elevator and aggressively tapped down a button.
She must get to see Mr Manager. She must see him.
"What are you doing here? This is no place for a kid!" Lizzy shrieked when she saw Melissa.
"I'm not here to cause any trouble...," Melissa paused out of breath. "Is Mr Manager here? They t..took my mum." Melissa pointed westwards.
"Your mum?" Mr. James came from behind Lizzy. "Who took your mum?" He looked stupefied.
"A black car drove in..some minutes ago in front of the company. Two men dressed in black came out, grabbed my mum and drove off." Melissa rambled on.
"Slow down, Melissa." Mr James said. "Have you seen these men before?" He asked her.
"No, no, no. I have never seen them before." Melissa answered.
"I took a picture of the sports car." Manie, a staff of his said.
Mr James turned to face him. "That's good." He collected Manie's phone and stared intently at the picture.
Lizzy came beside Mr James. "I've seen that car before. Sigmund's son owns it."
"Who's Sigmund?" Mr James asked.
"Sigmund Bank Company. Our rival." Lizzy replied.
Mr James gasped then scoffed. "I really thought they have gone out of business." He laughed.
"There's no time, Mr Manager. We must save my mother." Melissa tugged at his hand.
"Hold on, Melissa. Stay with Lizzy while I get your mother." He patted Melissa's face.
Melissa turned to Lizzy who looked aghast when she heard that. "But we have a board meeting in fifteen minutes, James." She said.
"Who is more important here, Lizzy? That can hold while I get Patricia." Mr James said then started walking away.
"Patricia?" Lizzy was taken aback at the way he called her fondly. She might need to get the police involved in this matter.
**********
Patricia's eyes slowly opened. She felt woozy and dizzy at the same time. Bright lights almost blinded her eyes. What did they give her? She must have dozed off on something like a drug. She looked down at herself, her hands were tied behind the wooden chair she sat on. Her head wreached around, she must be placed in a basement. It was such a scruffy looking place. She tried to scream and she realized that she had been gagged.
"You're awake." She heard a voice. She turned to look at the person. He was sturdy, tall and had a golden tinted hair.
He gave a huge smile and removed her gag.
"I didn't want our meeting to be like this, sincerely." He sounded remorseful for his act.
"Who are you?" Patricia asked, eyeing him from head to toe.
"Wow. I'm bruised." He scoffed, picked another wooden chair and sat before her.
"You don't know me. I thought I was famous." He laughed at his joke. "My father is Sigmund Bank, he's presently out of town and he has placed me his son, Hank Bank to oversee his company." He explained.
"Oh, Sigmund Bank Company." She muttered.
"Well yes, at least you know that name." He grinned pleasantly.
"What do you want with me? I don't even know you." She told him.
"Just a simple 'quest that's all," he paused. "I still don't get it why you don't know me." He smirked.
"Hank, there must have been some sorta mistake.., do you even know me?" Patricia asked him.
"Yes, I know you. Why won't I know the famous sales representative? You're Patricia EvelynTaylor."
Mrs Taylor was surprised at the way he called out her names in full. What would he definitely want with her?
"I got to hear about some new product your manager was working on. An insider told me that you must have some knowledge about him. You just get me its name and the procedure. Then I'll let you go. That's all. It's as simple as that." He ranted on.
"An insider? Who's this insider? Your spy?" Patricia seemed surprised when she heard that.
"You don't need to worry about that." He waved it off.
"Why didn't you get it from your spy or your insider? Why grope me in this? If Mr James gets to identify you, he wouldn't let you off the hook." Patricia told him.
"Oh, the lover boy. It's so interesting how he takes you out on dates. Intriguing."
Patricia was already growing angry when she heard that. If looking into their company was not enough! He now brood into their private lives.
"You are disgusting, you should know that." She barked. "Why would you be interested in another's private project and also planning to steal it?"
"Easy, Mrs Taylor. Easy. Just do the little task and you're free to go." He assured.
"Never." She spat at him.
He stood up, pushed his chair aggressively and laughed. "You need some torture, I guess." He shrugged.
Then he whistled, two lanky men walked into the basement with rods and batons.
