Ayaz POV Ayaz Foundation School of Arts After my late lunch, I decided to head back to my commercial building, which I had converted into an art school. My passion for the arts runs deep, and I’ve always wanted to give dreamers the opportunity to pursue it. That’s why I created this school and named it after myself—as the founder, president, and CEO. We offer programs in painting, sculpture, architecture, music, dance, and theater. We also specialize in fine arts, including filmmaking, photography, design, and conceptual art. Through my foundation, each course offers scholarships to ten students per semester, totaling 100 scholars across all programs. To me, art is more than just a hobby or passion—it’s a powerful form of self-expression and discovery. It has the power to transform lives, connect people, and bring love and appreciation from both familiar faces and complete strangers. There’s a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose that comes with that. As I walked through the entrance of the school, I noticed the buzz of new energy in the air. The academic year had just started last month, in September, so fresh faces filled the halls, along with familiar ones from previous years. We've now been operating for six years. I started this school using the first paycheck I earned from my debut film To Die for Love. The film was a major hit, both locally and internationally—it topped screens for three straight months. That success launched my career and brought me international recognition, leading to brand sponsorships, numerous endorsements, and hundreds of project offers. The fame I received was unexpected, but I’ve always believed that success should be shared. That’s why I opened this school—to give back and offer opportunities to aspiring artists, musicians, and filmmakers. It wasn’t easy to get to where I am today, and staying here is even more challenging. But the reward comes in seeing the impact. As I made my way to the lobby, I could almost smell the love and gratitude in the air. The appreciation from both students and staff was tangible. I passed smiling faces in the halls, heard the cheerful laughter in the lobby, and caught bits of lively conversation from the music and dance rooms. Those small moments are what keep this foundation alive. As long as there’s love for the arts in people’s hearts, I’ll keep this place going. I was on my way to my office when I got a call from Emir. “Yes, salam. Do you need anything?” I asked. He let out a heavy sigh. “I haven’t eaten since I got here.” “Yeah, I know. Don’t worry about me—I figured you needed to rest.” There was another sigh. “Let’s have dinner. I’m pretty sure she’s not coming.” I stopped walking. “Wait—she? Who’s she?” “Nothing,” he said quickly. “Just a girl I met at the hotel.” “Oh, the receptionist? She is pretty…” “No, not her. She’s also a guest. She’s staying next door to me. I asked her to dinner tonight at 7 p.m., but I don’t think she’ll show up. We didn’t exactly start on the best note.” Now, knowing Emir—the notorious playboy who rarely shows signs of nerves or hesitation—it surprised me. Even though he’s from a conservative family like me, he’s always been reckless when it came to women. But something felt different this time. He seemed completely unlike himself. Maybe he’s changed. Maybe, for once, he actually wants to change—for the better. I could tell this girl was something special. Emir doesn’t suit up just to impress someone. He wouldn't be this anxious if he were still the same old Emir. No woman has ever made him act this way before. Curious, I asked, “How do you know she’s not coming? Did you talk to her? Did she say yes? Did she say no? What happened?” He scratched his head and replied nervously, “Ayaz, I don’t really know... I just feel like she won’t come. But I’m hoping she will. I’ve been praying for it. If she shows up, that’ll be my sign—to change. To become a better man. I’ll give up the womanizing, for real.” Then he smiled, sheepishly but sincerely. I wasn’t expecting that from Emir. For him to say something like that? This girl must really be something. Powerful enough to stir that kind of change in him. Now I’m starting to wonder… I want to meet her too. Things often have a way of falling back into place, but I found myself caught between two possibilities—would she show up, swayed by his charming words, or would she stay away, because not all women are easy to win over? Either way, I knew I’d enjoy seeing how the story played out. After all, we never really know what the future holds. So let’s wait and see how it unfolds.
