Chapter 13 She is in best view!

Nurin POV
Bay view seaside
This place is amazing. While the country may have its share of pickpockets, it's still filled with genuinely kind and honest people. Even the pharmacies here are reliable—you’re required to provide your details, and they write your name, phone number, and where you're staying right on the pharmacy bag.
The pharmacist handed me my medication and prescription with a friendly smile. As I started to walk away, I paused and turned back toward the counter. I hesitated to start a conversation, but the pharmacist noticed me and took the lead.
“Yes, Miss? Is there anything else you need?”
“Yeah, sorry to bother you,” I said politely. “I just wanted to know if the bay view is nearby?”
“Yes, of course,” he replied. “Just walk straight ahead, take a left, and you’ll find it. It’s a beautiful spot.”
“Thank you,” I said, grateful for the helpful directions.
It’s a good thing that some of the locals here are kind enough to satisfy my curiosity and answer my questions. I followed the pharmacist’s directions—walked straight down the street, then took a left turn as instructed.
And that’s exactly what I did. I continued along the road, feeling safe even as a solo female traveler. After about ten minutes, I reached the turn. A few more minutes of walking, and finally, I arrived at my destination—the bay view.
There were fewer people at the bay view than I had expected. Off to my right, a small group was chatting happily, their laughter ringing through the air. I found myself chuckling quietly, even though I had no idea what they were talking about—it felt a little silly, but also comforting.
I took the path to the right, the only one I recognized that would lead me back to the hotel. As I walked, I became completely immersed in the beauty of the sea. I’ve always loved the feeling of the cool breeze against my skin, the scent of the ocean, and the calm that comes with simply breathing it all in.
If I had someone to share this moment with, it might have felt even more special. But at the same time, being alone gave me the space I needed—to reflect, to slow down, and to reconnect with myself.
As I walked, I felt tears silently fall from my eyes. I wasn’t sure if I was coming down with a cold or if I was simply feeling the weight of loneliness in this unfamiliar place. Still, I reminded myself that I needed to enjoy this trip—it was the only thing I could offer my mind and soul right now. I’ve always loved tying handkerchiefs to the straps of my bags, a small habit that brings me comfort wherever I go.
While trying to untie one of them, I suddenly felt a surge of strong, positive energy from a distance. It wasn’t some paranormal sense—I don’t believe in that—but it genuinely felt like something was pulling me forward, guiding me from where I stood toward something ahead.
I paused, wiped my tears with my scarf instead of the handkerchief, and continued walking. That’s when I saw him—a man stepping out of a black 2018 Jeep Wrangler. Somehow, I felt that the energy I sensed was coming from him. I couldn’t quite make out his face—he was a few steps away—but even at a glance, I could tell he was handsome, even with those sunglasses on at night. Who wears shades after dark? But oddly, it worked. He was fit, well-dressed, and carried himself like a character from a fairytale.
He stood there, completely still, staring at the sea as if he were trying to lose himself in its depths. I told myself to keep walking—I had to get back to the hotel. But as I passed by him, I heard him let out a deep, heavy sigh, like he was trying to release something that had weighed him down for too long.
A few steps later, I stopped. I turned toward the ocean again. Maybe I, too, needed to drown in the stillness of the sea—just for a moment.
The sea breeze was calming and soothing—it had a way of helping you forget both the past and the present. If you’re searching for a way to change your future, maybe all you need is to reconnect with your soul through the touch of the breeze.
I sat on a bench near the bay view, and from the corner of my eye, I could still see him. I placed my pharmacy bag beside me and noticed that he, too, had taken a seat on the bench next to mine.
Just sitting there, gazing out at the tranquil water, really worked. It helped clear my mind in a way I hadn’t expected. I was so lost in the moment that I didn’t even realize I had been sitting there for two whole hours, doing nothing but breathing and thinking.
Eventually, I stood up to leave—completely unaware that I had left my pharmacy bag behind. I also hadn’t noticed that the handkerchief I’d tried to untie earlier had slipped from my bag.
